    What tools are you using to press fit the band?

    • @mccaincalls4879

      I use an arbor press from Harbor Freight. I leave the barrel about .005” oversized and press the band on then pin them with three pins.

    Great video and process, thanks for sharing. Do you use any oil finish on your calls, or do you just leave them raw? Just thinking about the hunting environment which is pretty wet, would you give the call a soak in Linseed oil to give it some protection?

      I use velvit oil as a finish. I soak it for a few hours, let it dry for a day or two, then buff with Tripoli.

    Where did you get your cutter for reeds?

      I believe I picked the the box from Hobby Lobby. Any cray store should have them. I use Fiskers scissors to make the dog ears and small trims to the reed

    What size is your drill bit?

    • @mccaincalls4879
      @mccaincalls4879  Рік тому

      I use a 15/64” for my tone channel. 1/4” is another popular choice

    What kind of jig is that?

    • @mccaincalls4879
      @mccaincalls4879  2 роки тому

      It is a custom jig made by Webfoot. I made my own tone board and he mapped it to make a custom jig for me

    Do you have an email address or phone contact?
