Yeah trading him to an inner-divisional rival would be dumb. However, if we part ways with him I'd at least send him to a good spot. Don't ship him off to bumfuck Carolina like we did to Diontae, lol. Cam has been a valued member for us for a long time, also very low maintenance with little to no drama. We should do right by him.

I wouldn’t trade him to Cleveland either. Cams the one that said he will go to Cleveland if he don’t don’t get a 3 year deal with Pittsburgh. Sounds like blackmail to me. Send him to what ever team is offering the most.

More than anything, he wants to play football. Cam and the Steelers are evidently not in the same ballpark on an extension. Forget about emotion. It's about performance. It may be that Keanu Benton is ready or is expected to be ready when Cam's current deal ends. No one plays forever and I don't blame Cam one little bit for trying to maximize his income, or for the Steelers to use their best judgement on extensions for older players.
