My dad told me a story about how when he was in his teens, him and a bunch of friends were driving somewhere. But someone parked their car in the middle of the road, so they got together and picked it up and put it in the grass and drove off.
We used to walk through a large dealership back lot at night and would occasionally move a compact car into an impossible position. Four guys can easily pick up the back end and move a manual transmission FWD car in neutral with the parking brake set.
+Zach Jobe In europe in some countrys nothing special...in france for example, they even pull other cars away to make the space bigger. Luckily not here in germany, otherwise i wouldnt park my car anywhere only in my own garage.
Where I went to college, the building was on a hillside going lower than the road and parking lot and the edge of all the parking lot surrounding the school had a 1-2 foot drop down to the grass and all the sidewalks/delivery ramps had 1 foot stone walls segments along them. 6 guys managed to move my smart 12 feet to the pavement edge, and put it down on the grass. After the auto class stopped laughing, they made a ramp so I could get it back onto the parking lot. Drove us crazy trying to figure out who did it until graduation where the guys came up and gave me a framed picture of them moving it.
dungarosie no it doesn't. For a start it takes 2 minutes to actually get to the video and then they don't even lift it. They just take enough weight off to slide it. And grow up. You're making yourself look like a 12 y/o
Daniel Wilson smarts are rear wheel drive with a rear transverse mounted engine... The parking brake acts on the rear wheels just like all cars that I know of.
Dinoraptor101 LOL he said "Only the back tires were (rotating) so the parking brake wasn't engaged, the front were locked from the transmission" How are the front locked from the transmission on a car with a rear wheel drive, rear engined configuration, GENIUS? All the weight is in the rear in these cars, that's why the front weren't moving, they were the only wheels these guys were able to lift off the ground. The rears were dragging against the clutch, because this model, the first sold in the US, has a park position, the previous version, and the one I own, would have been in neutral when turned off.
You can wreck the transmission of Smart Car pushing or pulling it - remember the engine is under the back of the car driving the rear wheels, and users are instructed to park their Smarts with the gears set in reverse. So forcing one forward is really not a good idea !
I owned a gas-powered Smart some years ago. They're hard to move horizontally but crazy easy to TIP UP ON THE NOSE. Today, I own an electric Smart. No one will ever tip it let alone move it horizontally. The battery runs the entire length of the car. HEAVY.
It's rear wheel drive, with rear wheel parking brake. As long as the rear wheels are lifted, I think they will get away with this without causing damage. The bigger problem is the guy in the blue shirt who I noticed was lifting the car by plastic bodywork. XD That's about a 1800lb car with fuel. Lighter than most, but not as light as it looks. It weighs about as much as larger volume Japanese kei cars like a Suzuki Wagon R or almost as much as a Honda Acty van.
So what? Spectacularly unimpressive. In high school a bunch of kids picked up a teacher's Honda Civic and turned it sideways in a parking space by hand, no straps. Also, while my friend and I were sitting in my Datsun 510 listening to the radio at lunch, a couple of the same idiots came and picked up the rear end. So I fired it, threw it in reverse and gunned it. It was a rear wheel drive sedan. The headmaster came out and asked me to turn it off and let them go. We compromised. He said I could keep them there for a half hour.
The AE86 of Mt. Akina I think so. I've driven three. My parent's old 510 in high school and two 200SX. One in college and one later. My last 200SX looked like a refugee from a junkyard. I bought it when it was15 years old the a/c still worked. The 2.0l I-4 engines in all three were bulletproof. Just gas and oil.
incredibly light? I guess - if you think 1800 pounds is light. they never lifted it - they just rolled it, most likely screwing up the transmission. they probably also damaged the under body of the car.
Damage the underbody and the transmission? Another expert from afar! No, probably not, especially under the circumstances, as they handled the problem created by the Smart driver with style and thoughtfulness.
Christopher Springmann how was a "problem" created by the driver of the car? is it parked illegally? either way, these people should be arrested for grand theft auto.
The real question here is how the fuck they got 5 guys in a day cab truck. Or how it's stuck on dry flat pavement. It easy to move a car, me and 4 friends turned a buddys civic sideways between 2 cars in the McDonald parking lot in high school so he couldn't leave.
They did not lift it. All they needed was a small wheeled jack under the rear round tube, and then 2 guys with straps in front pull. Most of the weight is in the back where the Engine, Transmission, Drivetrain are located.
***** Shit happens. They didn't break or scratch the Smart in any way, so who give a legit fuck if anyone moves it to keep food trucks coming in to your fucking store?
People saying they broke it by forcing the gearbox to move in park, it will move literally 1 inch in park. The parking pin inside the trans wont let it roll at all
well I own a manual vehicle and I know first hand that you have to put on a parking brake, even if there is no parking pin in the trans. And if you can make a locked parking brake move, then you should be a body builder
All they had to lift one rear tire of the ground. Park pin locks output shaft of the transmission. Rear diff is open. Thus one wheel in air will spin opposite direction that the car is moving. No damage to anything on the car. Evn those straps didn't do anything to the car. But this was way to much work then it should have been.
Why were they moving it? It looks like the semi had at least some room to back up. If you can get four guys to lift a smart car, you can get one guy to stand back behind the semi and give you hand signals.
Why is it that there’s always one guy that isn’t doing shit when it comes to moving heavy things? In this case here, it’s the fool in the blue shirt. He’s just petting the car lol
I wonder why they really moved the car in the first place. as a truck driver, the driver could have straight backed then slightly turned his wheels left to leave, yet they took it upon themselves to move & potentially damage someone else car. Not to mention that's so unsafe & they put the car in a no parking zone with the yellow on the curb. Perfect video for court.
Same thing happend to my buddy at school he drives a little Ford Festiva, really small car he went to the parking lot and it was turned sideways in the spot from people picking it up and moving it lol
Dragon Butt IMO the semi-driver parked like a dumbass. The reason he couldn't reverse is because he parked on the curb (so the video says). I drive a truck and I've never done anything that stupid. The guy in the Smart parked legally and sensibly. He'd have to be clairvoyant to predict a retarded truck driver would get stuck on a curb behind him. lol
I own an s-Class, dodge viper and a smart cabrio. It be no dif if someone tried to push any 3 of my cars. Using a strap under the car actually bents the side panels and possibly the fuel lines. That is horrible
a lot of Smart Fortwo owners near where I live park their street-legal golf carts crappily, so I would love to just push one onto the curb so I can properly park my car.
I can't believe you told them to lift it and then post a video on UA-cam saying they did something wrong!
Mustang Wolf there's always that one piece of SHIT who instigates a whole situation and then acts like they didn't play any part in it.
Ethan Right! I was thinking that same thing!
sounds like lucky has no friends lol
Welcome to click bait titles, my friend.

DID ANYBODY NOTICE THE TWO CARS ACROSS THE STREET THEY ARE SUPER CLOSE TOGETHER
+Zach Jobe in europe that is pretty normal. people even hit almost everytime. just to fit in to parking space :P go to italy or france :D
+Zach Jobe Good view of the cars at 1:48
+Zach Jobe In europe in some countrys nothing special...in france for example, they even pull other cars away to make the space bigger. Luckily not here in germany, otherwise i wouldnt park my car anywhere only in my own garage.
+Zach Jobe That's how it looks in LA also. It's a cluster fuck over here.
This is 101% normal in Puerto Rico.

Since when is moving a toy illegal? Don't leave your toys in the road.
oooOooOooOohhh!
Tell that to tesla
😂😂😂
Vehicle tampering is an offence in the UK… yes I know vid is US or Canada?
If that was my car, and I showed up as these guys were doing this: I'd totally just lean back and watch the show.
+Gandalf the White Thats exacly what i was thinking.
+Gandalf the White id kill myself before i would buy one of these stupid ass cars.
+Gandalf the White I would watch them thinking and then moving my car, and when they're done with the exercice I just jump in my car and ride home.
i want 2:40 minutes of my life back now....
Taytilla420 then you best leave youtube, most videos are boring shit
Taytilla420 no more zmoke for you 👳
The title says exactly what is going to happen in the video. What the fuck did you expect, fucking fucktard.
dungarosie no it doesn't. For a start it takes 2 minutes to actually get to the video and then they don't even lift it. They just take enough weight off to slide it. And grow up. You're making yourself look like a 12 y/o
I was hoping for them to get caught by the police then drop the car and run... I didn't even get a video of a lifted car
what the hell parking job is going on across the street
I think they pulled up as close to the car in front as they could, so they weren't blocking the other driveway .. 1:47,, 2:08,,,, I'm just guessing
They lift at 2:20....
What a saver
+Bro Army lol no problem
Thanks
Caleb Whitted u saved 2min n 19 sec of my life😂 thanks
Caleb Whitted I
Imagine having a smart car and five dudes just up and take it. Literally.
the car across the street is getting a rim job from the car behind it lol
🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
5 Guys 1 Smart
1:45 looks like someone parked a bit to close to the other car across the street.
lol
Shhh… they're just 2 Hondas having sex
2JZ-GTE Making small Toyotas
if the tires are rotating can they just have push it
Only the back tires were so the parking brake wasn't engaged, the front were locked from the transmission

No law that prevents people from lifting a car by hand and moving it. Just towing the vehicle without owner or property owner permission is illegal.
I owned a gas-powered Smart some years ago. They're hard to move horizontally but crazy easy to TIP UP ON THE NOSE.
Today, I own an electric Smart. No one will ever tip it let alone move it horizontally. The battery runs the entire length of the car. HEAVY.
Electric smart car? That's extra gay
August Cardea gayyy
If you really believe that its that "heavy"😂😂😂😂
You know what it sounds like when he drives past? iiiiiiiiiiiiiiim gay
Back in my days, gay meant a guy fucking another guy. Nowadays, it seems that everything makes you gay. What is the next gay thing? Drinking beer?
I get these stuck in my air cleaner of my pickup truck at least once a week
this has broken transmission written all over it lol
Luke Sowers you won't be saying that when someone clips you on the highway going 70mph.
Luke Sowers the car is a death trap.
Luke Sowers WRONG. FAKE NEWS! I've seen MANY videos of them being completely obliterated by other cars.
it's got a very strong safety cell that protects it
Sir Lord Mr President Trump I just came from that video lol
way to mess up that smart car transmission.

HiFiFiZzy I've never worried about whether other people thought I was cool ever in my life.
Was the datsun a good car?
The AE86 of Mt. Akina I think so. I've driven three. My parent's old 510 in high school and two 200SX. One in college and one later. My last 200SX looked like a refugee from a junkyard. lokisgodhi
Ive got to say that was fast thinking on your part.
The guy in the blue t shirt didn't help do shit hahaha
I'd be pissed if that was my car
You would be pissed if you had a smart car
You would be pissed if a semi hit your car
funtimekid1199 No I wouldn't because he would be liable for damages.
Aaaand you would be severly injured, while the guy in the truck would think he ran over a cat
TheCoolcy dumbass if the person was in the car they would have moved it..
2:20 -2:25 the guy in blue shirt was like; guys look I'm helping.
Welp, that car isn't smart anymore.
LOL When they move it like that, it makes it look like a toy car.
incredibly light? I guess - if you think 1800 pounds is light. they never lifted it - they just rolled it, most likely screwing up the transmission. they probably also damaged the under body of the car.

Less then twenty feet. Does not count as GTA even by the strictest of definitions.
chieftp it's a smart. it deserves that
chieftp the semi was stuck. they couldn't find owner of car so they moved it themselves.
That's a 600 million dollar law suit.
The real question here is how the fuck they got 5 guys in a day cab truck. Or how it's stuck on dry flat pavement. It easy to move a car, me and 4 friends turned a buddys civic sideways between 2 cars in the McDonald parking lot in high school so he couldn't leave.
What the fuck
After that i was waiting for the owner to show up and drive off lol
If that was my car I probably wouldn’t know the difference.
Its only illegal if they damaged it or didn’t put it back... had to do this 5 times in my 16 years as a truck driver.
"Do you even lift bro"
*"Good question"*
They did not lift it. All they needed was a small wheeled jack under the rear round tube, and then 2 guys with straps in front pull. Most of the weight is in the back where the Engine, Transmission, Drivetrain are located.
They should get back to work, whose gonna make my double cheeseburger?
Fun! Can you lift just the front wheels off the pavement and roll on the back wheels?Hope that they did not cause any damage.
now thats one way to steal a car
First time I think they will lift the smart into the semi truck and steal it!
I have homework due tommorow yet I'm watching this... I need a life. Lmao
When lifting a smart car, be sure to do it the legal way.
Gotta love a 15 sec video dragged out to almost 3 minutes
Wait... The truck driver didn't have diff lock??? MmmmmK
not all trucks have diff lock most use limited slip
on a single axle?
can't you just phone the registry office, quite the licence plate and ask for contact info, and then just ring the owner to come and move it haha
Weaklings. Two decently strong men could have lifted the rear to move it.
pls show us we are too weak
2 men can lift 1500 lbs?
I don't get why this guy keeps deleting the links I post to the 2 other videos of less people doing the same thing....
And figuring in weight distribution, lifting one axle would be in the 700-900 lb range.
you can't lift the rear and push it that's how you break the drive train gears etc
"damn that smart car is in the way" "Soooo go pick it up and move it out of the way duh"
And that's how you get shot. They have No right to touch tat car at all. I would definitely flip out if I see anyone touching my car
Was this Queens, NY? The streets looks so much like Flushing or Forest Hills.
5? Bitch please.. I can pick that little car up with one hand! HOLD MY JUICE!
NO BUSINESS TOUCHING SOMEONES PROPERTY!!
+wood2hoz4 Don't park like a fucking dipshit then. Problem solved.
+wood2hoz4 Don't park like a fucking dipshit then. Problem solved.
+BewbsAreAzum It wasn't the smart car owner's fault. The truck got stuck on the curb, dipshit.
Alex Brown Apparently too close to the fucking truck.
***** Shit happens. They didn't break or scratch the Smart in any way, so who give a legit fuck if anyone moves it to keep food trucks coming in to your fucking store?
People saying they broke it by forcing the gearbox to move in park, it will move literally 1 inch in park. The parking pin inside the trans wont let it roll at all
Dean Kruse It's an automated manual. There is no "park".
well I own a manual vehicle and I know first hand that you have to put on a parking brake, even if there is no parking pin in the trans. And if you can make a locked parking brake move, then you should be a body builder
+Jason S (Jay) Wrong. There is a Parking gear. Source: I own one.
Now the owner will get a parking ticket for being infront of the yellow line. Lol
1:44 That parking sucks! (Why so close?)
The guy in the semi messes up and they have to move someone else's car to pay for their own ignorance
One could argue that this was grand theft auto. They had no right or permission to move someone else's property.
The (older) ones with a steel body are easy to lift with 4 guys. No straps.
not really the back tire was moving, all they have to do was pick the front up and roll it?
+Neil Hamersly The back tire is the tires that have parking brake and emergency brake on.
Not possible because smart cars are rear wheel drive
All they had to lift one rear tire of the ground. Park pin locks output shaft of the transmission. Rear diff is open. Thus one wheel in air will spin opposite direction that the car is moving. No damage to anything on the car. Evn those straps didn't do anything to the car. But this was way to much work then it should have been.
Did you report it to the police ? those straps could have easily damaged sills ,break hoses, and electrics all run underneath the car.
I would have called the police. It's not okay to mess with someones car. There is no telling what kind of damage they caused to it.
That laught at 0:34 !
They should try to pick DEAN SMITH up
I’m so fat. I saw “5 guys” and clicked smh
That smart car is the size of the semi trucks engine bay 😂
Why were they moving it? It looks like the semi had at least some room to back up. If you can get four guys to lift a smart car, you can get one guy to stand back behind the semi and give you hand signals.
The truck CAN'T BACK UP. he said at the beginning the tires were just spinning. Could possibly be a transmission issue.
You st**id person did you even watch the first 30 seconds before commenting this. Smh 🤦♂️
I pressed the like button while the ad was playing before the video 😂
Is that drake with the Afro 😂😂😂😂😂
2:18 is where the magic happens
The trailer for Pikmin 4
I remembered I saw a couple of guys lift a VW Beetle in a movie
Wrong title. They dont lift it
They rolled it
Their mistake \ problem equals another damaged vehicle? I hope they had to pay.
How innovative...
Twenty five years ago we used to pick up carry Geo Metros and Yugos with the driver inside.
Illegally lift? There probably wasn’t a law about picking up cars in the first place, because we never were meant to lift them by hand like this 😂
How could they push the car if the vehicle is in park and/or if the parking brake is engaged?
Why is it that there’s always one guy that isn’t doing shit when it comes to moving heavy things? In this case here, it’s the fool in the blue shirt. He’s just petting the car lol
If it's front wheel drive and they don't have an emergency break on then you only need to lift the front and vice versa for rear wheel drive
they should have finished it with 4 slashed tires just to put their signature move on it
I wouldn't be able to lift that just because I'd be laughing too much. They even put the car in a yellow NO PARKING ZONE. lol
Geez. People are so entitled these days. That's someone else's property.
You actually need about 10 people to lift that smart car.
That's what happens when you drive a car the size of a deer tick.
I think they could've lifted that without the belts
I wonder why they really moved the car in the first place. as a truck driver, the driver could have straight backed then slightly turned his wheels left to leave, yet they took it upon themselves to move & potentially damage someone else car. Not to mention that's so unsafe & they put the car in a no parking zone with the yellow on the curb. Perfect video for court.
Charles Brown the truck was stuck. does anyone listen to what people are saying in the video? ugh. who's to say they didn't move it back afterwards.
Now move the big rig boys!
least they had the decency to move it, if that was my country the truck would have just slowly driven into the back of it to push it forward
Reminds me in highschool moving a buddys VW Golf onto the football field.
its about 750kg, so each person lift 150kg. some sedan are lighter
Same thing happend to my buddy at school he drives a little Ford Festiva, really small car he went to the parking lot and it was turned sideways in the spot from people picking it up and moving it lol
What A Holes , There Lucky That's Not My Car . . .
Hopefully you park better than that Ahole. :D
Dragon Butt IMO the semi-driver parked like a dumbass. The reason he couldn't reverse is because he parked on the curb (so the video says). I drive a truck and I've never done anything that stupid. The guy in the Smart parked legally and sensibly. He'd have to be clairvoyant to predict a retarded truck driver would get stuck on a curb behind him. lol
krayziesensei
I dont drive a truck, so that was informative.
Dragon Butt I was referring to driving a semi for work.
You're lucky that's not your car.
so yall was the ones that moved my car? lol
Did they put it back after the truck left?
No harm done
Maybe categorized as Illegal but really no damage and no big deal just 2Metres
Or you can literally go under the rear driver side and pop the linkage and it will roll in neutral. Takes one person
I own an s-Class, dodge viper and a smart cabrio. It be no dif if someone tried to push any 3 of my cars. Using a strap under the car actually bents the side panels and possibly the fuel lines. That is horrible
How do you figure they lifted it? The tires are rolling.
They just couldn't stick to making Burgers and Fries...
2:20 me and the boys stealing your smart cat
a lot of Smart Fortwo owners near where I live park their street-legal golf carts crappily, so I would love to just push one onto the curb so I can properly park my car.
Across the street, the black car is touching the grey car.
