Nice to see those old stations still standing. If only the flow of history had allowed them to still be in use. For reasons remaining unknown, I like the look of trains of tank cars.
Do those still have the actual 20 cylinder motor in them? 20 miles to the southwest in Ithaca NY the local short line has an SD 45 which I'm pretty sure was given the 16 cylinder motor and converted to an SD 40-2. If your right that's extraordinary.
That's awsome. I only thought their was that one left out near Duluth MN. Thank you. I will try and make a point of seeing those as I live in the Southern Teir to the west.
You're not going to find this anywhere else in the Country! The NYSW is such a classy railroad, even if they are chronically power short (they could go buy the ex. DMVW SD45s from LTEX, just saying).
Always loved 45s. Very well proportioned locomotives. And a classy paint scheme like Susie qs makes them look even better.
@@woods840 They are very nice!
Beautiful! Nice to see those units hauling tonnage
@@Cseidelmann6770 Thanks!
Two things you don't see or hear very often. SD 45's and jointed rail. Great video.
@@davidfry145 Thanks!
The 45’s are my favorites of all diesel types followed by the 40’s and ALCO 628’s and 630’s. Great sound when idling “hummers” 😀
Great Video. ! Watch these guys go by the house every day. North and South from the Cuse. Even 3024 every once in a while. Keep Up the Great Work 🇺🇲
@@charlesferebee263 Nice, thank you!

@ if you say so. 😁
Raw horsepower in the cold winter. Travel safe. Thanks
Thanks!
No FRED on last car? Are they exempt if this is the only train on this route? Just curious, good vids though.

Thank you very much!
I just came across this video ... Subscribed!!! 👍

Excellent video! Thanks for posting it! Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if any others of the SD45s that NYSW bought in the 1980s still exist?
Thanks for watching! These are the only 2 SD45s that the NYSW still owns.
Number 3040 is still running NYSW
@@paullight6341 That is a GP40 and works out of Utica.
