Mega Man 4 is absolutely fantastic. It's hard to choose the best, but easily is on par with 2 and 3... Ps: I don't consider 7 and above, for me, they have another essence...

By being a game that tries to be lengthier and actually succeed (shots at MM3)? By being the first game to have collectibles to give you more powers to use? By introducing the game's first proper weapons menu? By being the game that finally perfects Mega Man's moveset and control? The game with best Wily castle bossfights in NES era? Now I don't think this game is perfect by any means, the charge could need bit improving and the weapons aren't too exciting plus it could've used a bit more unique gimmicks but I rate this game high on the Mega Man scale. The gameplay and music and story, even if very simple, to be very entertaining and it definitely doesn't fail to shine in NES era. If anything 3 is more of a no-show than 4 or 5

Anwar Suran I thinks he’s just saying in his opinion, it’s the best track. The metal version makes it even better. Sounds like a mix of Iron Maiden and Iced Earth with a touch of Symphony X to me on that track...oh an a bit of megadeth also

The wily final fight theme for this particular mega man game is a great tune, but you make it sound wicked! I enjoy all of the work you’ve done for the mega man franchise in terms of remix. ❤
What can I say about this besides "freaking awesome"? Actually a few things, but I'd have to go into depth to do so. So let's do just that! Intro: Surprisingly peaceful on guitar in the first part, easier to listen to than the 8-bit version actually. And the second part is naturally energetic, translates very well to a guitar and drum setting. Bringing it in with the title which sounds like it was made for a metal style, pulled it off great here. Stage Select: Short but sweet, the guitar pulls the energy to the forefront. And the iconic stage start theme has all the charm of the original. Toad Man: I initially thought a funk remix would suit this piece best, but your style sounds great here, especially with the power chords in the latter half of the song. Boss Battle: Another song that seems to translate so well to metal, a driving piece with lots of energy. The pounding bass line coupled with the percussion do a great job conveying the tension in each fight. Got Weapon: Another short and sweet piece, guitar suits it well. Password: I love that you did this piece, it's another short one but very strong for its length. Bright Man: Kudos on keeping the 8-bit intro with the drums backing it. The percussion really works well for this piece, and the electric guitar really shines (neither pun was intended) in this theme. Pharaoh Man: Nice buildup in the intro, a consistent bass line and faithful guitar to boot, a great rendition of Pharaoh Man's theme. I also love that you included the "special item" theme. Ring Man: Fast-paced, energetic, really like the intense drum line when the song starts "properly". The last part of the song is a nice changeup moving into a slightly slower tune, always got Fire Man flashbacks when I heard it. Dust Man: The distortion in the beginning is *insane,* and very appropriate for a heated furnace level. I always liked this stage theme but rarely found anything that I felt did it justice; the 8-bit instruments in the original, while okay, seemed to detract a bit from it. You did a great job here. Skull Man: If there were any song from Mega Man 4 that sounded like it was made SPECIFICALLY to be covered in a metal style, it would be this one in my opinion. Heavy bass and rocking drums, coupled with the awesome guitar staying faithful to the original, make this a great piece. Dive Man: Another of my favorites done justice with guitar and drums. Love the bass line driving the piece along, and the switchups between drum patterns. Drill Man: Intro builds up well with the guitar and drums, leading to a strong theme with heavy percussion and plenty of energy. Love the bass keeping some of the notes from the original intact. Dr. Cossack 1-2: From the first notes of the Citadel map theme you can feel the ostentatious yet ominous vibe of the castle. Strong drums leading to a dramatic drum roll and cymbals at the end, leading into the theme proper. The first stage theme has a powerful bass and percussion, brilliantly supporting the guitar and doing a great job portraying the dangerous trek through Dr. Cossack's citadel. Dr. Cossack 3-4: One of my favorite Mega Man themes ever, and done splendidly here. I don't speak Russian unfortunately, though I get a feeling we're better off _not_ knowing what Mega and Cossack are saying to each other. Also, I couldn't help but laugh that you actually included "Kalinka" at the end of this. Dr. Wily 1-2: Another strong intro to the Wily stages, leading to a smooth lead-in for Wily's first theme. The percussion picks up nicely as the song shifts into the second portion, all in all a fitting rendition of the introduction to Wily's new castle. Dr. Wily 3-4: Starting strong right out of the gate, a pulsing, rocking theme that fits well with the mood of the stages. The final battle is drawing near...and the final battle theme is, as always, impressively done. It greatly captures the feel of a climactic struggle between good and evil. Ending: From the triumphant finale to the slow, wistful ending theme, the guitar just seems right. Following up with a great remix of the Mega Man 2 theme, a spectacular end to a great soundtrack. Overall, I love Mega Man 4 and its music, and you've definitely done it justice here. Fantastic job.

Yes!!! Mega Man 4 is my favorite in the series. It is the most different in all the best ways. A Russian villain was added and then it turned out he was being blackmailed by Wily, cutscenes were added, the charge, three new support items appeared and oh lord the AWESOME OST

Sure, he can definitely fight, but he wasn't MADE for fighting.

mega man 4 is really when the series became just more dark.. cossack’s daughter was kidnapped, he’s being blackmailed the whole time, there’s a robot graveyard, no friendly firing with proto man. cossack and wiley stage bosses are now more diabolical and complex and you have to fight them in pitch black background. the music took a different tone as well..

I think just at impressive as your guitar abilities is your ability to beat these games deathless. I'm a pretty good 8 bit Megaman player but even I slip up and usually die a couple times each playthrough.
I saw a countdown of top 50 8 bit megaman songs, and pharaoh man was the only song from this entire game! They said it was the diamond in the rough and basically the rest of the game is trash. This was a travesty. Skull and Ring man are two songs forever burned into my memory as the catchiest hooks in all of megaman, save for maybe snake man and gemini man. So glad you decided to pay homage to one of the best games from my childhood, for both its gameplay and soundtrack

I think just at impressive as your guitar abilities is your ability to beat these games deathless. I'm a pretty good 8 bit Megaman player but even I slip up and usually die a couple times each playthrough.
Megaman 4 has some of the best title screen music.

I saw a countdown of top 50 8 bit megaman songs, and pharaoh man was the only song from this entire game! They said it was the diamond in the rough and basically the rest of the game is trash. This was a travesty. Skull and Ring man are two songs forever burned into my memory as the catchiest hooks in all of megaman, save for maybe snake man and gemini man. So glad you decided to pay homage to one of the best games from my childhood, for both its gameplay and soundtrack
