Awesome job again, Dom! And THANK YOU for specifically pointing to “doing all the things you need to do BECORE BREAKING THE GREAT RUNE.” It’s absolutely mind-boggling how many “guides” there are for this DLC, out on YT, that completely lead you into advancing NPC questlines beyond breaking points and locking you out of content/loot. Trying to find good loot guides for this DLC that don’t landmine you has been such a chore. Seriously, just that single distinction you’re making sets you miles apart from a heap of other good content creators. Keep up the superb work amigo!

Dude, you bring up such a good point about the DLC that I don’t think is being talked about enough…some parts…quite a few actually, are very…lifeless. The base game never felt like this. There are some parts of the game that feel almost unfinished. It’s still my favorite DLC ever, but it’s still a good point.
There are absolutely parts of the base game that feel like this lol. Imo the dlc is better besides the like river tunnel places and then no horse in ancestral woods is annoying but it makes the area really spooky. The river caves are the only places that are egregious and even then they're basically highways between areas so idk. It's an open world game there's gonna be empty space 🤷♂️
I found the two bears and the bear guy very easy. Way easier than the close by Runebears in the other region. You might want to go back to the bear mausoleum place once your character engaged in plot relevant pyromancy. Oh and for the Sunflower Imp hat... In the scorpion dungeon you missed the Imp Head (Lion) or as I would call it, the Sunflower Imp hat. For this, after going up the ladder, you have to jump on the trap and take it all the way up (past the evil toad) to find to the left the hat. The Imps won't drop that thing.
You can break open the sealed spirit springs, right where they are, by using Margit's shackle, without bothering to look for the sealing mound. I guess they reused the logic for illusionary walls in some way.
6:36 OMFG! this is why I love these videos so much. You showed me where the up current was I took it explored on my own. Actually, behind the mausoleum where you have Red Bear, on the ledge overlooking the fort, if you’ve got the right painting, there appears a guy on a chair and you get the spiraltree Seal.

Btw it wasnt mentioned but i found the Lion Imp Head (+2 Vigor) in the Scorpion River Catacombs. For someone hunting for Armor sets its worth knowing
There’s also a Lion Imp head helm in the catacombs, in the room where the traps come down from the ceiling if you jump on top of the one nearest to the statue of the Basilisk and look to the right it’s sitting there in the little clearing 😁

As for the respawn Kindreds, I have noticed that in DS1, the hollows in Firelink Shrine will respawn without resting at a bonfire. This is the only instance I have ever seen, so seeing the Kindreds do it is interesting.
Yeah, enemies respawn if you go far enough away. I remember testing waves of gold in Limgrave and just going from Gatefront to the other side of the lake was enough for the originally killed soldiers to return.
Loved that Dom glossed over the FLYING SCORPIONS around Scorpion River. That was "Nope nope nope" from me lol. (They aren't that tough... I just enjoy the arachnophobia jokes.)
Take ladder by where black knight ashes are found. Get to wall close to death aura statue. Jump on guard rail to climb spike trap. At top jump off to upper area to find Imp Head (Lion) on dead body + to vigor 10:31
I think the reason for the kindred respawning might be the way the game loads areas for you and as it reloads the areas it may also respawn the enemies
3:05 Not the only thing, there is a painting phantom you can locate once the Sealing Tree has been burnt and Enir-Ilim revealed. Other than that, this plateau is wholly and woefully barren of interest.
I completely agree that compared to the base game where every single corner that you explore you are rewarded with something and your curiosity is never not rewarded. The DLC definitely is slim with exploratory items and the amount of secrets compared to the base game. Still a very enjoyable game mind you but that’s something I noticed.
You can use Margit's or Mohg's shackle on any locked spirit spring and it will automatically unlock it. No need to find where to break the other stones for it to open!
I kept going back and forth in the forges thinking I missed something because there never was a boss or a finish point. Must of hit the switches back and forth a dozen times till I searched UA-cam and found out you examine the forge.

Can't wait for the things u missed episode in the finger ruins! Those places feel so empty. I just sprint past that area since i think there's nothing in there + those baby dune worms are just annoying.
Regarding the kindred of Rot, I suspect the flowers are spawning them. It might be worth killing them and waiting in their location to see if distance or time is the trigger.
In Talu's ruined forge ther's a part near the end where you climb a long ladder to get to the highest level. At the top of that ladder behind you across a gap are some guys and probably one of the loot items Dom mentioned. I assume you can jump that gap. I didn't want to chance it and thought there might be another way and if not I'd just come back to it. going forward you pull a lever that reverses the pipe in the level, and once you jump onto that pipe there is no way to get back that area. So this is a very missable item, if something was over there.
Just finished the video and as promised here is the 2nd comment. 1st off fantastic video! 2ndly, PLEASE make sure to do a quick recap (10-20 seconds) of places we've been so far in this series. For example: "In episode 1 we covered gravesite plains, in episode 2 we covered Belurat castle." Etc... Then end that section of the intro with "and now this is the next part of the DLC and the next step in our journey which is to break the great rune. If you haven't seen my other videos in this series yet, I implore you PLEASE go back and watch them first before following me through this video if you haven't already. You've been warned! ;) " I mean something like that. You can steal what I said verbatim or make it your own. But I feel like that little warning is a good idea because some people might not know that they'll miss out on quest lines/items or whatever if they just randomly start with the breaking of the great rune after they "did some stuff" in the early part of the DLC
3:13 i couldnt agree more , i know people are saying this is the best dlc ever and it may be but i feel like it could if been waay better .. i was actually a little disappointed.. i felt like there was so much running with not a whole lot of things to discover .. idk why i watch these videos cause i got every item in the dlc just like i did in the main game still id give this dlc a 7.5/10 main game is 9.5/10
Everything could be better. This DLC is huge and there's plenty of stuff in it. Some areas are just lore areas or just nice to explore cause they're pretty.
I honestly felt the same about Cerulean Beach and Chrana Grave. After clearing the areas I just kind of try to remember the last two hours and there's only a handful of interesting things. Bit of a shame cause they're very pretty locations. Least fun I've had in the DLC so far.
if your far enough the enemy's will reset idk if it's time or distance but it does happen. i tried to go from caelid to the lakes for more flask and when i came back every enemy was back at full health

Can't wait for the things u missed episode in the finger ruins! Those places feel so empty. I just sprint past that area since i think there's nothing in there + those baby dune worms are just annoying.
The pest enemies can crawl out of the swamps in some areas so maybe after they've been dead awhile they crawl out of that blood sludge
The things you missed videos 5 and 6 aren’t in the playlist so it took me a little while to find them.
2:59, there is an artist there. I didn't remember wich painting it is, but he is there.
I like how much faster and snappier these videos have become. Cutting all the filler was the best choice you made.
No it wasn't. It's just dumb.
@@7eVen.si62 Why so?
Thanks Dom, have an amazing day
Heyy dom ive recently found your channel and ya hv earned a sub great work^^
You can also shatter spirit stones with mohgs shackle good stuff btw
Regarding the kindred of Rot, I suspect the flowers are spawning them. It might be worth killing them and waiting in their location to see if distance or time is the trigger.
Thanks for all the hours of entertainment.
Thank you so much for your Super Thanks! 🤩 You're very very welcome!
You can use the shackles to break the wind springs without finding the other one to break.
You missed a larva tear in the bear area, spawns at night.
Just south of the big red bear.
at 9:20 on the map, south of the skull icon, just where the trees on the map start there is a larval tear at night.
In dark souls 1 in some areas enemys respawn if you go by foot from location and back
If i recall there is another scarab hanging on taylews forge before entering
You've been warned! ;) "
I mean something like that. You can steal what I said verbatim or make it your own. But I feel like that little warning is a good idea because some people might not know that they'll miss out on quest lines/items or whatever if they just randomly start with the breaking of the great rune after they "did some stuff" in the early part of the DLC
Love and appreciate the videos, thanks
Drink every time this guy says "Insane"
3:13 i couldnt agree more , i know people are saying this is the best dlc ever and it may be but i feel like it could if been waay better .. i was actually a little disappointed.. i felt like there was so much running with not a whole lot of things to discover .. idk why i watch these videos cause i got every item in the dlc just like i did in the main game still id give this dlc a 7.5/10 main game is 9.5/10
Everything could be better. This DLC is huge and there's plenty of stuff in it. Some areas are just lore areas or just nice to explore cause they're pretty.
10:00 in this area there is also a larval tear towards the south west, not sure if you got it !!
Thank you for always helping us bro
2:54 nope, wrong... there is also a ghost painter up there too, you missed it.
You missed a larval tear close to the cookbook on the dung pile :)
There’s an Imp head in the scorpion catacombs as well
I honestly felt the same about Cerulean Beach and Chrana Grave.
