I'm wondering if you may be related to David Proulx, my Jr. High biology teacher in Baldwinsville? It would have been early 1970s. I was in the stamp collecting club back then and that was his thing. A very memorable teacher.
That's a cool idea! I could see using 4 or 5 of those metal caps and short t-posts with a really long flat rock to make a bench. You have some very nice rocks for landscaping. Looks almost like slate, but is probably highly foliated schist. Have you ever tried panning for gold there? Be careful not to breathe that dust while you're drilling. You do not want to get silicosis. One thing that would keep down dust and also make your bit last longer would be to run your hose on the spot you're drilling. Most drills and other cutting machines for lapidary use water as a lubricant, sometimes mineral oil.
I’m not sure why one would want a rock on a pole and would love to learn what it is if there is a purpose. I could be wrong about this, but I think the point is actually to demonstrate that the t-post topper piece will support whatever object one would like to mount on a pole, up to a large 28 pound rock, lol.
It would be nice to know what a Tapcon is. Seems like a concrete anchor. Always show us a picture of what they look like. I had to look it up. Looks like a concrete anchor. But not sure what you used exactly. Great idea! This is just what I need to make for a cat-proof penthouse bird bath!
Whoa, did you pronounce "creek" as "crick" in "my crick" and "lots of rocks in this crick" ? I never expected to hear that from the New York side of the country. Is it common there? What are you going to rest on your T-post rock topper?
They make sprinklers for tee posts using the same attachment method as your metal model. Capped tube and a set screw. Still prefer the hard to find hat channel posts with actual hooks to hang the fencing.
I bought your Whizbang books several years ago. You have such great ideas and I love this one.
I loved the "On second thought...."
Upstate NY FTW. Happy to stumble upon you. I am about 30 mins from you

New HK book please. Love the new idea. I can't wait for the next video! 😃🌱🐢
HK what other items have you used for t-post toppers? They make some expensive plastic ones but I'm looking for a cheap/free option.
i have your book. I need to re-read it. Thanks for the idea
Great thinking friend, I recently subscribed to this channel for the insight and ideas you produce. Thank you sir.😊

Looking forward to it
If you put those metal t-post caps on your website, I'd buy a couple. :o)
Tap Cons for the win!
Excellent. I believe I could mount a bluebird house on a stone like that. Good luck to the snake who wants to climb up and over that.

Tapcon plus silicone. :)
It’s a workable idea, but why would you want a rock on a t-post?
