Before specialising they would have had to do a required general art thingy first and choose their specialty in year 2 or 3, kinda the same for all disciplines I suppose. We had to do a bit of evth in 1Yr Biz school as well ...
BBC sure is helpful as gifted Courtauld a whopping 70 points on Art ... Goldman would have killed it! Degas, Breugels, 3 American artists, Watteau, Lizzie Siddall,, Constable, 3 Birmingham Museum English artists ... Courtauld must be turning in his grave 😥
snape truly missed a golden opportunity: Hi my name is ... Snape, I previously taught defence against the dark arts at hogwarts. However, now I am studying...
No they specifically want the name of the poem which is Ulysses. If the question was about the hero then Odysseas would have been accepted but it's not called that in a similar way to how Odysseas wouldn't be accepted for the Joyce book either.
Vanover and Shepherd really look like stereotypical Art students. Also, what kind of occupation can one pursue with a "Master's in 18th century French art"?
Spandan Sengupta Coz UC doesn't bother so contestants don't. Barely even 1 question on cricket, football, tennis or F1 per episode and a few none at all... go figure ...
If your ever going through any peronal problems do not bother writing into the mitigating panel as they will not treat you seriously. We are customers not students to this university.
I'm sure a few people do, but I'm afraid I don't! I only really speak French, but I learned Dutch and German at school long enough to have short conversations and feign the accent.
Good lord, Courtauld looks like parodies of art-students.
buzzing early and getting it wrong is an epidemic among this years competitors! Anyway, thank you so much for the upload :)
and very annoying, along with Paxman's, come on, I need an answer...
Thanks for posting, and as always great work and care on the subtitles.
We're all very grateful
I have been glued to your versions of the episodes. Thanks a lot @psimanjuntak.
How can the Courtauld team miss the art questions? Over-specialized in their respective time periods, I suppose. A bit embarrassing.

IKR?! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Jack SNAPE"
something something Harry Potter....
Thanks for the upload. Hardest questions in the season so far, first time with less than 10... :O
De Bock is absolutely dominating! He could probably have entered by himself and won the whole season.
I wish that were true! This season has many quizzers far better than me, and I can only say that the next rounds will be very exciting!
Thanks for posting
Thanks for the upload. Lopsided but interesting questions!
Surely Odysseus is the same answer as Ulysses?
exactly...
BBC sure is helpful as gifted Courtauld a whopping 70 points on Art ... Goldman would have killed it!
Degas, Breugels, 3 American artists, Watteau, Lizzie Siddall,, Constable, 3 Birmingham Museum English artists ... Courtauld must be turning in his grave 😥
the art students look hilarious
Not the most exciting match but looking forward to seeing more of De Bock's prowess. He'll be a force to be reckoned with this season, I'm sure.
Thank you! We won't be back until January, our second round match is the last to be broadcast.
You pretty much won this for Oxford Brookes-well done!
Strong but no all-time top tier IMO, this season already we've had better.
I agree. This series has an absurd amount of very good quizzers, and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of it.
snape truly missed a golden opportunity: Hi my name is ... Snape, I previously taught defence against the dark arts at hogwarts. However, now I am studying...
Wasn't Snape the potions master?
Thank you!
Music questions 3/3 right. Finally, I get to be able to say that after watching this show for so long, and not having a damn clue most of the time :)
Same here, brother. Except I didn't get one of them..
Not giving Odysseus lol I suppose he did ask specifically
That's not the name of the poem. You couldn't say 'Life on Ares' for a bowie song
Ty again
Disappointed in the homophobic and misogynistic comments under this video. Oxford Brookes are a great team and fun to watch, too.
@MichaelKingsfordGray Bullshit.
@@hughmac13: It's the same sort of bullshit that he posts on every UC video. Thinks he's intelligent but is clearly a bit dim.
@MichaelKingsfordGray Coward.
At 14:44 Ulysses is the latinised version of Odysseus so the answer is correct
No they specifically want the name of the poem which is Ulysses. If the question was about the hero then Odysseas would have been accepted but it's not called that in a similar way to how Odysseas wouldn't be accepted for the Joyce book either.
It's a bit embarrassing when someone with no formal higher education knows the artists and the art students do not.
While not the strongest game so far, I still found todays game enjoyable to watch. Also, Logan was cute ;).
Inigo Purcell???? - parents obsession with the past gone firkin mad.......
Why do they always look like that?
Vanover and Shepherd really look like stereotypical Art students.
Also, what kind of occupation can one pursue with a "Master's in 18th century French art"?
Kolya the Great Curator !!
Professor of 18th century French art
Timothy Jacobs You're my kinda guy.
These kids can and will get director jobs at all the big museums
Even though the art students weren't great, they seem like nice people.
In my next life I want to be as smart as De Bock :D
Aw, thank you ^^
Stop the presses, David Hockney has discovered the fountain of youth. (And is trying to keep it to himself.)
I had also noticed the resemblancem though somewhat less eccentric,
De Bock looks like Jarrod Alonge
those pretentious art students got rightfully trounced
why pretentious? they seemed to be very demure...
Can I marry De Bock already?
phwoar
Ew
Why are people on UC so ignorant about sports in general?
Spandan Sengupta Coz UC doesn't bother so contestants don't.
Barely even 1 question on cricket, football, tennis or F1 per episode and a few none at all... go figure ...
My F1 knowledge is awesome, but cricket is a massive blind spot for me!
Hope u got an F1 question like Potts got 'Monza' last season. Is it all shot and canned?
I'm good at tennis n F1 but can't be bothered w cricket 😎
Max Verstappen called: he wants to speak with you urgently

A bit imbalanced , Oxford high intellectuals against one direction art of the past?
De Bock carried his whole team.
De bock is a prat with that greeting
The intro was a stupid idea I told the producers for a joke. They encouraged me to do it.
don't listen to him you were great and that was funny
I made a similar snap judgement at the time, but soon recanted
tommykl but for real do you and other Belgians speak all 3 languages or do you guys just study 1 or 2 of them?
I'm sure a few people do, but I'm afraid I don't! I only really speak French, but I learned Dutch and German at school long enough to have short conversations and feign the accent.
Good to see some female contestants that don't look like Jane Seymour.
the under a different way to go on the way to go on to the the
Incorrect, and I'm afraid you lose 5 points.
Snape would get it, 100 times over.
Quite painful to watch in places. DeBock won this easily, when not misled by O'Shea.
