Inscape: Bransgore

For Gerard Manley Hopkins, everything in the universe is characterised by 'inscape': the distinctive, dynamic design that constitutes all individual identities. Humans, as the most individually distinctive beings, are able to recognise other inscapes in the act of 'instress', allowing us insight into God's divine creativity through a contemplative engagement with our surroundings.
This film is my attempt to translate the wisdom of this concept to amateur digital cinema. It does not represent anything other than my attempt to understand and appreciate the world.
