We have all waited long for the spring. Finally, the spring is here. All plants and sprouts are starting to grow. The sour sprouts growing behind my grandma’s are ready to be picked, aka newly grown tree sprouts. They taste very sour, with a fresh leaf fragrance.

Juvia Jem Yes, but she only has access to what is in season, which is the way that it used to be. Americans (yes, I am one) especially, are so spoiled. We should all have kitchen gardens and be drying and preserving food, medicinal herbs, etc. Victory gardens and rationing were two good things that came about because of WWII and we should be doing those voluntarily today.
