I have enjoyed BLACK BOTTLE. Good whisky at a good price. I was under the impression LEDAIG was their Peated Malt and Bunnaabhain as one of their non-peated Malt. Burns Stewart owns both Tobermory and Bunnaabhain.
I have OLD GRAND-DAD BIB in my Glass. Looking for that Cedar Water from the Jersey Pine Barrens note. LOL

I never understand why people hate on blends so much. Yes some are truly awful, but there are really bad single malts too. Great video guys as always, it's great how fast your channel is growing!

Yeah I reviewed the Spice Tree over on my channel and it really is one of my favorites. I honestly like everything I've ever had from Compass Box. Yes they are slightly pricey sometimes, but I've yet to be disappointed by them.
You may be surprised how many people who aren't whisky drinkers like the Orangerie. I never did buy a bottle (didn't sound like something I'd like) but I have a lot of customers who come back regularly to pick up more!
Now we know Bart's Dorito Scotch. Thanks guys. I would have passed this one by but now I'll have to give it a second look.

I'm not a huge fan of the current Black Bottle (without modification). It's not as peaty as i expected it to be, so I prefer my older bottles of Teacher's. However, I blend approximately 80% Back Bottle with 20% Ardmore Single Malt (you could probably use Laphroaig 10 instead) and it makes a really nice easy drinking peaty blend. Give it a try.

Nice going sans notes - tried it once from a Scotsman - he was so thrilled to have it - I liked it but not as much as I like Teachers, cutty sark prohibition and cutty sark storm.
If I can find a bottle of the old Black Bottle that will be fun to compare.

It's mostly Bunnahabhain. I found the older bottles where better, but you can't beat it for a bottomshelf blend

Hi Guys great review. I bought the new Black Bottle in Vancouver for C$40 in May. Its good for entry level blends with some smoke and peat. At similar entry level pricing range in Canada the other options are McClellands 1818 Islay Single Malt and Te Bheag (blend). If you have tried please let me know your comments. Thanks.

I have avoided the new bottling, after seeing bad reviews. They changed the formula, the old (green bottle) was very good. I have two bottles of the green. They had a 10yo & 15yo that would have loved to try.

Bart likes Teacher's a little better but both are good.
I like Teacher's better than Black Bottle. I never had any of the earlier version of Black Bottle, but I hear that it was much better than the current recipe. Of course the same thing can be said about the older version of Teacher's.

I had the volume down and I thought I heard Scott unequivocally say that dragons were 'definitely' real. Went back and listened again, and heard the 'maybe'. I started worrying that Scott had some strange conspiracy theory interests (along the lines of lizard men), and maybe he does. Maybe, while he's looking over at his laptop, he's casually perusing some crazy stuff. Bart, stop him before he passes the point of no return. ~_^
