Thanks for checking out MicroWeb! I have some improvements in the works for a bunch of things like better Unicode support and displaying images but they aren't quite there yet :)
My dude! I was about to track you down and see if I could send this video to you, I guess you found me first! I'm a big fan, as you can tell! I look forward massively to any updates, I'll keep the channel updated with them...
How tied is this to the IBM PC?
Before I get too excited about the possibility of a pi Pico surfing the web.
@@benholroyd5221 this is a DOS application. It doesn't need to be running on a real IBM PC, but it needs to be running on a system that runs DOS (DR-DOS/PC-DOS/MS-DOS).
@@AlsGeekLab I was thinking more. Are dos interrupts and magic numbers peppered about the place, or in one or 2 defined places.
I noticed a platform library but that didn't seem to contain all the system calls I'd expect.
This is some awesome software. I have got to try this on my pcjr.
I didn't go quite as low tech as you, but I did get MicroWeb running on a IBM PS/2 Model 30 with a 10 MHz 286. I'm so glad that there are a few people that keep the cool retro stuff going.
It's really great, isn't it!?
My first PC - 12MHz 1MB 40MB HDD SVGA. And I never changed it, just replaced parts ;) - all of them.
Certainly MUCH better than the Apple II Web Browser.
The Contiki browser isn't a lot of fun, that's for sure! I never did get to try the one for the 2GS because it needed more RAM.
Wow very cool Old school PC stuff 😀😀😀
Would’ve loved this back in the day with the Amber Hercules
Well it can be had now!
absolutely awesome!
Thank you 🙏😊
Thank you!
That's awesome!
Glad you like it!
Nice one, thanks!
Oh, cool! Maybe I can use it for my 1989 and 1991 Macs!
It's for DOS machines. It won't work on a Mac unless you have that rare PC - add on board.
Doslynx is pretty slow IMO. This is much faster
