Sirens blare across central Israel, people run for shelter in Tel Aviv amid rockets from Lebanon|War

Israelis ran for shelter on Wednesday (November 6) when a rocket barrage from Lebanon triggered rocket sirens across central Israel including Tel Aviv.
In the city of Givatayim, near Tel Aviv, people rushed to clear a cafe and sought shelter as sirens echoed across the streets. White puffs of smoke were seen in the sky when Israel's air defence system intercepted the rockets overhead.
In Tel Aviv, construction workers, among other people, ran into a nearby underground parking to find shelter.
Approximately 10 projectiles were identified crossing into Israel from Lebanon, a statement from the Israeli army said, adding that some of the projectiles were intercepted.
Israeli police said it was working to clear several sites in central Israel where rockets hit. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
