    Another feature the Ecoflows have that Anker's do not is called Backup Reserve. You can tell the Ecoflows not to draw from AC until it gets down to a certain percentage. So you can use your battery, but once it gets to the limit you set it will draw from grid. With the Anker, if it is plugged into a powered AC outlet it will start drawing.

    For small power stations, I like the Bluetti EB3A ($199 on Amazon). What sets it apart from both the Anker and the River 3 is the 600 watt (1200 watt surge) inverter! And with Eco Boost, the EB3A is the only one of these small power stations that can brew a cup of coffee. It was actually the first small power station on the market to have the UPS function and it also has a pretty good bluetooth app. I did get the Anker 300DC though, which i really like:)

      It's very bad idea for small generator to have output max 1200w... It's killing battery and will last only for 10 -15 minutes of work .. why do you need it??? To make coffee and recharge it again? 😂
      Anker have 600w and this is absolutely enough 👍 LOVE IT ❤

      @frp1276 Місяць тому

      @@leokolev no, Anker has 300w and momentary surge above that. It should be 600w continuous on the Anker. That would only be a 2C discharge. No problem

    • @johntate5284
      @johntate5284 Місяць тому

      @@leokolev The point is, it can, and for less than $200. And since it has LiFePO4 batteries, it can do it 2500 plus times. The inverter would probably die before the battery. But realistically, being able to start a small tool or appliance that may briefly have a surge to 1200 watts but runs between 300 to 500 watts is something the Bluetti does and none of the others reviewed do.

I have my 3rd power bank on the way (Anker C200) and I just got my first one a couple of months ago. River 2 had PD USB-C charge input, it sucks River 3 does not, so i would rather get the old ecoflow product for this very reason, or try the anker. charging from powerbank and converting it into AC is so useful, i charged my el scooter this way while i was outside this summer

      you are correct. the river 2 had 60w input.

      @@wwjoshdew river 2 had 60w input, max and pro rivers had 100, i just so happen to have a fast charger powerbank that outputted 100watt, so it was perfect for giving my el scooter a quick boost, and the purse was around the scooter anyway so i didnt feel the weight

    ecoflow river 2 have the USB c in and out what you talk.
    i dont need it
    so river 3 is the real deal, pure sin wave , great UPS that works great.
    overall the much better build quality and features.
    if you need USB c PD dc in take a trigger and solder a XT60 on it = job done if you not can life without that.
    to extend battery i use a Litime 50 Ah LifePo4 = 640 Wh + 240 wh from the river = 900 Wh what works great for me.
    river 3 160$
    litime 50 ah 110$
    = 270$

    Really helpful thank you. Is it possible to insert a cigarette lighter adapter into the River 3 port to create an extra usb c port?

    Im not sure why you do existed about fadt charging... Extra Fast charging is killing battery .. why do you need it especially for battery so small ..

    Please remember these are lfp battery’s and they need to be full charged at least once a week and leaving them at 100% is good for them

      This is not correct information. The manufacturer gives a different recommendation in the instructions.

    I have the EcoFlow River 2 and it has USB C input and output. It's crazy how the 3 doesn't.

      I also saw a lot of comments the river 3 xboost is broken too. Saw a lot of people posting online about the unit shutting off between 300w and 600w when the purpose of xboost is to fake it up to 600w. From the comments I saw, customer support said it would be fixed at some point with firmware. Given this “we will fix it later” and the lack of usb-c input, I’m leaning towards the river 2, for the same price, if I do decide to buy. Earlier this year I was planning to pick up a river 2 during Black Friday, but given what I saw about the river 3, it has turned me off on the brand.

      It would detect if it’s car charging or solar charing based on the voltage coming in as the car charing would be either 12v or 24v whereas the solar charging would be varying between 11v and 18v
