me personally, i like making my horror games in thin spaces, and i like to play around with the player with the thought of “I know something is here, but is it?”
its kinda hard to make a EFFECTIVE horror game. The monster never feels threathning in the games... unless.. you make a AI. A AI that will roam around the map! GENIUS!! Also very cool tutorial ! hope il see more from ya! :]
an ai is possible but you need a very complex contraption

The making of my horror game in obby creator is becoming more realistic and yes you should make a part 3. Thanks JackAwanter!
For ambience, you can either put some creepy stock sounds or make it a few quiet audio clips that play in a random order.
This was a good video, it helps me realize what I did wrong in one of my main ones, I had a backrooms obby which is currently replaced with the obby called multi cyber, and it was really scary due to no entities and no like objectives
We need a part 3, we need to know how to make rtx and go over some more spooky stuffs.

JackAwanter you can just go to global properties, lighting, then turn all of the colors black, set brightness to 0, and set shadow softness to 0, then voilà, you have good lighting.

to be honest a good horror game doesnt contain jumpscares, or many unless used effectively and has tension built to it.
a good horror game will try its very best to build tension and paranoia in the players mind, it will do things that it knows its intention, not random things that you can think is scary, it varys with everyone. so yeah thats what a good horror game is.

i made the contraption for the hallucinations properly, put the moving parts very high above the map but it still wont work. the moving parts dissapear and the music still plays.
can somebody help me with this?

How to do Night time :
Make a black box
Change the material to "Neon"
Add black smoke
Finish, but add some light though
There's a way to make a following block by a pressure plate and a conveyor I think and use a push block block it better then using a moving block
