we will have to wait and see what they decide. i dont think they will put the keys in the Delves though, people in WoW have a stupid habit of only doing one type of content, then complain of how bored they are.
I expect they will be tired to a world quest, so you can specifically see what quests will reward you keys so you can target them. But probably also have random mobs drop them.
They really need to make sure these things do not require you to do any amount of group content to do the 'mage tower' style delves. The point of the system is to allow solo players to have their own thing in this game mainly.
I am ridiculously excited about delves. I’m a casual player with a normal-to-some heroic raid team twice a week on my main, but it’s not for that. Delves will give me actual meaningful reasons to log into my alts. I don’t want to queue for LFR or find pug raids for my alts, and I really don’t want to get rejected 40 times for mythic plus dungeons like happens now with the vast majority of DPS player alts. Delves are going to fill that content gap for my other characters, and they won’t have a single negative impact on either my raid team or any other player. Everyone needs to remember that almost NO ONE raids on more than one or two characters. I can’t wait.
I love these type of videos much more than the Clips channel. Every time I watch the clips, they just feel like longer conversations taken out of context. I mean from a creators standpoint I kinda get it because you can have a long conversation and then just chop it up into a little bits and then put out several videos from that. But as a consumer a lot of times, I’m left feeling like I need more information.
Locking content rewards behind another type of content entirely is just dumb, I really hope they change this by adding the keys to rares/elites in the delves. Just think about finishing the delve, seeing this huge treasure room and YOUR rewards from YOUR gameplay in the delve is locked behind world quests..
Are we for sure that the keys will be tied to open world public events? If so, that would be a huge mistake. Do raiders, PvP gladiators, and M+ players have to do public events to get the best loot from their content? Of course not. Solo players need to actually have their own pillar for once without forcing them to do other content.
Solo players already do world quests and, starting in Dragonflight, world events. Since this is confirmed to be another endgame pillar for solo and casual players, there’s absolutely no reason why they can’t give us world quest and world event rewards of keys for delves. In fact, I hope that’s the case. Raiders and M+ers already have a more massive time commitment, and they don’t NEED delves because they’ll out gear the rewards quickly, so that’s not germane.
Delves are great. Torghast was fun, but it being mandatory made it un-fun, because you were FORCED to do it, instead of choosing to do it. As a casual who hates partying/raiding, Delves will be great way to get Gear without tryharding so I can focus on the casual stuff that's TRULY important, like Fishing or getting Insane in the Membrane.
I love follower dungeons, I wish they made the rewards exactly like an LFG. Or just get rid of LFG, since people would rather do a follower than a LFG. With follower dungeons, I don't have performance anxiety or worrying about a toxic piece of garbage ruining my mood.
a nice side effect i realised whilst watching footage, is that delves will hopefully provide a simple training ground for players un-initiated into m+/raid with regards to learning game mechanics. learning to interrupt, the visualisation of certain spells and other mechanics of the nature. im sure as they naturally want to progress in difficulties by themselves, they'll learn in a meaningful way how to combat these using the tools in their characters kits, kinda similar to the MOP proving grounds in a way but more cemented into the game :)
Do you see Delves and Follower Dungeons blending together at some point in the future? I'm really enjoying Follower Dungeons. Think we will ever see Follower Raids?

I suspect delves will be enjoyable for much longer than world content will be enjoyable. I also hope they don't micromanaged the fun out of them or make higher difficult simply feel tedious. My biggest concern is that Delves don't feel different enough or special enough. I was hoping for a larger jump in innovation of gameplay methods than what I've been seeing in them so far.

Welcome to Path of Exile endgame. Just without the complexity. This would have been fun in the olden days... enough opportunity for it there was. Could have done this easily with some labyrinthine crypts, especially with the Qiraji theme or past that with the Nerubians in Northrend, which were so completely wasted it hurts.
I friggin loved Torghast, but I hate how it was mandatory for people who didn’t like it. My only real complaint with DF was that the Torghast descendants were not nearly as fun as Torghast.
I loved torghast and I'm *mostly* looking forward to delves, It's that air/candle mechanic that just looks like a pain in the ass. People find that interesting? I want the content hard, not "keep your candle lit" nonsense dictating difficulty.
I just get the impression that Blizzard doesn’t know how to make an RPG anymore. All they know what to do is making more dungeon crawling hamster wheels.
Delves look amazing. I hate dungeons and i haven't raided since vanilla 18-19 years ago. I can get some PvE fun with Delves on my time and no garbage people to put up with that you CAN but not always run into group content.
I'm excited for delves, but am fairly annoyed about having to earn a key outside the delve itself. I don't have a lot of hours to play each week, and needing to grind WoW's worst content - daily quests and world bosses - to allow delves to deliver gear is frustrating. Just because I am a "midcore" player doesn't mean that I faceroll dailies all the time...
Hope they don't suck like Mage Towers - they need to be balanced across all specs/classes. Mage Towers were trivial for some and impossible for others. Hope delves don't have that issue.
it probably wont be balanced at all really, because all Classes can do the same Delve. i'd really like them to tune down the Mage Tower for the Specs that struggle.
I'm sorry but do we really need FOUR types of crests? One crest, just jack the costs. If Johnny Hardcore wants to grind lower difficulty to upgrade, that's on him.
I killed the lich king back in wotlk why cant i just walk into a new place and feel powerful and just own it with mind puzzle for a challenge for a change
Let’s be real. Delves will be absolutely horrible and repetitive. I’d be extremely surprised if it’s even playable. It’s probably gonna be mandatory coz they will make it so due to the low numbers engaging in the content. I’m if I know blizzard. This will be shit
I just can't express how uninteresting and unimportant "delves" feel. The only way for me to progress my character in retail WoW is to do the treadmill. *That's* the problem, and it's been that way since fucking Wrath. I *despise* the lock out system. At least in Classic you had so many things you *could* do that it didn't feel like the time gating slapped you in the face and said "no more gaming for you this week"
Hard =/= fun , I'm tired of hearing that (personally) , I never enjoyed anything in video games that was hard , kind of like why I detest souls like games and absolutely love Warriors series games (Dynasty , Orochi etc.)
Honestly, delves seems to be weak to me. Do caves with the same NPC to get itens weaker than dungeons and raids - what means the game design still the same: pushing people to do raids and m+ for get good gear, and the rest of the huge world(maps, quests, etc) wandering into oblivion. And they charge monthly. Blizzard's sense of fun is dead to me.
More solo contgent is the only way I can play wow now and I guess there are tons of people in the same boat who are now married with kid(s) and can t plan raid times anymore.

I hope delves work out as it would be content for me. I'm a bit leery on the key thing as I don't want to be stuck grinding world content just to do what I actually want to do.
I would think keys are coming from stuff like the weekly quest for world content and public activities.
As an open world/outdore players I think delves so far looks great. I dont mind getting a challenge, but I have to do them at my own pace. When playing wow I dont want to get stressed out. In Mythic+ and raids is stressing me out alot, but i think raiding and mythic+ shall be in the game for players who enjoy that type of content.
Michael please remember something doesn't have to be super hard to have fun this is for the casual audience players..also the key thing remember forbidden reach..it was like popular for 2weeks then it got stale..and yes you have to grind your brain to gather those keys .to get into the room to do the puzzles..it was tedious..
You kind of creeped me out with the idea of having to raid to gear to do harder delves.
no doubt the 13th Delve will be easier as the seasons go on, up until Midnight when the squish happens.
Wow this feature is just AMAZING! Blizzard have outdone themselves!
love this idea .... i used to like scenarios ... this sounds fun
I think that definitely would lead me playing wow more :D im so excited about delves and hope it will be a great game mode
Does anyone know if in Remix , the dungeons in padaria are follower-dungeon activated or not?
Welcome to Path of Exile endgame.
Just without the complexity.
This would have been fun in the olden days... enough opportunity for it there was. Could have done this easily with some labyrinthine crypts, especially with the Qiraji theme or past that with the Nerubians in Northrend, which were so completely wasted it hurts.
I hope I can do them effectively as a healer....
When do you think Beta will start?
I’m so stoked for delves!
I friggin loved Torghast, but I hate how it was mandatory for people who didn’t like it. My only real complaint with DF was that the Torghast descendants were not nearly as fun as Torghast.
Delves, a more flexible M+ mode which can be solo'ed...not bad.
This brought me back hope it’s good
It's so secret that it's a UA-cam video almost half a year before it even comes out
I don’t think delves being shit are gonna effect that many as we are used to shitty new game modes and have gone 20 years without them
Also, Michael, get some rest bro you sound beat to hell lol we'll be around when you're feeling better
"Limiting the rewards you receive makes sense because"...sentences you only hear from WoW.
Any sane MMO, even the OTHER one. Otherwise people over grind it , or out gear what they can plan for.
Arm chair devs are always so sad lol
Have you seen sunfury fire mage? I'll do anything to play it xd delves, world content, m+ or raids... Hell might even PvP
I loved torghast and I'm *mostly* looking forward to delves, It's that air/candle mechanic that just looks like a pain in the ass. People find that interesting? I want the content hard, not "keep your candle lit" nonsense dictating difficulty.
I want to be a spiderman.
And lol all of those bot showing their rear. Robots surely know how humans tick 🤣
There's no soul ash to grind in delves, yet. There's no "forced grind" in delves yet. Remember how Torghast started in beta?
I just get the impression that Blizzard doesn’t know how to make an RPG anymore. All they know what to do is making more dungeon crawling hamster wheels.
MMOs are hamster wheels, wake up, Bubbles.
Man, you sure like whining without watching videos
If the pvp track from the vault has gone, has it been moved to somewhere else?
likely PVP Gear will be gotten with PVP Currency, as Blizz has heard that RNG Vault Drops messes with PVP in a bad way, so now Vault is 100% PVE.
From blizzcon, it's back to earning points and buying the gear you want, like before
@@OhNoTheFace wasnt broken to begin with, so why fix it?
Let me store chests in a storeroom up to a limit and use keys when I get them.
Oh cool, withered army training 2.0 🥴
Gunna be like Tourguast
Delves look amazing. I hate dungeons and i haven't raided since vanilla 18-19 years ago. I can get some PvE fun with Delves on my time and no garbage people to put up with that you CAN but not always run into group content.
I hope you are right my dude
Its just going to become sweaty Delveghast Exploration.
Every single comment is a booty bot
Cannot wait for this
More solo contgent is the only way I can play wow now and I guess there are tons of people in the same boat who are now married with kid(s) and can t plan raid times anymore.
