Hi Brad, great job! the other day I did a headlight restoration with your method on a 2007 Dodge ram. They were one of the worse headlights i've done. Question for ya, in this video you sprayed from bottom to the top of the headlight, which in every other video you go from top to bottom, is there a reason why you did that on these headlights?
Thank you Keith! For some, it does. When you have shape edges you have to be very careful when it comes to spraying, because it can build up and cause a drip. For this particular one, no, it didn't matter. A good example would be the 2019 Silverado.
Thats how mine look. I just used the turtle wax kit and the sand paper they provided did not even faze mine! I used everything I had laying around and nothing worked.
Mine were worse than that, just used Mothers cleaner for a few min and they look great now. Excited to see the visibility difference tonight cuz it was shit before
I did this to a Toyota Tundra, lasted about a year. I did it with a name brand kit like Turtle Wax or something, don’t remember. I’ve been watching a lot of videos about the best products for trim and headlights, Cerakote seems to have the best results. I may try their kit.
Cerakote is great! However, clear coat application is best for headlights, since you can control the amount of coverage for each square inch. When using wipes, the area where you start is going to have more material/product on it, than where you finish.
If it’s similar to the hard to find clear coat in the old “lightbrite” kits - I sorta had mixed results…. After one year it was clear but it always had sort of a satin texture…. I have had great results with meguiars on 2 vehicles but have not really tested the whole year timeline…. I am told the Megs says one year only to be conservative - so in reality if someone actually washes their vehicle = they likely will get a longer time period out of it
@@07wrxtr1 I haven't heard of the lightbrite ones, but after doing a Google search, they do look pretty old. But yes, I tell all my customers when they ask about maintenance. Lack of cleaning the headlight is one of the biggest factors in clearcoat deterioration. We get mixed times on our customers when it comes to callbacks.
Let's go got my kit doing my headlights this weekend.
Nice! I hope your headlights aren't as bad as these!
Need more videos light this excellent job
Thank you for the feedback, many are saying the same thing. I'll try to do more like this! Thanks!
Ha Brad where are you ? We need more videos !
Working on some stuff right now! Should have one out soon 😁
@@StartRestoringHeadlights well it’s about time !… lol

I used 320 to break through the oxidation. Definitely a rough one
How much was this priced? If you dont mind me asking. Thanks!
This was my sister's truck, but we charge $89.99 with a 3-year warranty
Great job! Looks great! How long did it take you to do them? Thanks
Thank you! About 45 minutes from start to finish.
Have you had a vehicle where you can start and finish with 600 grit?
Yes, most vehicles we do, we can use the 600 only (e.g., Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus)
@@StartRestoringHeadlights how much are the cans of clear coat without the kit?
@@INTIREMOBILETIRESHOP $130 for 4

Just me? 9 1/2. 9 vehicles, 1 vehicle with a single light

@@StartRestoringHeadlights , not sure about their headlight kit, haven’t seen one used yet, not sure what all is in it?
Dodge truck headlights have always been tough.
Ohh 100%. The newer ones have some pretty stubborn clear compared to these.
Donde lo venden en México? Algún distribuidor?🤔
What’s the spray?
Its a UV Clear coat filler from NextGenHeadlightSolutions.com
Hola ¿,Cuanto tiempo seca al aplicarlo? Y ¿cuanto tiempo dura el brilo para volver a pulir?

600 and thats it ? I would think you would end at about 2000 before spray ?
Correct. For this method, 600 only. The clear coat has filling properties in it, which adds a much gives a thicker coat of protection.
