As a taiko player, it's always really nice to see new up and coming players! I hope you're enjoying the game :] Italy has quite the taiko community, too...!
It's awesome to see your well made Taiko videos helping to fill the Taiko content void! :D I also switched to Taiko in may and I've been having a blast, the game mode does feel like having brain damage when learning new things, but it's absolutely unreal how satisfying and enjoyable it is once everything flows
This video makes me want to play taiko ngl. I finally got out of 6 digit after 3 YEARS of playing standard and went on a pp farming roll till i got to rank 68k, got my first 300 and now im feeling kinda lost towards what to do in the game, thanks to your video im either gonna start playing taiko or go back to mania till i get a 300pp play since mania is also pretty cool. Thanks for sharing your journey with us
good progression my brother! i was way slower but... theres a few point i have to make reason wise is because of the maps you displayed in the vid and that you actually is playing taiko to date! based on timelines: 9:20 quiet sfx is actually a good sign! it indicates that you are of the beat. newbies cant play with the sfx off but i can :) you go try i bet you can do well too.. HD next in line 16:00 this map by arc is forcing combinations.. idk if they are trying to make pp out of this but to me it's clear that they belong to group X at the time 17:30 this relatively new map actually has quite the nice flow, thats why when you said it's inflated, it actually not really is. ive played few of hikikochan's and they fulfilled the standard! ok i mentioned that arc was and might still be in group X.. what i was saying is that at the time, arc belongs to a group of people who don't deeply understand how to map taiko (imo). i would argue that this group of people just don't know how to pull the beats out the melody or create the beats, thus resulting a map with bad flow. that doesnt happen with hikikochan's right? another 2 mappers i believe to be almost an equal to hikiko are raiden and chromoxx which chromoxx i think is a bit better than he other 2 like hikikochan is good at chill maps, raiden casual, and chromoxx for semi longstreams for instance, at the moment i read your top 3 pp plays which i dont have those maps atm... those were even newer than the 3 mappers i mentioned above right? their maps arent shit but fell short by mid significant margin. why would i say that? take hivie the NAT for example... i dont know how he got into NAT cus everytime i see their map is always on the bottom list as in highest SR available in the set. try opening it in editor. their map has no soul whatsoever, and you would notice that during the kiai their map such as (asu no yozora shoukaihan, lvc3, and kagarenaki bara juuji) TOO FREQUENTLY starts with kat. that, actually signifies something my friend. and it either they following an agenda of pp map, or that they actually belong to the group X i mentioned earlier. too many new mappers nowadays are forcing combinations. spazza give this a try osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/632613#taiko/1344202 its a blue zenith (exalted level) i made for self progression designed with the thought for better alternating. and if youre sure of yourself then all the better. it was made to be intuitive, just like what the ranked criteria asked for. finally there are mappers that i hold in high regard for their skills: Indonesia - nishizumi - roger - volta - (alwaysyukas should be in the list, but i havent seen his maps in years. speculative) America: - MMzz - OzzyOzrock JP: - 7_7 - TKS - tasuke912 - asuasu_yura - KTYN and his lackeys Germany: - Mew IDK WHERE THEY CAME FROM: - KinomiCandy - komasy there are a few more, but atm these are all i remember and i would one way bet you 1 month supptag that their flows are awesome. so tag me here if you think otherwise, ill gift you that ASAP
awesome video! really happy to see people give taiko a try and give it some more exposure to osu!std players and whatnot. i'm glad you didn't go down the singletap-only route like i did because it makes it really difficult to learn 1/4+1/6 streams, tech, offhands and those kinds of stuff later on. can't wait to see how far you can go with this, good luck! :D
very nice progress. ive been playing myself for around 6 months and currently sitting at 5.6kpp, hit a bit of a wall recently but watching this gave me a lil more motivation to keep going :)
seeing people try out taiko always make me smile, we need more taiko players!!! you made some really nice progress here and with your playstyle you got some real potential. (almost exact same playstyle as me omg)
i started a challenge where i only play taiko offline for exactly 1 year so i can see the improvement when i log back in. my time is coming, next week 16th september
I'm an osu!mania player with about 7.2k pp right now, playing for a few years (got stuck between 6.5k and 6.9k for the last two years or so), and I tried taiko a while back. Since I also have considerable ADOFAI experience I thought it would go pretty well, but it didn't. I try to read the maps like I do in mania (focusing on the middle of the screen and just "noticing" the notes) but I can't understand anything, so I always end up having to read at the receptor, which also doesn't work when the maps gets faster. Seeing you get to this level in one year is very impressive to me. Keep grinding taiko, and I'll keep grinding mania lol.
This was an amazing video spazza!!!! I personally have been on and off taiko, but I never seem to fully get used to the scrolling / reading zone :') I still wonder how I'd do if I was able to "reverse the scrolling", kind of like Mirror mod... But the few times I jumped on Taiko were super fun 😄 Congrats on that grind dude! who knows, you might reach 1k if you go for another improvement arc, I believe 💪💪💪💪 PS: I haven't tried playing with a mirror, maybe that would help lmao
Im still new to osu, I have 4 days on std but the moment I started playing taiko I switched lol. I have 24 hours on it and I got my first 100pp play on a muzukashii map with HR. I didn't get the FC but I was just so excited that I got the 100pp.
i can't comprehend how people play these scrolling rhythm games, both side and up/down scrolling, i wish i could play but i get dizzy while playing it, i have been told to try not to look at each note and just stare somewhere on the screen and let my peripheral do the reading, but i can't play like that, i miss everything :v good job spazza, you improved so much, it's awesome to see
finally we have another good well produced osu taiko video on youtube, love it brother, good shit i wish i had hindsight to stop singletapping like you did here lol, now i'm back to playing muzu after almost 2 years, trying to fight muscle memory but its so hard not to give up trying to learn fullalt and go back to 6 star+ (mainly enjoyment reasons, also I have bad mindset of thinking its gonna click way quicker than it actually will) ps. what're your bpm limits currently? just curious XD
impressive to see.. kinda depressing me cos I've been stuck on muzukashi for ages, i can't get through the oni patterns(and thus cant even pass a song)
i cant give the links because youtube will delete them so i couldnt find a exact match of the dark minimalist one but shdw "I made the cleanest looking mixed skin | osu! Dark Minimal V3" is pretty accurate and PabloMartinez ''[ osu!taiko ] Taiko no Tatsujin Skin (Download)'' is the second one
Ooo you improved so much faster than me! Do you happen to have a link to the skin you use? I love it, the hitsounds and the skin itself are pleasant I'm trying to do full alt too, but my dominant hand always wants to reset whenever there's a small break, and it trips me up when i get to around 4.3-4.6 stars :( Ah I also play on a controller! Out of curiosity, do you do double bounces for faster notes, or single bounces for everything?
I actually really started to enjoy taiko in may this year and been rapidly improving since then, tho my acc isnt as good as urs cuz im a ddkk player, im about inner oni level skill (I also started grinding cuz of medals, but taiko is genuinely a really fun mode)
Well I started very early so I didn't have any muscle memory to "undo" if so to speak, I'd say start with lower diffs and build your way up, it's going to be super frustrating but if you push through it's very rewarding. Good luck!
Idk about hitsound specific settings but lowering the sound effects in general does the same thing (scrollwheel during gameplay, make sure music is louder than sound effects)
nope.. i used to be able to hit 340 bpm with that kind of board.. apex m500 to be exact. gives nice consistency and control but lacking speed whatsoever
sweet improvements my man!!!!
You've really come far since the times i kept asking you to play back in 2022 xd. Im really proud of your progression and hope you keep grinding!!!
As a taiko player, it's always really nice to see new up and coming players! I hope you're enjoying the game :]
Italy has quite the taiko community, too...!
13:10 thats why all rhythm games should be based around accuracy and not combo

finally there are mappers that i hold in high regard for their skills:
Indonesia

there are a few more, but atm these are all i remember and i would one way bet you 1 month supptag that their flows are awesome.
so tag me here if you think otherwise, ill gift you that ASAP
i should add ulqui too, awesome player, awesome mapper
What a journey, watching you is like watching myself when I started learning taiko 2 years ago. Keep it up!!!

happy to see more taiko videos from you, spazza! keep improving, you're doing great!!!
Keep going my man. Hope you reach 10000pp on osu!taiko as well.
I'm glad that you enjoy playing taiko! Goodluck to you in the future!
5:20 what the heck, osu taiko is awesome
As someone who had played taiko and gotten to 3 digit in less than a year, I wish you nothing but the best man! 👍
That's insane! I started during the beginning of 2023 and I'm just now about to reach top 10k lmao
Your improvement for only playing for a year is pretty impressive!
Although I think you should give tech maps a try, they can be very fun.
Nice video! I’m sure you’ll improve a lot during next year too :)
Nice improvement, truly an epic gamer moment! I play taiko rarely so only like 1 star maps. I wish I could do more
Props to spazza for making enjoyable content
i started a challenge where i only play taiko offline for exactly 1 year so i can see the improvement when i log back in.
my time is coming, next week 16th september
5 minutes in and he's already better than me it's so over
Lmao FRR
Love this video! I hope to start my Taiko journey one day too!

5:45 I just remembered why watching UA-cam in bed after waking up is a bad idea
I started taiko a week ago and I just passed my first 4* map today. Watching this video inspired me to face the harder maps. Hoping to fc one soon!!
This was an amazing video spazza!!!!

can you link the skins you used
i cant give the links because youtube will delete them so i couldnt find a exact match of the dark minimalist one but shdw "I made the cleanest looking mixed skin | osu! Dark Minimal V3" is pretty accurate and PabloMartinez ''[ osu!taiko ] Taiko no Tatsujin Skin (Download)'' is the second one
im definately way too late to this comment but on spazza's profile he has all of the skins he used in the skins link in his bio
Ty ❤@@MarsDeity
its joever..... he fallen down the taikohole.
Ooo you improved so much faster than me! Do you happen to have a link to the skin you use? I love it, the hitsounds and the skin itself are pleasant

Amazing. I want to get better at taiko, I didnt know you could change the keybinds.
My current top play is 65pp B rank.
my colourblind ahh cant be bothered with taiko but i still enjoyed
Yoooo skinnnn need it!!!
Dang I’ve been playing for two years and you’re quite a bit better than me, if you think you’re ‘bad’ at Taiko idk what I am lol
1 year in osu catch when:)
GINGUS JUMPSCARE!????!
pain remains
great video man, but how are you ready anything on that skin? my brain overloads if i get a single 100 and it pops up

more progress than me for 8 years xd
Sick vid
ggz derek ^^
ty spaza
Really enjoyed the vid!
May I ask the name of the skins used in the video? Both the "switch like" one and the "ghosty" one?
This taiko scroll makes me feel sick watching it holy
Spazza the like counter sits at 999 thanks to your truly. Hopefully you get 2k likes.
thats my italian goat
yo spazza what is that neat keyboard you're using in this video
Can you make a list of all the skins you used in the video?
link or name of skin that shows up around 8 minute mark????
you so good, i can't even play taiko :(((
Btw did you noticed a difference in your finger control before and after playing taiko?
muy bueno señor
bruv i'm not even good playing taiko but this is like to see your son ending the school lol
woo nice improvement
skin?
Sir as a single tap player i really would love to learn your ways of the full alt any tips
Well I started very early so I didn't have any muscle memory to "undo" if so to speak, I'd say start with lower diffs and build your way up, it's going to be super frustrating but if you push through it's very rewarding. Good luck!
im switching to taiko
is there any way to make the hitsounds quieter thru settings im too dumb to tamper with audio files
Idk about hitsound specific settings but lowering the sound effects in general does the same thing (scrollwheel during gameplay, make sure music is louder than sound effects)
@@eyy_man1162 helped alot ty 😇
Do you think playing with keyboard translate to playing in the arcade?
Gg
nice
Skin pls
Spazza twc 2024
Frrr
hey how do you overcome eyestrain? whenever i try to play taiko my eyes hurt
Play lower AR maps or slightly faster than your usual AR you're comfortable with, or play with EZ mod
this is the reason im quitting taiko
nice thumbnail
What keybinds?
Mania
I have 6k pp in 7 Months
skin pls or i will never try taiko
Which one
taiko best
taiko good
Wrong keyboard used
nope.. i used to be able to hit 340 bpm with that kind of board.. apex m500 to be exact.
gives nice consistency and control but lacking speed whatsoever
thousand likes is easy
Wow first
e
first?!?!!
very good video, youve inspired me to start playing taiko. btw, does anyone know the skins he was using?
You've really come far since the times i kept asking you to play back in 2022 xd. Im really proud of your progression and hope you keep grinding!!!
