Tip, jumpscares don't have to kill the player, or even be close to the camera! Think of like, the dream scene in poppy playtime chapter 3, yk the phone scene has a "jump scare" at the end of it with almost no audio, with catnap hiding behind a wall and simply rushing away when the player sees him. Most players actually got more scared when they saw that jumpscare than actual catnaps jumpscare, if you don't have advanced tools, I recommend doing something similar.

hot take: jumpscares aren't even scary. they're just a lousy mechanic to get a jump out of the player for a quick buck and are more frustrating than anything; in any game most of the time i'm not even scared of the jumpscare itself, what scares me more is the stupid anticipation and _waiting_ for it to appear. they spook people but in itself they're not scary at all because people get spooked by literally anything loud and/or sudden. for example; you don't find a car speeding by you and honking horrifying, no? if anything you just get bummed or embarrassed for being caught offguard or something like that. i feel like people really need to start branching out to experiment with more tactics to actually scare people; i've seen multiple games take advantage of, say, the fear of darkness for example

Horror game can be scare without advanced tools... Just... need quiet for a good horror style. Like: in a infinity room a creature hunting to you and need to escape. Need big map, and scary moments like: boxes fallinh down, creature run away front of u like your autphobia obby. But thats true without robux its not be so scary!

For This Horror Game. Could it Be a Full Story? Like All Horror Games Have an Enemy That's After You and You Just Must Battle it. And Fix Puzzles and it Should Have Long ScreenTime with Climax. Also More Than 1 Threats are Better in Horror

Also u can get rid of light clipping in your room with advanced tools by setting to night time 18 - 4 well kinda get rid if it its kinda visible so just add another roof (saw this in a video)

Goes to show with enough creativity you can do anything even with horrible limitations
idea for a new tutorial 1 how to make cutsenes 2 how to make a random rooms chases and the final how to make a jeff shop system
Tip 1#: if you want to make like the night without the advanced tools tell people to switch to mid night or make a skybox
Tip 2#: maybe watch some tutorials before doing obby + reshape premades could really help!
Tip 3#: It needs to have a good enviorment for it if it's not it's pretty much a circle in a square hole.
Tip 4#: Uh i don't have a tip for this so it ends here

Calling Mario “greedy” for having sound effects as a game pass is stupid. The game was intended for players to make OBBIES not horror games. In horror games sound is necessary if you want it to be good, but in obbies sound isn’t necessary, which is why it’s a gamepass.
good point, that is true. obby creator is kind of steering away from obbies, because i haven’t seen many obbies lately.

Most of obby games uses background music, also not to mention the checkpoint sound.
Also troll obbies, They use ALOT of sounds & stuff.
Not to mention, that, Mario should atleast decrease the price for the Advanced Tools, Since it's obvious that horror obbies & story obbies and other stuff that needing Advanced Tools is CRUCIAL are becoming famous.

The thing that made me quit the OC over piggy build mode is A LOT rbx items and there is no normal coding system, the only thing you have is buttons, unlike PBM with links (i pissed off when saw a boss fight tutorial with those push blocks)
