Salut.
Vielen Dank. As a coop student, I worked in the factory building with the saw-tooth roof close to station "Klus". Nice memories have been revived with this video.
That blue sky was great. Rides that let you see homes and businesses are my personal favorite. The train was slow enough to see everything on both sides. Thanks for showing me a part of the world that I will never see in real life.
The impressive castle in Klus is the Alt-Falkenstein castle built around 1250. The area at the time belonged to the bishops of Basel, and the bishop tasked one of his vassals, Graf von Falkenstein, to build the castle to guard this mountain pass. Under the Holy Roman Empire, numerous territories in the empire were ruled by archbishops, bishops, and even abbots. These lands, like those ruled by secular princes, were more or less autonomous little countries. Around 1669, the entire area called the Buchsgau was sold by the bishops to the canton of Solothurn for 20,000 guilders.
Beautifully set up with the initial view from the main line - knew about the heritage stock, didn't realise how much there was - meanwhile you've reminded me I still need to comment on the IC5 video, point being the pink text is harder to read than plain white at lower resolutions and nothing it says could cause confusion by being shown in white - you've also reminded me I need to travel the bus route from Waldenburg, once the bug is conquered - all-in-all a tasty route, thank you for covering it \m/
What a great short line. Is much of the industry, the numerous large factories etc., still rail connected? And so many stations on such a short distance. Amazing that they have survived.
How nice to see these little branch lines. What a lovely view at the start. What do they do with all that historic rolling stock? There's even an Re 4/4 I there, it looks like. Do they run main line specials?

The red loco on the right hand side at 8:20 is it a Re 4/4 I ?
They should build a railway line from Balsthal to Waldenburg. Narrow gauge of course :)
Yes

Very interesting
It's always good to see interesting lines that I have never visited and I am never likely to use. Thanks for a great video on a perfect day.
One of the shortest railways in the world, but they have a restaurant car.
Leaving not so fare of this railway line, it is a great pleasure for me to see this video and very well filmed. CONGRATULATION lorirocks777!
Nice video, short and sweet. Liked how the season changes when you switch from the mainline to the branch line, haha!
There be treasure in these hills. Thanks for showing.
So short but really interesting regardless! Guess I'm really used to long route cab videos hahaha
Felt like I was there, thank you for the walk! Keep up the excellent work!👍👏💕
Danke für das tolle Video.Schaute mit Vergnügen.Grüße aus Moskau aus Russland.)))
Very nice little trip on a beautiful day.
6:00 Nice fortification on the high ground to the right.
I really appreciate your videos, always great camera work and good railroad scenery!😃❤️👍🏻

Very short yet amazing ride.
Den "blauen F-Zug" hätte ich in Klus nicht vermutet!
Mas que beleza, começar bem meu sábado aqui no Brasil. Obrigado!!!

Thanks. With the pink I'm trying to distinguish between 2 types of information.
@@lorirocks777 thank you, that makes sense, I would suggest that the distinction is easily understood without the colour \m/
By many accounts this is the world's shortest standard gauge railway line run as a fully public scheduled railway!!
Like my dear, greetings from Brazil.
I wonder what those old passenger cars are doing in the sidings along the way....
Cool gefilmt!
