Yes, though his team was based on event only pokemon from Gen 1. Pikachu, Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur are all Gen 1 starters (Pikachu being the starter for Yellow), his Espeon was the Eevee he picked up in Celadon, Snorlax was one of the two that he needed to use a Pokeflute to battle/catch so he could get to Fuscia, and Lapras was the one he was given by the Silph Co. scientist just before saving the President from Giovanni. Machamp kinda follows the trend as there's a trade for a Machoke (that evolves into a Machamp when you receive it of course) in Yellow, as does Arcanine, sort of (Vulpix/Arcanine was a Game Corner prize depending on the version). So the legendaries are most likely out for a canon appearance for him as while he canonically did catch them, they weren't gifts or events that was required to progress. I could definitely see them giving him the fossils or one of the Gen 1 trade exclusives though.
How gell trained are those pokemon? Mewtwo at level 70 isn't that good when your team is at level 85, and the legendary birds could be at lvl 50 perfectly.
It would be really cool that if there was a World Championship similar to what it’s like Black 2 and White 2 that Red would be the true final boss for the games as he’ll switch between team depending on what Pokemon, moves and abilities you have for him to get the advantage and would be very hard to take down as it’ll seem that he’s predicting your every move coming from the Pokemon Master himself.

100th like feel like that’s cool for some reason? Edit) I think it would be funny if you did the true power of the first trainer in each game and because there so low level predict Pokemon they would have to figure out there ULTIMATE POWER!!!!!
In Red and Blue, you can get all of his Pokémon but you have to Ether Trade starters or commit Glitches. In yellow, you can easily get all of his Pokémon Seeing how it’s Not Possible to Trade later generation Pokémon to earlier Generation games the only thing that’s close to getting espeon is by ether having an Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon and rename them espeon and make them all learn psychic moves.
I'm surprised you didn't mention his Pokemon Stadium 2 appearance in this. Not that it would matter in the end thinking about it, but it's just a thought.
Excellent video. Wasn't Red credited with catching all 151 in the original manga? I'm aware that this is about his game appearances but, it is an interesting consideration.
Nice episode!! Ash's true power would be interesting; a bit tougher without levels, but you've used moves to judge level range, before. Can't wait to see more!
I know this video came out forever ago and it probably doesn't matter but Blastoise can also Mega Evolve, as evident by the 20 consecutive win battle against Red.
It's kind of funny how one of the most legendary trainers ever is so seriously limited because they feel the need to constantly stick him with the gen 1 starters. Even Professor Oak isn't that attached to them! The guy captured all the Pokemon in the Kanto region. At bare minimum he's got a ton of options and that excludes the chance he'd actually go out into the world to capture more. But...is what it is in terms of the NPC Red who is honestly less impressive than Blue in that sense.
If you set the team at tournament rules (level 50 or lower), Espeon must be in replacing Arcanine, specially when you consider that ALL gen 1 and gen 2 pokemon get their hidden ability when transfer to later gens, so his Espeon MUST have magic bounce with that logic.

his strongest team are our team when we play gen 1 yes with a MewTwo
It'd be cool to see you and a friend use teams you make these videos for and battle each other
awesome i was waiting for that
can you start johto, gym leaders for example falkner or bugsy
please do "RICH BOY WINSTON"
Love it!! Please do Johto Gym Leaders next :)
I dont think any of the gen 2 characters beat red but thats up for debate. Great video by the way. I love this channel
Falkner. Give us the bird boy
Red from origins walks in: so you have chosen death
WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR
I want Red's Team as :
Charizard (CharizarditeX)
Gyarados (Gyaradosite)
Aerodactyl (Aerodactylite)
Mewtwo (MewtwoniteX)
Snorlax
Dragonite
Ngl I kinda squealed out loud seeing this video. Red is my absolute favorite NPC/character and IMO the strongest trainer of all time. Loved the vid keep it up!
All right let's see where this going to go can't wait
Including Pokémon Home, all of Red’s team is available in Sword and Shield. But until then, Venusaur and Blastoise can be replaced by Pikachu and Lapras.
I didn't know venasaur was reds second favorite to probably main in the game while Charizard is in anime
Also falker
ivanbluecool in the manga Red’s first Pokémon was a poliwag he found near a pound in pallet town when he was very young a few years later he got bulbasuar from prof oak
@@nazeersadek6705 oh that makes sense. That's a good starting team with poison grass water and later fighting. Makes sense now to why venasaur is treated very special by him. Also poor Blastoise gets no love
ivanbluecool well not really squirrtle was stolen by leaf in the manga and in the anime it was blue’s starter
@@nazeersadek6705 guess whe red got one he treats it worse of the bunch in game as it gets no mega in his group. Kinda sad if you ask me.
ivanbluecool leaf has a mega stone for blastoise in the manga and I would say blue has one in the anime to keep things balanced between the OG rivals
I mean, I get wanting to become the very best, but at least CALL YOUR MOM!
Yo you kill these vids bro!! 🔥🔥🔥
Are we just gonna ignore red spamming blizzard on every Pokémon with free hail on mtsilver
Hmm...was gonna do a "How GOOD was RED ACTUALLY" vid....
Very interesting that we came up with essentially the same strategy....!
Red's mom: I think my son is de- *cuts off*
If you known where this comes from, you're a true legend.
From where please tell
@@oniiiiichaaaaaan Pokèmon Golder (parody of pokèmon gold)
I'M MORE THAN JUST YOUR SEQUEL!
Just discovered this channel and series recently and it's great! Makes me want to go back and play some classic gen 3 games.
On a side note, as much of a meme as it is and not sure if it could be considered, can we see a Twitch Plays Pokemon team? Looking at the pokemon that finished the elite four
That espeon used to wreck my soul back in the day.
Speaking of Gold how come we never seen him again in future installments? Did they like forget about him?
Evan Plays Gold got the typhlosion treatment
100th like feel like that’s cool for some reason?
Edit) I think it would be funny if you did the true power of the first trainer in each game and because there so low level predict Pokemon they would have to figure out there ULTIMATE POWER!!!!!
In Red and Blue, you can get all of his Pokémon but you have to Ether Trade starters or commit Glitches.
In yellow, you can easily get all of his Pokémon
Seeing how it’s Not Possible to Trade later generation Pokémon to earlier Generation games the only thing that’s close to getting espeon is by ether having an Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon and rename them espeon and make them all learn psychic moves.
Me before seeing the video: what's the worst that could happen?
Me after seeing the video: ...DEAR GOD
I waited so long for this
As for idea for next vid id propose true power of kanto where wpuld be comsidered pokemon of all Kanto trainer teams
How about the champion you never have to fight? Alder's true power!
Honestly kinda wanna know Flannery's true power silph
I'm surprised you didn't mention his Pokemon Stadium 2 appearance in this. Not that it would matter in the end thinking about it, but it's just a thought.
Staduim and PBR aren't part of the cannon of the mainline games.
Yooo my comment made it into the video, awesome dude!
Excellent video. Wasn't Red credited with catching all 151 in the original manga? I'm aware that this is about his game appearances but, it is an interesting consideration.
Byron and Roark please. I love the correlation between their teams in Platinum
I wish Red had kept his Espion.. he replaced it for a second water type.
Great video.
I want to ask for Leon, but nobody will agree with me so I'll just request for my boy, Crasher Wake.
If you set the team at tournament rules (level 50 or lower), Espeon must be in replacing Arcanine, specially when you consider that ALL gen 1 and gen 2 pokemon get their hidden ability when transfer to later gens, so his Espeon MUST have magic bounce with that logic.
