I am an autism mom (3yrs old) and older son (5yrs) with a speech delay and a 2yr old. It is truly hard to be their mom but all I can do is put my best foot forward everyday and make them the center of my decisions. I love your autism blogs because they give me ideas and things to try. My niece is severe on the Spectrum and non verbal with hypermobility she is 6 next month. She is an amazing child and I love her dearly ❤
Alot of milstones are alot slower pace with my niece, with her Autism being severe and non-verbal, but that's OK, we tailor everything to the stage she is at and have the hope she will get their with our and others support. ❤

Anna's doing GREAT!!! And getting so tall. Vaughn you and Anthony are doing so very well and I am so very happy and proud of you guys. I'm a Nana and nothing brings us more joy than spending time with our grandchildren. Enjoy you alls vacation because you have organized everything for everyone and they're all going to be fine. This kinda stuff makes me so happy and makes my day!!

Love the patience you demonstrate. I am sure things aren't always easy but your willingness to adjust for Anne's needs is beautiful. However, I am not surprised either! Love to see it!

So amazed at how Anne is progressing. You and Anthony definitely need some adult time. Your mom will do a great job and you will be able to feel confident.
I really admire and applaud you for stepping forward so to speak and choosing to lead in this instead of being led. Your baby girl is still very young and it would have been easy for you to have decided to stay in the background and just silently look for help. I gotta say I really love the position that you took on this because some special need moms choose to either deny the issue or hide it for whatever their reason for doing so, even if it’s just for privacy issues...and they have that right, I don’t judge. I just love the decision you made and the road you chose...says a lot about you...and you’re doing what you’re doing seemingly with such grace and ease even though I know it’s hard. Being a mom is hard let alone adapting to a child’s special needs ON TOP OF being a first time parent....keep doing what cha doin mama we watching, paying attention, and taking notes. Low key a lot of this is great advice and tips for children who aren’t even on the spectrum😊❤️
Proud Autism Mom here as well. Thank you so much for this video. You have given me great ideas for my daughter who is 5 and just started back going to preschool in person and having OT and Speech. Some never think that the small things such as riding a bus 🚌 by themselves 15 minutes away is so big to them and me. I truly thank you for these videos. Also enjoy your break and glad she’s in great hands.Be blessed and safe 🥰🥰.

I love how organized, involved, and forward thinking you are when it comes to Anne's care, Ms. Vaughn! I feel so many can learn a lot from you. I also loved how you did a walk through training with your mom in preparation for your trip. I have an idea, maybe you can have your mom do a dry run of staying with Anne in the house by herself for one night so if any questions arise you guys can address it before you leave on your trip...just a suggestion.
Anne will have a blast with grandma ! ❤️ Heck she might even not wanna be without her after , my son spent a week with “gran-gran” now he ask everyday for her 😂

Awesome, outstanding and amen to all of this video. You are an amazing Mom period. I have 2 daughers , now grown. My youngest is on the spectrum. Very classic autistic qualities as a child but late middle school to now presents more like Asperger's. She talked and walked later than typically expected. But when she mastered anything she soared. I know your daughter will do so too. I was a fierce advocate as she was only 1 of 2 black little girls i've encountered on the spectrum in our area - Raleigh-Durham, NC. I said all of this to say: I wish i knew the things you discuss in your videos. Way to go Ms. Vaughn. Much love and continued blessings and growth for you, little sweet Anne and your family. xoxo

I definitely feel. I have had horrible experience with daycares. I’m a full time stay at home. She’s not ready for school. She’s 5. My life is not what I expected. Trying to balance it all.
Parents have felt as you have spoken. I hear good in what you said. I’m a stay home, good. You are giving her the school she needs for now. I’m try to balance. ...good...you are working on what you know today. When things get hard for you said what you said this was. My life is not what I expected...It’s Better! ( Even when you can’t see or feel it) It’s Better.
Maybe try homeschooling. There’s a mom who homeschools Her Kids with special meds & another one . The Landing Crew & 8 panssgers . I d” look at currclium . Try 4H they re Great with ASD kids . Check out Reglious & Secular

Thank God for Grandmoms! Congrats, I can relate...I was always a wreck leaving my children to go on vacation, even if it was one night...but it is a must! We can't pour from an empty cup🤗 I pray you and hubby have a blast😍

You are such a good teacher. What you tell works for kids period. 3 years old will still have accidents, put things were they can learn where they. Go. And the best one what they ate yesterday is a no go today. So you are helping a lot of parents. Even taking sometime for yourselves helps the babies. you are recharged and ready to go. Even going on a vacation. Enjoy all will be well at home.

Anne is gorgeous! You and your family are blessed. My 35 year old son has autism and is nonverbal. Autism has shaped my entire life. It's an indescribable love and an indescribable heartbreak. Things have improved tremendously over the years. I am an elementary school teacher. With the pandemic we have really struggled. Thank you for sharing your family's journey.

Thanks for sharing! I’m going to try the gum detoxify wash for my 2 boys! Potty training My soon to be 3 yr old has improved and I’m so happy to save money by not buying anymore training pants. Sidenote: I’ve always wondered if you wanted more kids? Have you mentioned that in a video before, I’m not sure, just curious😄
Anne's progression is so much better I really believe she will get better I have faith in God.The love Anne gets from you guys and from Grand mum is what will make Anne progress each day❤

Yessss, when my daughters became 2 years old we started putting underwear on them.
We started bringing them every 15 minutes, and eventually they caught on!!
I remember singing songs with them while they were using the toilet!

Hey Vaughn, just came from Walmart in Glen Ellyn. They have long/short sleeve autism shirts in the men’s department. I didn’t have a chance to look in women or kids.
I just love her and her family.❤️
You do need to recharge and get back to knowing yourself. As parents we give all to our children and neglect ourselves.

I use those dental harps because I hate the normal flossing. I had an autistic child in my class and took a few days off, he was so upset and when I returned he was angry with me, I felt so bad for taking that time I needed. sticking to a routine is so important. I love the fact that you are such an involved parent and it is necessary to take a break to rejuvenate and be even better.

im not a mom but i love ur channel..i notice that ann really has a lot of stuff (toys, learning materials, cloths, wall hangings) and things are constantly being moved around..can someone in the comments tell me if this is the same set up for atypical children..im a bit of a minimalist and it all seems overwhelming and too much...would love to hear how minimalist raise autistic children
