I'll be honest, like any program there is a learning curve. Its buggy, but they are making upgrades. I'm definitely going to keep using this and get better, so I'll check in again when I get a little better 😂
Everything you were doing to line up the beat grids were they should be was my frustrations as well when i was messing with it. the changing views and beat grids were just frustrating me. Need to improve this
You are totally right, the potential is what hooked me. The best news is that they are always working on it! Updates regularly still, and I see more and more people using it.
Checkout my mashup! Ingredients 3 pounds red potatoes - peeled if desired (see note) 4 tablespoons butter 8 ounces sour cream ½ cup whole milk 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1-2 teaspoons garlic powder - to taste 1-2 teaspoons salt - to taste ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper - or 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper Instructions Cook the potatoes. In a large bowl combine hot (drained) potatoes, butter, milk, sour cream, garlic, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Use a potato masher OR use your hand mixer (my favorite method!) to mix your potatoes just until all ingredients are combined - your potatoes should still have a few lumps, do not over-mix! Hi Kevin, I do believe this baby will fly. Yes it has bugs, but what software doesn't? I've reached out to the Support guys a lot, and they've always responded promptly. Siebrand and his team are very responsive, and like you have mentioned they push updates out all the time. Moving forward, this will be a game changer, mark my words! 😉
I totally agree I actually zoomed with Siebrand and Fleur yesterday! Unfortunately it got cut short but they are all over this and I am super impressed with how hard they work 💪
You can do $29/mo if you prefer subscription, but I highly recommend the lifetime subscriptions, but for the DAW you are going to be spending at least $149, $199 with stems
@@djhikevin looks like a great Program, I’ve been using audacity with a plugin that allows you to isolate the vocals or instruments. But this look much easier to work with!! Thank you for the Info!! Do you ever make it up to the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area??
@@MrDJMikieMike My pleasure Mike! We used to be up there a lot more, but we go down into Jersey more now. I make trips up to CT tho, gotta roll thru Scranton to change from 81/84 hahah. Is that home for you??
Glad you found a DAW you like Big Kev! Being able to edit your tracks the way you want them to be changes everything, it absolutely has transformed my dance floor for the better! This looks fun for mixes and transitions for sure! 🙌🏼
Potential is high but it is not intuitive and the learning curve seems very high - operations that should be natural to anyone that is used to using DAW's just aren't. As you said its very buggy. At the moment i cannot automate any parameters - reached out to them and still waiting. Certainly needs work.
Ya they feel like they’re in Alpha phase at best. Daily updates bode well but it really feels like it’s missing so much still, like the over simplification is holding it back. Love the comment, thanks for your informed perspective 🙏🏼
This was 2 months ago so I hope you have figured out that you were not using the software properly AT ALL The problems you were experiencing were you and you not using the software correctly. I am not trying to put you down because everyone doesn't know how to use something when they first start using it. Just don't showcase the software improperly. Your viewers are going to see you struggling to do something and getting upset because you don't understand why things are moving and not doing what you want to happen, and they are going to get a view of this software that is not correct. This software is actually a beast and while it can be a little intimidating at first, it only takes about 3 weeks of sitting down and using it everyday and suddenly a light will switch on in your head and you will get it. Once that happens you will find yourself making huge strides every day in your abilities. You also need your own copy of Mixed in Key to take full advantage of what this baby can do with its library.
Thanks man, appreciate the comment! I definitely wasn't using it right, but wanted to document my "first glance" and have used it a ton since this and thoroughly enjoy it.

so glad someone else gets it... it definitely comes easier over time but I thought I was just DUMB
DJ.studio has taken away the intimidation factor for me and so far I really like it!
SAME!!! I actually started just ripping the stems from there and using those a bit too just as acapellas, its got a TON of potential.
That program has a lot of potential but still needs alot of work.

Oh man, I just found your channel. I like the content - I'm about to bing-watch 😬
Awesome! Thank you and welcome,, let me know if you want more of something 💪

Will it work with Tidal too?
Not currently, it is linked to beatport and beatsource so maybe in the future!
@ yea Tidal would be dope! That would put this software in a whole other category than Serato studio and Ableton completely!!

It needs to be more manual it tries to take over too much

So basically this is what fake social media DJs do, create a pre made computer program mix and then pretend they're mixing on stage... got it.
Exactly. Creating the mix is definitely a skill and they probably do it at a high level, but they pretend to perform it.
Whatever name you choose for your followers it should be HiSomething… HiSquad… HiCrowd… HiGuys… idk. Spitballing here.
Thanks for the video mate!
Appreciate you B! It’s the Hi Gang for now I guess 😂
