Old Westchester Mall / Providence Place High Point, Nc

Here is a look at the old Westchester Mall that closed in the mid 90's and has been repurposed with some business's and built a nursing home facility called Providence Place where one of the anchor stores used to be.

Westchester Mall opened in 1970 as the Triad’s first ever indoor shopping center that was anchored by Belk, Thalhimers, Woolworth’s, and JC Penney along with 200stores and services that also was anchored by two grocery stores Kroger and A&P.

use to go that mall all the time when I was a teenager I'll never forget the smell of peanuts and chocolate

Wow thanks for doing this video. I worked in that mall back around 88-89. I was looking to find out what happened to it. I didn't know that it closed.
That first little food place you saw on the right use to be an Orange Julius. I met one of my first girlfriends there! I was the manager of Kay-Bee toys that was 2 doors down from the Orange Julius on the right. Between us was Eckard's drug store. This is a blast from the past. Brings back memories.
