One thing I have noticed from watching your videos is that the words for "second," "fourth" and "fifth"-второй, четвёртый, and пятый respectively-have the same first three letters as the words for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday-вторник, четверг and пятница! Maybe the Russian equivalents for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are actually the second, fourth, and fifth days of the week respectively.
Yes
Спасибо Федор!
That was helpful sir...
Спасибо большое
I love the passion with which you say hello to the camera.
Hello! We learned much from your lessons , thank you so much . Good luck to you !!!
Great explaination. Thank you so much :-)
His shirt says “if you understand this, say... or say it! Can’t see if there’s another word after скажи. It’s a nice feeling to understand stuff even when still a beginner ))
nice, I couldn't see the last word. I think it's past tense ("understood"), though.
Numbers are hard to hear, especially phone numbers. This was a very useful video, I have never gone beyond 10th now I can - thank you 😀
I need them in my work as a delivery guy lol so they will be useful a lot for me...
thank youuu
I'm early! Yay!
Люблю тебя, Фёдор! Ты самый лучший преподаватель!

Thank you for this lesson. я девятый! (I think that's right and I'm referring to being the 9th person to comment.)
ДА! It's right!
Я понял твою рубашку!!!
Good
How do you say "the nth time" or "the umpteenth time"? As in I've told you for the umpteenth time already...
Great video for such a tough topic! I know that ordinal numbers are used with the genitive case to tell what day and year you were born in, what day it is today, what time it is, with the prepositive to say what floor you're living on or staying at a hotel but I can't think of any situation when ordinal numbers are used with cases other than the genitive and prepositive. Could you please help me better understand this? Thank you so much in advance!
Stella the polyglot the video on dates will be up on Monday!
We can use to describe a person or an object too. Just talking about their number.
Ситуаций может быть сколько угодно, и использовать можно любой падеж:
Именительный - 2022-ый год всех нас шокировал
Родительный - в коробке не хватает 3-его карандаша
Дательный - дайте медаль 1-ому прибежавшему
Винительный - я ненавижу 2022-ой год
Творительный - я не доволен 2-ым местом
Предложный - я родился в 2003-ем году
Hi sigo sin entender como se dicen los años
Wow, thanks a lot for this video.
Спасиюо большое для это видео. Но как я скажу "Ordinal numbers" на русском языке? - "порядковое числительное
" ?
Exactly
@@alexeygerasimov5976 спасибо
федёр, fyi, you said it correctly in English: 100th (one hundredth), 200th (two hundredth), 300th (three hundredth).
I am glad lol, never used it in my life
you never stuck those other videos you mentioned to check out, in the description, it would seem. maybe i'm just blind?
Got it! Just added. It was just one video from Russian Grammar right?
Hello. Could you please explain how to form ordinal numbers from numerals finally? Is there a rule with witch you can form one without knowing it by heart? Thank you!
Да, если разобрать числительные по составу, то все понятно будет: корень почти не меняется (изменения нужно либо выучить, либо иметь "чувство языка"), а окончания меняются, как у прилагательных
Can someone tell me if Russian uses ordinal indicators like English e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc? Are ordinal numbers abbreviated? Cheers
SPICY BOE.... OH WAIT I MEAN ... спасибо😉 валшоё помощь...I THINK
bol'shoe spasibo za pomoshch'. (I also think.) Google translate says it is "ogromnoye" instead of "bol'shoe" but meh, what do i know?
How can i say 21th, 22th, 23th and 24th ?
Спасибо большое
He answers that in the video (you put the last digit in its "ordinal form" and leave the rest as a cardinal number, just like we do in english). 22nd would be тридцать второй, for example.
Если ты имеешь в виду: как сокращать? То очень просто
1-ый
2-ой
...
368975345783-ий
ugh! Russian numbers...this is when I throw my books at Fedor......
