This gets me vibe of Gen 5, when you battle in Black/White champion of Unova Alder (same like Geeta), and in Black2/White2 battle champion of Unova Iris (same like Nemona)
The funny thing about my run, was when I told my coworkers my team, they thought I was joking, my sister’s boyfriend saw my team and thought I was an idiot, my mom’s nerdy friend saw my team and told me to make changes Torkoal Kricketune Lucario Ampharos Noivern Gogoat Of course everyone was telling me to get rid of Torkoal and Kricketune, switch out Noivern for Goodra, and replace Ampharos with something stronger I said no to all of that And I beat the Elite 4, and I’m at Nemona currently, commenting BEFORE I battle her They said I was a fool, that I couldn’t beat anything with my team unless I relied solely on Lucario, Gogoat and Noivern, I told them all to watch me TORKOAL AND KRICKETUNE EARNED THEIR PLACES ON MY TEAM
Hey, I've beaten Steven with a Torkoal and Diantha with an Ampharos. RedChocobo beat Cynthia with a Kricketune. Competitive pokemon battling absolutely has its place but it's story mode, you're here for a light-hearted and hopefully narratively satisfying time, get out there and find a way to win with the friends you made along the way. e: I mean, you already did, but you know what I mean.
its been really clear throughout the entire game that she holds back against everyone she battles shes too good of a trainer that if she didnt, shed stomp everyone she battled, and they wouldnt get to enjoy battles as much as she does. which is why everyone runs froms her. she almost surely held back even against the elite 4. so when she was able to go all out against you she got excited and went batshit crazy laughing 6:59 i swear this chick gets extremely high off of pokemon battles, people should name their trainer walter white cause they're nemonas main source of battling
They cpuld always do something like what battle revolution did and upscale the arena when in battle. Yeah it means creating battlefield maps, but i think people would like that a lot more than small wailords.
I don't exactly want full voice acting, at best, important scenes being fully voice acted with grunts, some words and maybe partial voice the rest of the time.
Yes very true. We need that, better graphics and quality of the game like botw or Mario odyssey level, and proper level scaling for the open world direction everything else is great. The story, new Pokémon, characters, music, etc.
I miss Chyntia... She was so hard to beat and should we talk about her "surprise" in Pokemon B2/W2? But what we can do... Pokemon become so easy, I think for being more enjoyable to kids.
This game, overall, certainly was not perfect, or even above averageLln some cases. But something about this final battle, along with the cutsenes and everything, kind of made this the perfect final fight.
i hope GF could multiple boss fight HP like 10 times maybe, so the need to spam multiple move, and using more items to survive like many RPG games out there, Persona boss have alot of HP so its not 1 hit like random enemy
I’d rather have an ai overhaul and semi-competitive sets for champions because if they’re gonna get rid of set mode the ai need some sort of way to have coverage against a bad matchup you get a free switch into, plus it’ll make the battles more puzzley due to casual players not knowing exactly how to approach the fight. It’ll never happen cus gf wants to cater to casuals mostly but I think it would be cool.
I think it still works out. All three starters feel strong this gen, their secondary typings go the other way around the weakness chain, and personally my Meowscarada vs. Nemona's Quaquaval was extremely "okay I can one-shot her, but if I'm not in a position to do that and she gets even one Aqua Step speed boost off, then I'm in for a world of hurt because that duck/moorhen/peacock/whatever's got *coverage* ". I feel like player's Skeledirge vs. Nemona's Meowscarada is probably also a tough matchup because of that cat being very fast (although I see that it uses Shadow Claw rather than the STAB of Night Slash or Knock Off. Going easy on us, Nemona?) I don't know how player's Quaquaval vs. Nemona's Skeledirge stacks up, although that feels like the easiest of the three for the player. Good thing Quaxly seems like the least popular pick :v

The textures on the environment are some gamecube levels of old. What game freak needs are new talent not the same old crudgy guys working on the same stuff since 2000. lol.
@@Rubhen925 Is it still worth getting?
yea it's got some new mechanics and stuff. I enjoyed exploring the world. I would recommend if you're a die hard pokemon fan. I enjoyed the story and new direction it took.
@@Rubhen925 its not the fault of the guys lmao. They have access to 4k resolution textures because the SWITCH can run it sometimes. Its the fact that the Game Engine can't handle too high resolution textures. Gamefreak had always been behind graphics-wise. If you look at Gen 3 in the GBA and compare it to some other GBA games at the time, you'll notice that it doesn't look as good. If you look at BW and B2W2, its fps during battles is lower than that of Emerald.
Its their ethos, their design principle, for better or for worse.
My personal opinion though, I think they should hire a third-party developer for the environments so they can focus more on refining the engine. Better yet, they should have opted for a more simplistic artstyle so that the low-quality textures aren't so jarring.
@@Rubhen925 I’ve noticed in some playthroughs, the game runs decently. Apart from patches, is there anything that can be adjusted in game settings or even the Switch, to make the experience smoother?
This gets me vibe of Gen 5, when you battle in Black/White champion of Unova Alder (same like Geeta), and in Black2/White2 battle champion of Unova Iris (same like Nemona)
We all need a Nemona in our lives
I forgot this game had no voice acting and I'm just flabbergasted that people find that acceptable
The funny thing about my run, was when I told my coworkers my team, they thought I was joking, my sister’s boyfriend saw my team and thought I was an idiot, my mom’s nerdy friend saw my team and told me to make changes
Torkoal
Kricketune
Lucario
Ampharos
Noivern
Gogoat
Of course everyone was telling me to get rid of Torkoal and Kricketune, switch out Noivern for Goodra, and replace Ampharos with something stronger
I said no to all of that
And I beat the Elite 4, and I’m at Nemona currently, commenting BEFORE I battle her
They said I was a fool, that I couldn’t beat anything with my team unless I relied solely on Lucario, Gogoat and Noivern, I told them all to watch me
TORKOAL AND KRICKETUNE EARNED THEIR PLACES ON MY TEAM
Hey, I've beaten Steven with a Torkoal and Diantha with an Ampharos. RedChocobo beat Cynthia with a Kricketune. Competitive pokemon battling absolutely has its place but it's story mode, you're here for a light-hearted and hopefully narratively satisfying time, get out there and find a way to win with the friends you made along the way.
e: I mean, you already did, but you know what I mean.
its been really clear throughout the entire game that she holds back against everyone she battles
shes too good of a trainer that if she didnt, shed stomp everyone she battled, and they wouldnt get to enjoy battles as much as she does. which is why everyone runs froms her.
she almost surely held back even against the elite 4.
so when she was able to go all out against you she got excited and went batshit crazy laughing 6:59
i swear this chick gets extremely high off of pokemon battles, people should name their trainer walter white cause they're nemonas main source of battling
This game has many flaws but Nemona is NOT one of them. Incredible character development by GameFreak. Same with Arven.
I feel like a lot of the main characters have super great characterization. That goes for Team Star too, in my opinion
Anybody else besides me feel that Nemona should’ve had a Cyclizar on her team?
To mirror the Koraidon/Miraidon you get at the beginning of the game.
I do wanna try to replay the game without changing pokemon when the foe's pokemon is defeated, sounds like it would make the game so much hardwr
That turn of the head smile at 0:10 though...... 😳🥵
look at how big dondozo is, and wonder why they have to scale wailord down so damn much..
They cpuld always do something like what battle revolution did and upscale the arena when in battle. Yeah it means creating battlefield maps, but i think people would like that a lot more than small wailords.
I do wish you could always go to Nemona's house and rematch her with a random team set up each time
So, no one is going to comment on how Nemona has a rare three segment dudunsparce.....
heh i actually had Garchomp for this fight.
But i went with Jumpluff to punish her Meowscara (or w/e its name was)
I found a shiny giblets by just walking around
@@dylanrodriguez8144 noice. I didnt really shiny hunt though.
They need to add voice acting in these sort of Pokémon games. Seriously, the whole silent thing is boring
Agreed
even the old games at least made a sound whenever you press A to dialogues
@@ren5689 the old games had something called QA which this game completely forgot about or just had a terrible QA team lol.
Damn, the music sync 5:40 - 5:46
5:47
Nemona got humbled 😐
This battle is so hard for me 😭
What level are your team?
see that crit?
Did anyone notice nemona's cuisine large is three segments
when that worm bodypressed that hugecat fish...lul
lol it accomplished nothing :P
I beat the game only using new gen >
Me too, it's kind of a personal rule for me. GameFreak took the time to create these Pokemon I might as well use them and see what they're capable of
Me too. I felt like using the old mons would be a dishonor to the new ones. Also it is very boring just using the old mons
Man, I miss the set mode. Switch mode is good for newcomers and that. But the game should implement a set mode for those who want more challenge
I miss Chyntia...
She was so hard to beat and should we talk about her "surprise" in Pokemon B2/W2?
But what we can do... Pokemon become so easy, I think for being more enjoyable to kids.
What happens if you lose this fight?
So I just beat her but my switch has been acting weird due to overheating and when the screen turned dark at 6:12 I thought that my switch died 😭🤣
This game, overall, certainly was not perfect, or even above averageLln some cases. But something about this final battle, along with the cutsenes and everything, kind of made this the perfect final fight.
This was the funnest battle in the game tbh, the Elite 4 felt annoying and Geeta didn't really feel like anything special.
For how obsessive she is with battling, I consider her the best rival in a Pokemon game (yes, even above Blue)
Pokémon please give us a difficulty selection!!
i hope GF could multiple boss fight HP like 10 times maybe, so the need to spam multiple move, and using more items to survive like many RPG games out there, Persona boss have alot of HP so its not 1 hit like random enemy
I’m enjoying the game so far, but what would make the game better if if nemona chose your starter type’s weakness. That’d spice up the gameplay a lot
@@PaulPower4 player quaquaval vs nemona skeledurge is also scary. She tanked my water move and got a crit shadowball
WTF IS THE SONG NAME
Champion Nemona Battle
Dang I need to upgrade my team, cuz I'm having a hard time defeating Neoma though
Friendship battle 🥺🥺
quite a cutscene but personal space please.
Awesome
For a fight when nemona went all out, this fight was a joke. I fell asleep battling her because she was so ez.
The end was awkward 😳
Keep forgetting how easy the main game is compared to competitive. Read switching, no held items on opposing mon, no maxed out EV/IV.
Do you really expect a game marketed for primarily children would give the opposing characters max IVs or perfectly distributed EVs?
@@foggy8298 Of course not but the battle was a complete sweep. It was never this easy in Gen 1 or 2 when I started. The game is too easy now.
@@chunnisama6835 “now”, Pokémon’s main campaigns have always been incredibly easy, ever since gen 1. The earlier games were just held together by glitches and poor game design alone which gave the A.I. some jank to pull.
Now Pokémon is held together by glitches, poor game design, AND bad graphics compared to its contemporaries.
@@foggy8298 The games have been introducing more mechanics through the gens like exp share, lucky eggs, mints, strong held items in general and easier access to competitively viable pokemon giving you more of an edge. The AI trainers however have not grown to match this and have been left in the dust.
@@chunnisama6835 I mean, I guess it’s *easier*? Pokémon has never even lightly touched the concept of challenge, though. At least, not for people who know about the game or are major try-hards. Playing Pokémon for the challenge is like playing Smash Bros (besides brawl) for the story.
You’ll get something, but not that.
i literally cried bc i battled her with my level 50-52 pokemon 😭😭 took forever to win
0:54
She ain’t gon run up on Ghetsis with that energy doe.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
To everyone saying how Geeta is a terrible Champion, I agree. But Nemona was way too easy too.😂😂😂 these new Pokémon are way too easy.
Geeta more like Fraudta. Nemona is the true champion. I have to actually hold back so that Geeta can at least KO one of my Pokemon, Nemona actually put me on edge because of Stealth Rock and how fast the rest her team is. Her Pawmo oneshot my Garganacl ffs.
I thought the champion was the brown lady in the black suit???
She is considered the Top Champion. The person permanently on E4. I posted a video fighting her. People beating the E4 champion are considered champions as well. This rival has beaten the champion so we are fighting each other after both becoming champions.
Every trainer who beats the 8 Gym Leaders gets to be called a Champion in Paldea - a participation ribbon, if you will, or just a simple formality, to be less pessimistic.
@@Strato_Casterrr9898 it’s not really a participation trophy. A participation trophy would be giving everyone in the gym challenge the title, even if they lose to the gym leaders.
@@flamenami true. But do consider that, in other games, the title "Champion" has to actually be earned. Also, beating Gym leaders is often treated as a minor thing in the games, hence why you face so many trainers in the Victory Roads.
@@Strato_Casterrr9898 ok but you are still wrong. To be considered a champion rank you still have to beat the champion, not just the 8 gyms. You have to beat the 8 gyms to quilify for the champion test just like in the other games
Crazy yandere girl wants to battle!
pokemon, hard as always
SV would be absolutely perfect if they had voice acting....
yeah its kinda awkward having these scenes without voice acting
the grass type used a grass terastatlsying thing like an iddiot wtf
I battled Nemo a and she had a three segment dudunsparce
