I was on this record ( backing vocals), took some rearranging before it was finally finished,as Paul’s original composition left no real spaces for a vocal ! Paul and Barry were easy going and good company .
I never appreciated his incredible vocal delivery as I was too young at the time this was released. I can't get over his range, power and cut glass pronunciation. What an incredible talent. I'm so glad we have these wonderful videos to look back on.
@PMexPat. OMG! How lucky were you to have met and worked with Paul and Barry. That must have been amazing. I am a child of the 60's and remember their songs so well, and it's a big thumbs up to UA-cam that we can still hear so many of their songs and see so many performances. Barry had a beautiful yet powerful voice which I'll certainly never forget 💞.
Woah!!! Barry Ryan had a proper pair of pipes didn't he? Big dramatic orchestral pop to go with his emotional soulful voice. This track has a touch of Eloise about it. I found out earlier today that Barry passed away earlier this week shortly before his 73rd birthday. He's now joined his brother Paul in rock n roll heaven. Rest In Eternal Peace 😥
The star was dipping by the time we got to this stage and I think everything he did had a bit of Eloise about it. But he was brilliant as a singer and a performer.
Yes, but if you've never heard of Eloise & hear this you'd quite like it but after Eloise it seems a bit of a shadow, but if you play it a few times you like it better, I mean most Mozart concertos sound the same don't they!
RIP, RYAN, thank you for your songs, they take me back to my youth

So not afraid of a big song and big music. I love the set- all of it!

It was a great follow 45 to Eloise 👍

1969 methinks follow up to Eloise.
TheGateway37 yeah didn’t do as well as Eloise but still a great song.
You are correct it was after Eloise
The follow up then Kitsch then the Hunt then Judy
Still following him
@@williamanthonydickeson4682 after love is love came the Hund than colour of.. than magical speel than Kitsch etc
Se parece a Eloise ....pero me gustó....😊
Greate's heroes in Vietnam, is now Ukraine ❤.
copilunio gracias por compartir este nuevo video. 😀 ¿Sabes cuándo y dónde fue esa presentación? 🤔
Es en un programa de Televisión Española de 1967 que se llamaba Teleritmo.
@@copilunio Muchas gracias. 😀

No me la quisieron poner como la ven
playback
This song is terrible compared to Eloise and totally forgetful
It is a bit of a shadow soon hearing it as Eloise was an amazing arrangement. If you play it a few times it registerers better & it grows on you.
