However, using this law only adds a new problem: If everything has a cause, then what was the cause of god? The answer, that he was always there, makes no sense to the third law. Quantum mechanics is challeging the idea that everything needs a cause. Fact is, that we don't know why we are here, why anything is here. There are theories, and one of them is a creator - always leaving the question open: who or what created the creator? I am not affraid of not knowing, to not have a definite answer. Claiming to have a definite answer, would be highly arrogant. Perhaps there is a creator, perhaps not. Perhaps everything is an accident, perhaps not. Not-knowing brings out the quest of science, the quest of proof. The Quran is a badly written book, just like every religious book. Any interpretation is open to debate, and anyone who interpretes it says he is right and everyone else is wrong. Therefore, so called holy books have no proof value to me. And to say that book was the first, for example, that the moon reflected light, is simply not true. I am happy that you have the certainty you seek in life. I do not wish to take it away from you. Regarding the question to ask an atheist. - "If you bring a machine, who no one in the world has seen before and if you ask who will be able to tell the mechanism of that machinery." My answer would be if there is no one in the world who has seen the machinery before then isn't it obvious that currently there is no one currently in the world who can explain the machinery. If you want to know the machinery then you need to do research on it and study on it. That's how babies learn and that's how humanity has progressed. There are many such structures from ancient civilizations whose working was found out through research. Ex. Indus Valley Civilization's wonderful drainage system. Similarly there are many natural phenomenon like earthquakes and tsunami's and an atheist or a rationale thinker will either research on it or will accept the knowledge which has been scientifically researched.

Your argument would stand if the doctor was argueing about the chances of this universe coming to be the way it is, whereas in this video, he is giving you an approximation of the chances that the "scientific proofs" are WRITTEN in a book, 1400 years ago. (before they have actually been scientifically tested and proven or theorized) therefore telling you that It simply is not a lucky guess. What do you have to say about that? How could some of the mechanics of the world we live in have been written in a book 1400 years ago? A debate could be that it has been newly added post-discovery of the facts, but we have proof (with very very old pages/ manuscripts of the quran that have been authentified to be as old as they are claimed to be) that proves to us that the quran we read today is the EXACT same that has been written 1400 years ago and is authentic to it's time, therefore proving to us that such knowledge back then could have only been given to us only by our creator, Allah SWT.

The light of the moon is reflected light was discovered around the late 6th and early 7th century BCE. I'm not sure how close this date is to the Quran being revealed, I assume it is not too far apart, but it is not as recent as Dr. Zakir Naik claimed. Hi, assuming that it's true how early it was discovered only with modern science we were able to confirm it, before that it was a theory. And i'm pretty sure whoever came up with it also had other theories that were lately ended up to be false, and the Quran does not mention them or it would've been a clear copy and paste. For the record if you're talking about Anaxagoras he also thought that the earth is flat and floats supported by 'strong' air under it and disturbances in this air sometimes causes earthquakes, which is clearly false and contradicting the quran it self.

For example with the moon reflecting light we'd expect you to be able to show evidence that _most_ early Muslims knew this idea before science discovered it, just by reading the Quran. Instead what we'll see (if you respond at all) is you cannot find this evidence. That's important, because it shows modern Muslims are relying on postdiction, which is a technique people use to fool other people. Postdiction involves vague text that has no meaning on its own (ie early Muslims didn't clearly know the ideas that modern Muslims say are described by the Quran), and later an event or discovery happens, and _only after that time_ do modern people interpret the text as having predicted that from the beginning. The most common example of postdiction (outside Islam) is astrology. So then if we care about truth and we go back to read those verses, we realize they definitely do not clearly describe those ideas in a way that actually communicates information. Because of that, it isn't honest to claim the Quran describes these concepts before they were known. (I personally haven't seen the evidence of the moon's light being reflected being known as early as Sameer claims -- if he has evidence then I'd certainly like to see it! -- but even if this idea wasn't known when the Quran was written it doesn't matter, because the Quran didn't clearly describe that concept to the early Muslims reading it. Quran does NOT say that moonlight is reflected light. "Noor" or "Munir" only means light/shine/radiance not derived/borrowed/reflected light. Kindly see for yourself in any dictionary. The earlier translations such as Pickthall's nowhere mention that moonlight is a reflection. Only the Sahih International translation is nowadays adding the word "derived light" to forcefully reconcile the Quran with science. Kindly go to quran.com to check this as translations from different authors are available there.

The problem lies in written word and how just about every word means something slightly different between any two people. Example: toaster. Most think of an object with places to cook bread, but specifics are varied. # of slots? Dial or digital? Slot thickness? Outer color? Unless you know exactly what the author was thinking of, there will be differences. Add thousand(s) of years of trying to pass down what the words mean to all adherents, and we've got billions of individual interpretations.

Believing also means not knowing. Instead of believing you could't say I don't know. When you say you believe, you refuse to learn and accept new thing, while when you say I don't know, you are basically open for any experience. No other living creature worships anything. It is only that our own logic and mind turned against us, so we started to believe instead of live. Only a uncertain and unconscious mind can think of such things as god. Those minds start to believe in thing because they are losing the joy or are not getting the point of living. They are not getting the point that every second is a unique moment of life that will never repeat it self, they are not getting the point that this paradise of life can be enjoyed only with a concious mind.

Quantum mechanics is challeging the idea that everything needs a cause.
Fact is, that we don't know why we are here, why anything is here. There are theories, and one of them is a creator - always leaving the question open: who or what created the creator?
I am not affraid of not knowing, to not have a definite answer. Claiming to have a definite answer, would be highly arrogant. Perhaps there is a creator, perhaps not. Perhaps everything is an accident, perhaps not. Not-knowing brings out the quest of science, the quest of proof.
The Quran is a badly written book, just like every religious book. Any interpretation is open to debate, and anyone who interpretes it says he is right and everyone else is wrong. Therefore, so called holy books have no proof value to me. And to say that book was the first, for example, that the moon reflected light, is simply not true.
I am happy that you have the certainty you seek in life. I do not wish to take it away from you. For me, I like facts and the curiousity that comes from not knowing where there are no facts yet.

I get a kick out of it when fools give probabilities when they have a sample of exactly one to work with. No mathematician would do that. We have knowledge of only one universe, and when something has already happened, the probability is 1 in 1 anyway. If we could look at a sample of many universes, then we could know the probability of it being the way it is. For all we know, this is the only possible setup there is in the multiverse, or maybe more than half of universes are just like our own.
Your argument would stand if the doctor was argueing about the chances of this universe coming to be the way it is, whereas in this video, he is giving you an approximation of the chances that the "scientific proofs" are WRITTEN in a book, 1400 years ago. (before they have actually been scientifically tested and proven or theorized) therefore telling you that It simply is not a lucky guess. What do you have to say about that? How could some of the mechanics of the world we live in have been written in a book 1400 years ago? A debate could be that it has been newly added post-discovery of the facts, but we have proof (with very very old pages/ manuscripts of the quran that have been authentified to be as old as they are claimed to be) that proves to us that the quran we read today is the EXACT same that has been written 1400 years ago and is authentic to it's time, therefore proving to us that such knowledge back then could have only been given to us only by our creator, Allah SWT.

I'm not sure how close this date is to the Quran being revealed, I assume it is not too far apart, but it is not as recent as Dr. Zakir Naik claimed. I would like to know better estimations to get this point clear.

assuming that it's true how early it was discovered only with modern science we were able to confirm it, before that it was a theory. And i'm pretty sure whoever came up with it also had other theories that were lately ended up to be false, and the Quran does not mention them or it would've been a clear copy and paste. For the record if you're talking about Anaxagoras he also thought that the earth is flat and floats supported by 'strong' air under it and disturbances in this air sometimes causes earthquakes, which is clearly false and contradicting the quran it self.

For example with the moon reflecting light we'd expect you to be able to show evidence that _most_ early Muslims knew this idea before science discovered it, just by reading the Quran. Instead what we'll see (if you respond at all) is you cannot find this evidence.
That's important, because it shows modern Muslims are relying on postdiction, which is a technique people use to fool other people. Postdiction involves vague text that has no meaning on its own (ie early Muslims didn't clearly know the ideas that modern Muslims say are described by the Quran), and later an event or discovery happens, and _only after that time_ do modern people interpret the text as having predicted that from the beginning. The most common example of postdiction (outside Islam) is astrology.
So then if we care about truth and we go back to read those verses, we realize they definitely do not clearly describe those ideas in a way that actually communicates information. Because of that, it isn't honest to claim the Quran describes these concepts before they were known.
(I personally haven't seen the evidence of the moon's light being reflected being known as early as Sameer claims -- if he has evidence then I'd certainly like to see it! -- but even if this idea wasn't known when the Quran was written it doesn't matter, because the Quran didn't clearly describe that concept to the early Muslims reading it. If it did, then most early Muslims would've had this belief and it would've been rather striking since the idea wasn't known at that time! Instead, nothing.)

That's pretty far fetched. The logical and likely explanation is simply that the Quran copied/assimilated scientific knowledge that was already known at the time. It also explains why some of it's science is wrong (sun setting in a muddy puddle), outdated (eg embryology) or missing critical information (eg not mentioning micro-organisms like bacteria or fungi).

Quran does NOT say that moonlight is reflected light. "Noor" or "Munir" only means light/shine/radiance not derived/borrowed/reflected light. Kindly see for yourself in any dictionary. The earlier translations such as Pickthall's nowhere mention that moonlight is a reflection. Only the Sahih International translation is nowadays adding the word "derived light" to forcefully reconcile the Quran with science. Kindly go to quran.com to check this as translations from different authors are available there.

@@SMShah-nc6rv All what you have written shows confirmation bias and wishful interpretation. The sun and the moon LOOK/APPEAR different, and have different properties (sunlight is accompanied by heat but not moonlight in comparison) that is why different words have been used to describe them.
If Allah swt created the whole world, why could they not put a single extra word while revealing the verse which specifically meant "reflected" in the Arabic language (which is "Aineikas")? It is people like you and Zakir Naik who are "forcefully inserting" words which are not there.
Translators MUST NOT change the translations of the verses because that would be DISHONESTY. None of the Arabic words in the verse means reflected so the translation must not mention it otherwise that would be a CLEAR LIE.
Stars are luminous too but the light they emit is their own.
The verse which "seems" like it is describing Big Bang is actually repeating mythologies from Bible and previous cultures and hence is not the first one to describe creation in such a way before the scientific era👇
