    Hello all my fellow Propain Brother's and Sisters! Thanks for watching :) Just wanted to add that in order to get better mud clearence - I would suggest to get the longer version mudguard and mount it to the chainstay instead, that way you won't have to heat-shape the guard.
    And if you want a totally clean look, without the mudguard, the Rockshox Hose holders used in this video can simply be added to the bottom part of the back triangle close to BB, keep the propain-bracket and the cables should be safe from the tires.
    Oh and if you enjoyed this it's totally OK for me if you chose to Subscribe to this channel and maybe leave a like, I won't get mad at all, promise. ✌

    I have used just one zip tie per each cable in the same place as you have your "quick fix" zipties. I found so far no issues riding for around 5 months now, riding jumps and enduro:)

    • @Frorideism

      @@Frorideism cool :) how do you like the bike so far? I found that I should've taken one size smaller and am still strugling with tunning the Rockshox coil shock.. the suggested spring was way to soft so I bought 50lb harder but probably will have to step it up once more..

    • @Frorideism

      @@LowBr4in Really enjoy it tbh! Destroyed the Newmen Wheels after 2 weeks so that was a bummer but the bike itself and the geo feels spot on.
      Oh dang, yeah the modern bikes are big in sizing right now, and so many people are telling everyone to "size up" all the time - which is not always the best option.
      Have you tried like a 35mm stem and slightly narrower bars?

    • @LowBr4in
      @LowBr4in 2 роки тому

      @@Frorideism unlucky with the wheels, mine are holding up quite good so far and there were few cases already 😁 do you use tire inserts? feels like for me it kinda helps. The geo is great indeed!
      I run short stem always, I just don't like long stems it feels so awkward for me. I am 180cm and running 780bars, thinking about cutting them down to 770, only thing that I am affraid of is that it's hard to go back :)
      Feels like the suggested sizing is measured for EWC riding, but maybe I will like it once bike park season starts, will see then..

      @Frorideism  2 роки тому

      @@LowBr4in Yeah Cushcore Always! ;)
      One think I really could notice at the start was the the bike sits really high, which was a bit awkward at first but I got used to it.
      In what way do you feel that it's too big btw?

  • @Smerigventje_

    Very Creative. I might try something like this when I get my bike. I was also thinking about 3D printing a custom bracket.

    • @Frorideism
      @Frorideism  2 роки тому +2

      It works for now :)
      Yeah Iv’e seen those printed brackets too, but so far they still look like they’ll flop around abit, don’t know.
      Would be cool to have it connected to the frame somehow and not only the cables 🤔

    I ordered my Tyee on the 29th of December. It is due for production in the 2nd week of May, so long to wait. Your solution seems to be a good one. However to begin with, I think that I will try using cut up pop bottles, or pet as you would say. That way I can cheaply cut the plastic to the exact shape needed. Trial and error will hopefully find the perfect solution. It would be interesting to see if your solution works. Though judging by the snow outside your window, you may not be riding that much. Never mind, we had our first feel of spring yesterday, so it won't be long before you can test it out.

      Let's cross our finger's and hope you get it in time! :)
      Yeah after making this video I think that it may be better to get a longer mudguard and mount it to the chainstay instead - This will make for better clearance for mud.
      It still does work, but I had to heat-shape it to get better shape.
      I've had a few rides and now the snow came back and killed my spirit again... 🥱

      Tehe, in all other aspects these bikes are absolute killers, have had no issues with the routing after sorting it out - I did remove the mudguard though because I live in a too muddy area lol.
      So I feel you 100%, it should be better.
      But the bike itself slays

    In the Spidrift and Hugene the cables go above the bottom bracket, I cannot see why they do not do that in the Tyee. I guess the best solution is going completely wireless, even the brakes...hehe.

    • @Frorideism

    You could get rid of one cable by going AXS. For the remaining one it is maybe helpful to mount it on the back of a bashguard.

      The wooden T-thing was interesting too 😎
      Myself iv'e removed the mudguard now later on and instead put shrink-rubber tubing on the cables, inside the frame protection, holding the cables, and then using the hose-guides from Rockshox to hold them into place away from the tire.
