At one time, I hunted wood ducks, in Dutch Bayou. That is where I learned about a Cat Eye, ..it was unbelievable. It was incredible. The Airboats were trying to figure out where we were.
Making decoys also? Based on what was on the table. Love cypress wood. What do you mean by left the reed in the red cedar one? Our NC and VA woodies sounds are more high pitched.
Yes I make decoys too. I cut so many reeds trying to find the perfect sound, to my ear. I finally just settled for what I first made and left the original reed, that I cut, in the cedar call.
So wife woke me up early with her snoring, so i went made a pot of coffee and turned on UA-cam looking for how to make a tone board and incert for a call... Found your video... Wife wakes up half way threw the video. (Due to the smell of coffee and me being happily watching something without her.) She sleepily walks into the room looks at the tv ( roughly around where your walking and sanding) goes is that UA-cam, and coffee??? Yeah... She looks at the tv again rubs her eyes and sayes when did luke bryan get a youtube channel...
@@rapalabass1 glad you liked the story... And had a good laugh, great video by the way... I'm up in Canada so best we got in my area is maybe some cedars and birtch.. If I'm lucky in my adventures i may find a small juniper but i more or less take the berries to make some gin... ( gotta make the wife happy)... Lol
Outstanding! Love to see when self-made equipment work and being made. Great video, mahalo for sharing.
Great looking call .I always wondered if cypress would work. They say it flys apart on a lathe. That sounded like a peacock at first🤣
That’s awsome

Can I buy one please. I like the low pitch one for some reason they don't sell them like that and that's the most common sound I hear on the water
