It was a pleasure meeting you ( the random guy named Jason). Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me. You showed me how long it was taking to upload this. ❤
Ricky I LOVE how you ended this video! It was by far the greatest Mic Drop moment I've ever seen. And if it's any consolation to you and M.O.N., as the years go by the negativity of the Restriction of Human Rights memory will begin to fade and feel less loud as the memory of your endurance of meeting K. will only feel STRONGER and MORE AWESOME :)
It was great seeing you at the Con. Congrats on meeting Keanu. I feel you on the staff being unprepared and overzealous in how they handled the people. I got told I couldn’t sit on a bench outside the convention for because they didn’t want me sneaking into the line. I was taken back by that when I explained I was just sitting and had no intention of meeting him. I’m glad you had a cool experience, and hope to see you at future shows.
LOL I remember seeing you in line a few times!! I was the one first in line with my family! So cool to see you have a YT channel! I was just looking up for a vlog through Terrificon 24 and came across this, super cool. My mom was standing and walking around since 10:30 the night before. 14 hours of being in a line!! She was a trooper for sure
@@terrificon_CT It was a crazy story you told to the line that day! And it’s one I don’t want to get wrong with misrememberings; would you want to meet up in a livestream maybe and tell the story to the fans? Or if you just want to write an abridged version here or just pm it to me I’d be happy to share it as a compendium to this video
This was my first time waiting for hours in line for a celebrity. It was definitely worth it to meet him but I cannot thank you enough for making this video to sum up how awful the experience was before. You could not have said it better and I feel every word you are saying...BUT WE MADE IT
Wow, that’s right you got to meet Keanu Reeves that’s amazing. Congrats thanks for sharing your story. He definitely seems like a very private person. Lucky 100 people.
As a Navy veteran, I can say that a skill I developed was the ability to stand for hours at a time. That said, it still absolutely sucks to do so. I applaud your commitment, I probably would have stuck it out with you, as well, had I been there. Thank you for telling the story and sharing the experience. Super sick that you got to meet him!
I Hope the guy who got carried off is ok. Sorry about the bad experience but glad you got to meet a really cool person. Internet people can suck some times
So, what I got from this video is that people knew they were not supposed to show up until 8 am, chose to disregard that and show up at 5, and catch some flack from hotel staff. Hmmmmmmm. Not to mention you got what you wanted, and met the generous Mr Reeves who gave his time to squeeze this appearance into his schedule. It also often confuses me when people throw thoughts and opinions around as if they were facts. 500 people to make this happen? Maybe a dozen and about 1 day and a half. I also believe that the physical photo for $20 wasn't mandatory and that the photo could be downloaded, making the entire experience a freebie except for a little effort on the fans part. I am an occasional vendor and know Mitch. He actually cares about the fans. Some things are out of his control and sometimes rules need to be spoken firmly. The event got done.
I would have totally been down to get up early to meet Reeves. Crazy that you weren’t allow to sit on the floor. I’ve not been to a convention where we couldn’t sit. Just being able to do that would have probably changed the waiting experience but at least you got to meet the man! What a weekend to go out for your last Hoorah and it’s only day 1.
I stood in line on a concrete floor for 6 hours a few weeks ago so my friend could meet Ray Park and had a very similar experience. Convention wasn’t prepared for the number of people and everything was completely disorganized. The only thing that made it bearable was getting my friend to meet an idol of hers. There are bound to be… hiccups when something like that happens last minute. I hope they can learn from it for next time! Glad you made it out alive, soldier.
Ricky, EXTREMELY GLAD you got to meet Keanu Reeves!! So cool!! If you tell your grandkids this tales they'll say: Gramy who Keanu Reeves, He's not on any of my A-i VIDS!!!
Hopefully they now know how to do it better after this year. But Mitch and his wife are amazing people..but yea I had same thought a list actor line will start real early. Got down there at 4am sat by other side by garage for a bit to keep security happy. Saw you walk by a few times doing the counting.
We did it man. I’m proud of us, and we are bonded in pain, and the pleasure of meeting a sweetheart. Great memories made my friend.

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing what is going to be a fond memory years down the road. Even though there was a lot of pain, this was a priceless event.

500 people organize it. Nope. It was me. Garney. Keanu. My Mohegan Sun rep. Keanu’s security person.

Only Ricki can make a story like that turn into an interesting video!! Good job!
Like you said, I hope this is a learning experience for terrific con and the hotel to treat other human beings better

He did a play in Winnipeg in the 90s think it was a popular play. People got autographs and never bothered him. A great Canadian actor.

Shortest line was Joan Jett autographed session years ago and didn’t charge for autographs in 1989.
