The forgotten Elrington Colliery railway

- This video follows the railway from Elrington Colliery to Hebburn No.2 Colliery and Weston. It also features remnants of mining activity at Hebburn No.2 Colliery. It also shows glimpses of the railway sidings at the former site of Hebburn No.1 Colliery and Weston.
A nice little video
About 5 years ago, the Rail Motor Society of Paterson ran their CPH-class *Tin Hare* rail motors along the track past the old Weston station. The event was a fundraiser for Kurri Kurri Public School. I was on board that trip, it went up the line from where it turned off the Great Northern Line at East Greta Junction, past the site of the old Weston Station(which was also meant to serve Kurri Kurri) and continued to Neath, where we stopped for morning tea on the way up and for lunch at the Neath Hotel on the return leg. The "Tin Hare" rail motors only went as far as Bellbird.

@@neilforbes416 this is sort of a trip if you did this back in the 1980's or 90's and if you didnt have a video camera you be thinking i wish i had a video camera to video this it was the same with the Olympic torch relay that reminds me i should start my new videos very soon
