Modi visited Lahore on 25th December 2015 and within 7 days Pathankot Air base attack happened still Modi allowed Pakistani ISI agents to visit Pathankot Air base for which he was criticized by opposition parties and in the next 8 months URI attack happened in which 19th indian soldiers lost their life and prime Minister modi changed his policy towards Pakistan after URI attack and till now he has successfully isolated Pakistan diplomatically all over the world including in middle east. Today india has moved on and I think the Pakistani army underestimated prime Minister modi policy of zero tolerance on terrorism

Even now Pakistan army chief has said recently addressing students that India has not recognized Pakistan. If that's so them why is India maintaining embassy in Pakistan if it has not recognized/ Moreover, lot of Indian leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Rajiv Gandhi, LK Advani and even Modi visited Pakistan. They even addressed at Minare pakistan and vajpayee even said the wounds have healed and accepted partition.. I think with this statement of Pak Army chief red line is drawn for the new incumbent govt. Pak army chief should read murder of history by AK aziz. May be a software update is needed for him too. Pakistan should have put more emphasis on Iran gas pipeline to India. It could have given sovereign guarantees to India and would have reaped fantastic revenues by now for pakistan (in dollars). Similarly during G20 India signed IMEC corridor. Actually pakistan should have requested Saudi and UAE to include them in the proposed corridor. But I guess with the present army chief statement pakistan people are not going to get more revenue and will continue to suffer with high inflation. I suspect even after the elections are over any peace initiatives will be scuttled. I have read news in Naya daur that the Arabs have advised by pakistan to make peace with India. Even they told modi about this for which Modi it seems raised the apprehension that they are two power centers in Pakistan and do not know whom to deal with. This was agreed upon by Arab kings too. This was told by Modi in a public rally. I think the same sentiment was echoed by china too and they even told pakistani's that we are doing trade with India despite border clashes. So my point is all the pakistan leaders including Army chief are visiting these countries regularly and I am sure the Arabs must have told them too about the situation. Then why are they not discussing these things in public discourse in pakistan. Good luck

Munne that's not for you to decide but your government. Modi and Sharifs are chuddy buddies. Trade with India resumed for a brief period during Covid. It still could whenever Pakistan decides. Keep in mind that our trade relationship was put on pause by Pakistan because of the Kashmir issue, not the other way around. Democracy is on a decline in your country (considering what the farmers had to go through, Manipur situation still not addressed and Ladakh protesters are still on rhe streets). What you think is and isn't good for your country doesn't matter as international research institutes have labelled India an electoral autocracy (only 2 steps away from complete dictatorship). Soon none of your opinions will matter when Modi turns your country into a full-on dictatorship after the elections.

Governor Zubair's comments are thought provoking. However, the same gentleman was the preeminent spokesperson of Mr. Nawaz Sheriff and his daughter. You really didn't know their (the ruling elite's attitudes in general) disposition and were thinking that they were standing up not for own goals but for larger values? Common sir! Recall that even under intense contestation with the powers that be, all the ruling elites approved Gen Bajwa's extension. If this is not expediency, what is?
