Carson actually had an undefeated amateur boxing record in the Navy, so I've read.

He had a record of 10-0, fighting at 160lbs during his time in the US Navy.

@@petesmitt Then he should have known how to strike the speed bag. Even teenage golden glovers can do that, and it's something you never forget how to do.

Smokin Joe was a true American and perfect world Champion.. it's a shame that he isn't champion of the world TODAY . he would be beloved by the whole world over . He represented the purity of boxing and the honor and integrity of the sport.... And that is everlasting!

This video is great to understand the size of Joe Frazier. Like Mike Tyson, it can be hard to appreciate his size because of his height. Both men stand, or stood, at 5'10" - 5'11", but their frames are massive, Even though Frazier is close in height to Carson and shorter than McMahon, his frame dwarfs both of them.

Also amazed at the intelligence of Frazier and manner of speaking.
Many boxers of his era may have come from Blue-Collar backgrounds, but were very articulate in the way in which they spoke.

Joe Frazier , one of the classiest Champs that ever lived … Most don’t know that he lobbied the Boxing Commission to help Clay/Ali get his license re-instated .
He also gave Ali/Clay a ton of money .
We all know how he paid that generosity back …. He bad mouth the World & called him an Uncle Tom ….
Hope Stallone clarifies who the Real Rocky was … Frasier !!
Stallone owes Philadelphia that much !! 🎉🎉😮

It doesn’t seem that Sly is ever going to set the record straight he’s too busy making lousy movies.
Oh, the irony! as everyone knows there’s a statue of the fake boxer Rocky Balboa on the steps of that famous building in Philly, but not one of the real Rocky Joe Frazier 😢 life is full of these kind of ironic sad stories.

I was going to post that Carson must have been clowning a little bit because he was a pretty good boxer in the Navy, but I didn't realize he's 10-0. And he was obviously in very good shape for a 47 year old man here.

I thought that Joe was a great champion! Yes, he lost twice to George Foreman! To my knowledge, Joe didn’t avoid other fighters when he had the belt. When George Foreman was the new and arguably toughest kid on the block, Joe, against the advice of his manager, fought him and lost. To quote George Foreman, “they stopped the fight, they didn’t stop Joe Frazier.” Joe was gracious in victory and in defeat. I liked Muhammad Ali, but he was so cruel to Joe.

  • @arthurwatt5162
