Thanks a million Alex for making the video, its brilliant 😊I love the pics you added of poor little Stella 🐶❤ It was an absolute pleasure having you visit and really enjoyed showing you around and all the great chats we had. You've inspired me to kickstart my own youtube channel that's been hovering there in the background all these years. Also thanks to all your followers for all the wonderfull comments left below, I'm truly blown away reading through them 😍
Lovely project you've got going on there! It's so great to see you building up a company like this while still kind of going with the flow of things. Thanks for sharing!
Olly is a true inspiration. To be honest, I barely have enough energy to do simple things around the house. I have no idea how he does all this, AND wake up at 6am. This man is a legend. We must cherish him.
People can be happy without a significant other, you know.@@bekabeka71from what i hear, he is still mourning the loss of his dog, which is very understandable, but other than that he seems happy on his own.
Just wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you and he delivered me from a horrible po - rnography addiction after doing three 24hr fasts. I was struggling really bad with this addiction and I decided that I'd fast one day. Funnily, my first fast accidentally ended up on Mother's Day, so I was sitting in a nice restraunt with my family and I was the only one not eating. But the Lord blessed me for it. After that fast I was free for 2 months and I had never been free for more than a week at the point. But . . . I relapsed again. I fasted once more and this time I was set free for around a month. But . . . I relapsed again. Then I gave up and tried to overcome the addiction on my own for a few months which DID NOT WORK. Eventually I decided to fast once more. This time after the fast God gave me a dream: I was I a forest and a bear charged me from my left handside. I instinctively put up my left arm to guard my throat from the bar which worked. The bear quickly chomped on my arm and broke it. The force of the bear brought me to a one kneed stance and there appeared 2 entities of fear and doubt around me and they wanted to enter into me. But I said "No. Like David and Samson before me" - For context In the Bible David killed a bear and a lion and Samson killed a lion I then grabbed the fur underneath the bear's jaw (How it says David did when he killed the bear 1 Samuel 17:35) and ripped the bears jaw off. The bear fell back dead and I awoke. I didn't immediately realize what the dream was about but I soon would. Not more than a few days later I relapsed *AGAIN* (my arm was broken by the bear). However, immediately after every urge and desire to engage in those activities left me. I have since been *COMPLETELY* free for 1 year and 2-3 months (Nov 2022) Jesus really Loves us and despite the Biblically abominable things I engaged in and encouraged others to as well he saved me from one moment to the next. Repent, Forgive as you've been Forgiven, Love your neighbor as yourself, and Love Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. No matter where you're at God can still save you and wants to. Just start reading the Bible, praying, maybe throw down a fast here and there, and let God lead you to the church he wants you at. You're Life WILL CHANGE. God Bless You with Salvation and Deliverance In Jesus Name! If you have any questions about my testimony or Jesus I'd be more than happy to answer :)
People don’t care about farming living in the middle of nowhere usually. And they also don’t care about single mens mental health because they’ve got family themselves
When I say Olly’s enthusiasm is infectious, he’s 100% responsible for unleashing me on the beekeeping community!😂 His tours are a pure joy & refreshingly honest. I suspect it’s impossible not to become a beekeeper after taking his class because his passion and knowledge are so inspiring! It’s a little slice of heaven on his homestead and the Bohernabreena reservoirs nearby are a natural wonderland for walks too💚 RIP Stella💔
I love that you weren’t a passive observer Alex. I truly believe you learn more by doing than by watching. Thanks for sharing Olly’s journey with us. ❤️🌲🐿🍄
Thanks for the video, Alex. I could listen to Olly all day - his voice reminds me a bit of my Dad in his younger days. He was born in Ireland and immigrated to USA, but passed away in 2019. The scenery is indeed beautiful and I imagine the clean air is loads better than city dwelling. If I'm ever able to visit, I now know one more place to add to my itenerary. :)
Dublin accent is really special to be honest it took me quite a while to master it, every now and then it comes and goes depending on how frequently I talk in English
Ollie could do both, could he not? Hire a beekeeper and expand, and also do tours. Obviously the bee keeper can handle a lot of the bee-related stuff, leaving Ollie to do tours, as well as help with the bees and do the other stuff around the farm. He'd just have to figure out how much of an expansion makes sense right now, with paying someone full-time.
That was fun, thanks Alex. Olly is most definitely an interesting person! It seems to me that he answered his own question about going big or staying small and doing tours, "I love it, I just love meeting people...." I think he should add on a B&B or 2 as well.
Coming back to leave another comment. This farm is the stuff of dreams. Bad things happen sometimes, sure. But I can't get over what Olly's been able to accomplish.
I know I have said this before Alex, but I have litterally no interest in most of the things you do apart from fishing, yet I sit here, not skipping froward, with my mouth wide open until the end of each video. You could have your own country themed TV series and it would be superb!!
This was so interesting. Loved seeing how diversified Olly is and I hope it inspired you on to maybe follow in his path. You have learned so much in these few years.
Land prices are very expensive in Ireland and I presume the same in England so it’s a better option to buy land in France or Italy, much cheaper, much more sun and warmer too
Really excellent video. We are just about to start our bee keeping journey. After spending the last 3years selling around 2000kg of litres annually for a local beekeeper we are now gradually taking over his hives, some 80+ whilst he endeavours to retire :)
Ollie True farming means there is more to do from yesterday.Well focused having fun and well rounded.Your an inspiration to those that might have the ambitions.
Thanks buddy ,networking with Olly was a good move mead was the first alcohol I'm 60 this year my construction job keeps me active but as I get older I still want to be very active blessings from New Zealand.
Thanks Alex for this wonderful video. I love your channel not only for your own projects you share with us, but also for the amazing stories of other lovely people like yourself. What an inspiring story of Olly. He is also very handsome... 🤭
Really enjoyed this video, we are homesteaders in the usa but from germany and england orginally. Miss it back there. its incredible to see standards and cleanliness , something that doesnt exist over here.
What a lovely place. I am on a way to sort of abundance as I just bought a homestead and looking forward to get some animals and gardens going. So exciting. Alex hope you have a good one on pursuing your dream.
Alex, you are intellectual & fun. You said you couldn't get into The Old Testament. Well, l went to Catholic school for 8 years. I couldn't either! But l did start reading The Proverbs. Now THATA was fun. Try it. Love your channel. Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ.
Absolute inspiration! Such a go getter! Just like you Alex! Love your channel!! Thank you for all the effort and time and money you've put into making such amazing and informative videos!! I wish I could do what you do! God bless!!! ✨✨✨
So inspiring! Thank you Alex. I contemplate getting bees everytime I watch one of your videos. I would have to contend with bears though, and a harsher winter than you have.
Ollo, in America people are raising heirloom tomatoes in winter greenhouses and if done organic they fetch a hefty price. The people raising those tomatoes are small farmers looking for away to have a money crop in the winter. Thank you Alex for a great video.
Congratulations Olly, great job !!! You are an inspiration and outstanding example of a well organized man doing everything yourself and so neat and sorted. Kind regards, from New Zealand. (Dr Andries Maritz)
Glad to see a new video! Always love the beekeeping. We are on year 2 with ours and I watched a bunch of your videos from the past and learned so much. Good luck with your travels and move. Can’t wait to see more content.
i really like this channel. You have a great appreciation for nature and i do hope you become dedicated as a bee with your todos and can run a whole farm one day

Great little farm. I think he should do both another hand will make his farming experience much more enjoyable it’ll also free him up to do more tours as he really enjoys that (obviously with less expansion than possible to create time)
Pah hahaha...same😂😂😂💜🐆🦄I'm in Scotland and don't watch the TV either but I must admit to leaving it on so I don't feel alone in my house....( I have lots of animal company so I'm not alone) but hearing sound in the background when I'm not playing music helps a lot....AND my cats love watching the telly especially bird videos or a bit of snooker😂🤣😂🤣 the bairn use to try catch the snooker balls when he was a kitten....very cute and my Luka a beautiful British blue loves trying to follow the flying birds....awwwwww❤️💜 but back to the subject yeah I know what your saying 😁I never ever watch the TV 😉

Olly is a true inspiration. To be honest, I barely have enough energy to do simple things around the house. I have no idea how he does all this, AND wake up at 6am. This man is a legend. We must cherish him.
I felt sad for him, that he has to do it all alone; God bless him, he seems to be a very lovely man.
But he’s all alone and seems like a lonely guy yet he seems like a good guy, I think he deffo needs a wife especially at his age

In this lifestyle, waking up early-like 0300-0400- is totally normal. Your body will wake you up.

Such a wonderful video Alex. Olly seems like such a good dude!
It was really lovely to see his small holding! I don't have the health or the money to have one, but I love watching what other people do with theirs

Two Things, 1. Olly is like a Bee himself, "busy as a bee" kinda inspiring and 2 Dublin is Beautiful great camera work

Olly and his entire operation is awesome and fascinating. This was very intriguing and humbling. What a guy to learn from. Great takeaways.
That Irish guy reminds me of my clever Irish father. Always learning, building, and thinking. Smart guy.
It"s beyond me, how Olly can manage so many projects by himself. Amazing!
Great video again. Olly certainly is a busy person. Don't see how he keeps things straight. Wish him luck with the house. It will be beautiful.
3:29 the smile when he shows the pumpkin is so genuine and prescious.
this was really awesome. I would love to spend some time on that farm and learn from him. He seems like a genuinely nice man
I like that Olly places all his things in the same direction like the jars at 24:24, but also other things :) So satisfying :D
Can't get enough of Alex😊
Coming back to leave another comment. This farm is the stuff of dreams. Bad things happen sometimes, sure. But I can't get over what Olly's been able to accomplish.
And apparently all on his own.
what a kind and generous soul
Another great watch, Alex. Olly seemed like a proper, hard-working, nice guy who just loved what he did. His house will be amazing when completed 😊
Old Celtic blood running through his system. Always something to do. A million ideas. Pioneer

You rarely see someone as busy as Olly. Absolutely amazing.
❤Fantastic, Alex! I could see you doing something very similar! Find that land, child of God, and GO FOR IT!!!
Child of God?....I had no idea Alex had mention anything about being religious 😳😳😳😳I'm a bit surprised by this....😬😬are you just presuming?

Thank you SO much Alex!!!! That was epic! The scenery was beautiful! I am going to check out the links you have posted. I really enjoyed this vlog!
Imagine all the work you can get done if you're active and do what you like doing.
Probably the best video on you tube.
Please let there be more content with Olly.
What a guy! I would 100% move to Dublin to work and learn from Olly... Or just come for a beekeeper experience.
Awesome Episode !!! Great info and Well Made !! Subscribed !! Cool Guy is Ollie !! What a nice Home-Stead and Business he has !
What a fantastic video, Alex !
Olly seems such a nice guy, if he hasn’t got a UA-cam channel, he needs one, so interesting
Love hearing your voice Alex have you ever thought of narrating books? you should as you have a calming voice, Brilliant video really interesting and definitely need to visit ireland! X
OLLI, young man! What you do now is write some books!
A technical book on your farm work, and a more personalised one on you life there so far.
Lovely interview.
No mention of beeswax moulded for people who sew. The wax stops the thread from knitting as much when hand sewing.

So impressed! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Alex I really enjoy your videos so much. Your great personality and connecting with interesting people like you. And your videos are real, not like all the staged stuff you often see online. Really inspriring 😌 greetings from bavaria 🎉
I was binge watching your videos last night wondering when you would post a new one! amazing per usual
Great video! I love watching small holding videos and how people manage them ❤
Absolutely brilliant video 😊 👏
That bee / honey thief, my god, that’s bad, that’s huge balls to be so brazen
Olly is so kind!
Busy people are so inspiring. I love getting stuff done, but if I'm comfy and doing something else (like watching a movie lol) it's hard to motivate me to do the stuff. I could definitely be more of a get-stuff-done-er as well.
Oh my gosh I would pay to stay there a week and work, work work! Great episode Alex. Love it.
❤A life's dream!
I would love to have this man's work ethic and passion
Amazing video, Amazing discovery, as always, Been following you for years now and it truly inspires me to follow my life dream of owning a farm and hopefully achieve self-sufficiency. I hope your move to Bristol went well, always happy to see a new video !

What a bloke , what a life
Good solid honest guys. No trickery or dishonesty or greed. Living the richest kind of grounded life.
What projects have you got going on the farm at the moment? I think we are gonna have to sit down for that one hahaha Awesome! The bees will love all then fruit trees when they flower.
Great little farm.
I think he should do both another hand will make his farming experience much more enjoyable it’ll also free him up to do more tours as he really enjoys that (obviously with less expansion than possible to create time)

Super interesting this homestead style!👌
300 beehives is a lot! We are starting with only 5 here on Alkebulan Farm and we feel like that's a lot!
Good to see you upload, I was a bit concerned as I've not seen anything uploaded for about a month, I hope you're keeping well :)
Loved this! Would absolutely go on a tour with Ollie. ❤
