I still can't believe that this manga is over after being such a big part of my life for over 2 years, so watching these videos makes ne really happy. Thanks 😊
I just finished this manga in 3 days then came here. Holy shit that was a ride. It made me think and feel so much. The art goes from eye candy to mild disgust rq, but it’s consistent and that counts for smth.
Nomen had a lot of potential and I really liked his final form, he should’ve been the main villain from the start, or Chiharu should’ve been dealt with before Nomen’s final fight, the whole idea of an enemy who has transcended the human experience and all suffering is very interesting
It definitely seemed like a bit of a cliché ending, but I think the themes revolving around healthy vs unhealthy desires was fascinating given that I found them to be metaphors for the pursuit of happiness.
@@ravenwhiteduck6460 That's a great comparison. I haven't thought about it that way, but yes, I'd agree that Jagaaan is a better half human/half monster manga than Tokyo Ghoul. But yes, the ending leaves a lot more to be desired.
Honestly thought the Mikazuchi family deserved better writing than that, I've always found Mikazuchi's death foreseeable but not in a way that... cheap? It's like the author wanted to buff the protagonist so bad but can't think of a better scenario, and it was all ended in a rush too. Either way nice video man, surprised how this barely gets any views
The character modeling and worldview setting are excellent, but the author seems to have lost his touch, so the plot progresses quickly in the mid to late half, and the ending is not very good.
That's a great question. My thoughts are Chiharu is done with fractured humans and will find something new and interesting to occupy his time with. Since Chiharu is a novelty seeker, I believe his experience with Nomen ruined the idea of a fractured human paradise.
@@tonyfunk ohhh, I wonder if Chiharu will be the key for Jagaaan's sequel(if there will be one), cuz I swear Chiharu is always plotting something anyways can you give me a suggestion of seinen mangas to read or mangas or some mangas that have a really unique power system like Jagaaan, cuz seriously I learn alot at reading seinen mangas
I can't relate at all. I liked the changed painting style better. If previously immature human expressions and grotesque depictions caused discord, the artist's human expressions developed and became perfect
The second half was essentially a different manga from the first half, with a different art style, I actually liked Nomen’s arc and his fights with both Chiharu and Jagan, however the first half was better as a manga
this manga literally made me question my desires as well. all those people living false lives is scary.
It really makes you think, which is what makes Jagaaan a profound manga imo.
@@tonyfunk Think and feel! A balance of seeing the blackness of the world. Only to use it as ink to write new thoughts.

Hey man, it makes me really happy to know I was able to provide more Jagaaan content to fans of the series. It's my pleasure!!!
Jagaaaaaan might be the most or second most underrated of my favorite mangas.
It's suuuuuper underappreciated, that's for sure
the end is deep.. everything looks normal and unchanged.. this is probably the worst possible way of suffering for the humans
Man I literally watched your Jagaaan analysis series again yesterday. The timing on this upload is crazy lol
That is pretty crazy timing. Let's just pretend I had a hunch you needed more Jagaaan content lmao

just completed Jagaaaaaan, the last arc was peak.
Great Manga
Great analysis. Not many content is created around jagaaan.
Please consider making one for dolly dolly kill kill too
ouuuu that's a good suggestion. Thanks for that suggestion! I may do just that once I have the time!!! Take care!
Super high quality video. Super surprised by the view and sub count. Definitely deserve more!
Hi! That means a lot! Glad you enjoyed the video!!!
Great Video, this manga truly is a Masterpiece and you explaining it, makes me think about it and appreciating the message more
Thank you for making a video on the ending.... Been Missing content on jaagaaan so this was so great
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! If you're craving more content I have a 3 part series (1 part recap and 2 parts analysis) on the themes of Jagaaan. :D
I remember reading the shit out of this manga back in 2019 but stopped for some reason, this video encouraged me to maybe get around to finishing it.

can't believe this video only got 943 views despite having so much quality
Thanks so much!!!!
Here one year later just finished jagaaan thankyou for this video not much on the internet talking about the ending
Didn't know this manga already ended. A good time to read it, I guess.
Absolutely, that way you don't have to wait for new chapters!
Just finished it a while ago. It's so good, especially the last volume. Might re-read it sometime in the future.
Great vid man
Thank you!!!!
Hey man I wanted to say I appreciate the analysis on this manga I just finished it and I was wondering how I felt you put it into perspective
Ending was okay, love conquers all trope was sadly predictable but besides that a fairly satisfying wrap up
It definitely seemed like a bit of a cliché ending, but I think the themes revolving around healthy vs unhealthy desires was fascinating given that I found them to be metaphors for the pursuit of happiness.
@@tonyfunk yeah I liked it, just not in love with it, the series kinda reminded me a lot about tokyo ghoul but better, even the ending

why was chiharu philosophy "wrong"? i dont get it?

One of the best manga out there for sure in terms of story, only thing i'd change about it would be artstyle, honestly it sucked.
Yeah, right? Like Jagasaki is always off model as if they couldn't decide on what he was supposed to look like.
something happened with the artist hand and his art style just deteriorated over time
@@Luis-ky7wxthe art is still decent even if it’s not as good as it used to be
