I loved seeing them together on the nest last evening. From here in Upper Michigan! Majestic birds.

I've never been more invested in these beautiful creatures. I aways understood them as our American emblem. I rescued one of these beauties when being hit by a car. I was so scared at first but that dissipated quickly and now proud of saving her.

I believe Jackie ate some, if not all, of them. All goodness to her, after sitting so long in the nest

If you're talking about the nesting material on Jackie's beak, yes, that's all it was. Nothing unusual about Shadow's beak.
Is there any chance she will lay eggs soon, in better weather?
All that snow all the weather a good mommy set an alarm eggs forever. Hopefully next time all will go well
