Guys just did this to my cold steel ad10 and this is by Faaaaaaar the way to do it. The few other ways that I have seen to fix this problem requires modification... With the very good potential to doing it too much and now the knife is too soft and also not work correctly.... Normal finger operation to unlock these locks require you to push the lockbar only a certain amount until the lock disengages and drops... Doing it the way described in this man's video you are basically going beyond that point of over disengagement resulting in just slightly over bending the spring ... basically you are weakening the spring in a much more controlled manner than other methods... thanks alot my bro...I did this to mine and I absolutely love the buttery smooth glide I have

I took the spring out put it in a vice and gave it a little squeeze and put it back in the knife and voila it works great!

Thanks for this trick, I tried it out and it worked like a champ. As far as the chain and lag screws go, I'm guessing they are going to be parts for some brutal piece of medieval flail weaponry. lol Cheers, buddy.

I can't tell you how many times I have annoyed the wife, or kids (adults) with the "thwacking" of my XL Voyager blade as I flick it out of the handle. The simple pleasures in life.

Have you ever known a spring to break. That's been something it have always been concern about even though they can hold hundreds of pounds.

Thank you very much, Johnny. Amazing, I received my Recon 1 recently and was very concerned about the toughness of the Tri-Ad. I was embarrassed to ask you for not disturbing. So some knives need more rolling than others, right?
