- Goodyear Wrangler SR-A LT265/70R17 E load rating 10 Ply. Rotated and balanced by Goodyear Tire Store every 5-6,000 miles. They never once said they were the wrong tire for the truck until the defect appeared.
I just recently noticed this same crack on both my rear tires
Mine only lasted 500 miles and the sidewall came apart
It seems to me that these tires may look nice, but I'm having second thoughts about putting these on my Chevy S10, which is a light truck. I've heard good things about the Firestone Destination LE2 tires and I'm also considering the Cooper Discoverer H/T tires. One thing I have learned about tires is to never cheap out on them. Those are the only thing that's between you and the road when you're driving.
+GrnArrow092 I went back to Michelin (best tire). They are doing fine and plan on staying with Michelin. Goodyear does not want our business.
Just had to take my 2017 Durango back to WALMART - 285x65x18 tires less than 20,000 miles, sidewalls split the same way, prorated my tires I had to pay 220 dollars to get mine replaced, said it wasn't road hazzard, mine was suppose to be top of line also, now what do we do file a class action suite against Goodyear
My wrangler AT have really weak sidewalls. The slightest touch and the rubber peels off. Can hardly handle parking by the curb, let alone off road. Disappointing. BFG next time.
2 out 4 of my tires did the same on my f150. My splits go from about 1/3 and 3/4 around the tire wall though. Bummed out. Next tire will be a bfg all terrain. Had good luck with them on my jeep.
+Bill w I replaced these tires with Michelin and love them. No issues at all.
Happened to my 150 also, any safety issue on this?
i think goodyear has gone down hill, i have goodyears on my jeep, same make and model that came on it when new, i had a sidewall failure, i was going to just replace the one but after seeing how thin the sidewall is i dont even dare run them.
