Im in my early 40s and I just bought my first classic 1970 GMC C2500. Watching your videos is like my father teaching me how to work on it. I appreciate you sharing all of your knowledge. 🙏
Seriously. Some other amateurs spend time goofing off and cracking dumb jokes with bad camera angles and beat around the bush before like 5 minutes in finally getting into the project
Helpful video I’m in the process of installing mine on my new doors (71’C20) before I put the doors on the truck where I’m currently stuck at is installing the switches a video short of the cutting when installing in the door and/or panel where the existing window handle goes would be very helpful before I get all cut happy thanx for all your hard work
Loved the video! I'm looking forward to installing new power window regulators, window tracks and seals in my '68. To add, I've popped myself a time or two in the face while working on my old truck, it's something that we all can't avoid.
Great video series, for sure one of the best I have seen. I plan to do this and the vent window delete to my '74 C10. Hope this earned you another 10 cents.
Great video - been bustin m hump getting my nu-relics in my Ramcharger. - but looking at ur video I’m thinking I’m going to do t rush and get all this tuff removed first -thx, great video
This is the second video I seen from you guys and it's just as awesome as the first one very great job explain things taking time to show I'm definitely subscribing
I was hoping you showed the installation of the FWC for the wiring, that is the part I need to see the most. Maybe that is in another video, I will look for it.
@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV hello sir I have your small window delete kit but I'm wanting to do power windows. Do you guys sell the motors and track for yalls single window kit?
As a tech in a dealer, we fight the clock because pay is flat rate. Pulling steering wheels for some type of service is needed. Even though I had $4 in pullers, it takes time to find what you need as stacked on top of each other. Either way, I had a habit of removing the nut and pulling up on the steering wheel left & right side with enough force to pop them off. Once I took the nut completely off instead of 5 or 6 threads. It came off and spent an hour with “TP” in my nostrils to keep from bleed on a customers car. That is one of those mistakes, you only make once! ASE Master Tech since 1978
We just drilled a small hole 1/2" in each and ran the wires through with some of that Braided Insulation around the outside to protect them from chaffing.
One thing I would like to know do you have to buy new door panels you’re going to have a hole where the roller was or Does the switch go in the old hole ?
It's going to depend on how big the hole was where your handle went through. In most cases the hole is small enough to cover with the new switch. if it is too big, you can always create a small trim piece that will cover the hole and mount the switch into the trim. That way you can avoid the cost of new panels.
You have multiple options. You could mount the switch in the raised portion of your panel where the handle was. You can also convert to a flat panel like '71 and earlier used. Or, you could use a handle style switch like we show here in this video: ua-cam.com/video/paon2nt8wxU/v-deo.html
I plan on installing electric windows on my 65 C10. I bought a 21 circuit fuse box, I noticed that it didn’t have a plug/wire for electric windows. This truck that your working on; does it have a plug for electric. windows? My understanding is that you ran the hot wire directly to the fuse box’?!
Love the video, very insightful. Would you know of a conversion kit that would fit a 2 door, gen 1 Mitsubishi Montero. the door style is very similar just on a smaller scale. Thanks!
Hello would you happen to have a video in how to put the original driver's side window in a 1967 dodge pickup. Im just replacing not up grading or modifying. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV awesome I have the kit and have already modified the channels but I don’t know how the electrical part mounts inside the door. I didn’t see anything in the instructions besides drilling the 5/16” Hole for the A and B spots on the door
@@jamesconner489 James, we have a separate video about how to install the power motor assembly already, here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/RvwYsAHU4Io/v-deo.html
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV that’s the power window kit that still has the vent window. I have the complete one piece glass kit that has a different motor. I sent an email to the orders@brotherstrucks.com account with a picture
@@jamesconner489 Which motor did you get? We use the same motor for all 67-72 power windows regardless of whether it has a vent or not. Videos take time, sometimes a big project like this could take months to organize, shoot and edit. In this case, we also need a donor truck which we mentioned a couple weeks ago when you made the suggestion, which also adds to the timeline of creating a video. We will do it, but it's going to be a bit before you see it here on our UA-cam channel.

Hi, Great video! Do you know of a kit that will work for a 47 Dodge pickup?
Contact Specialty Power Windows, they have lots of different kits and some universal types as well.
We run the hot to a relay that is connected either to a robust circuit on the fuse box or to the battery.
Will this work for the 1 piece windows they sell for these trucks

No sir, we only specialize in Chevrolet and GMC Trucks, we have no sources or knowledge on the Mitsubishi.
Just switch over to a chevy, not similar and larger in scale.
Does it work with one piece window conversions?
How did you get the wire from the cab to the door you never showed it
Do you offer kits for a 71-72 Pontiac Grand Prix, and also for a 71-71 Ford Mustang??

Oh okay thanks anyway 🙂
Would it be possible to reference the Brothers part numbers for the kits that you mention during your videos?

Is there a power lock conversion kit?
We don't carry one at the moment, but there ard some options out there
Does the kit include the regulators for both sides
