You might don't know when it's happening and it doesn't have to do anything with maturity. If you mean when you know that someone is sexually attracted to you.
I think that really depends on the reason you don't care. If you value your platonic relationship with them more than finding gratification then sure that's mature. However if your inaction is based on a lack of confidence or personal trauma then it's probably something to seek counseling to overcome.

Sometimes people are just nice and then they don't want to be nice to anyone ever again because people can't seem to understand the difference between nice and flirting

Sometimes someone just wants to be nice and helpful and someone will take that as flirtation when it's not that at all. The person who is taking it the wrong way is delusional and needs help

My niceness IS My intent and COULD NOT BE MISCONSTRUED UNLESS THE OTHER PERSON IS DELUSIONAL. I don't flirt. Many women and men don't but narcissistic people think everything is about them and everyone wants them.
As an autistic folk I do this with almost everyone to compensate my social skills and my interest/courtesy gets confused with flirting, plus, when I try to comunicate my desire to have a sensual relationship I come across as too aggresive/direct 😢

As an ace, there is not a single cell of me that sees someone sexually, but I do romantically and sensually. The problem and what scares me is that someone may connect these thoughts with sexual acts, and then get upset when they are not reciprocated.
