It actually makes a lot of sense for Locus-Walker to be a Harbinger. They definitely seemed really concerned after the end of the quest
I feel like that wouldn't even be a twist at this point. He's the most expected. After what he said, it could've been Xal'Atath in the past as well, though. we'll see which one

Dimensius actually wasnt a dungeon boss, thats Pandemonius in Mana-Tombs. Dimensius was part of a quest chain in Netherstorm, I think at the end of a long quest chain iirc.
I feel like Warlock players should be able to interrogate their Void Walker about this. It was cool when we could talk to our demons during green flame quest.
Or if we lose the ability to use our void walker (they turn against us) / shadow priests either lose the ability or have to start a new faction that follows the Void Lords

We lean about Kar'esh during the Harbinger quest (out today) as well. We are the ones that talk to Locus Walker.
Had to get the video out before everyone got to play it for some datamined theories, so there can be a new video complaining about datamines spoiling the story lol
K'aresh is the name. K'aresh and Kar'esh sounds different phonetically... One is kAresh and the other is Kar Esh. I'm no spelling nazi, but sometimes it needs to be said that there are difference between names and if you learn it wrong, you will always misspell. I saw somebody in Accolonn comments that misspelled the name of Sargeras as Sargerus and he said that this is how he knew the name to be and even said that I am wrong. I do not know why he learned it this way, maybe a language problem or misspelled error, but he never replied again when asked and after many people replied that he is wrong.
Im hoping over time Blizz will expand more on other planets, and let us explore other worlds more. Example how we on Azeroth still discovering other lands, Maybe we can go back to Dreanor, Argus, or K'aresh, and discover new lands on those planets for a few expansions.
I'm pretty sure our Draenor is pretty much completely destroyed now at this point in the canon. Like even more than it was in BC. But I might be misremembering

@@petert3355 Presumably the same way they are geared now but they also do it with Evokers in dragonoid form.
@@petert3355I mean, to be fair, there are tons of Ethereals wearing armor, the only pieces that aren't exactly full pieces are the chest/legs. So the armor would just fit/work different on them, but seems possible.

I love how everybody just trusts Locus Walker. He appears outta nowhere all voidy and shit, he helps us defeat the Void's greatest enemy and pulls one of our greatest champions to the "dark side". He's void corrupted as is, but everybody seems to trust him, including the players. He's obviously pulling a Palpatine and I wouldn't be surprised if he worked with Xal'atath or even if she worked against him.
Edit: the Radiant Song is an obvious manipulation, too. Everybody sees different visions, ones that will spur specifically them to action. This is not how the Light operates. This is how the Void operates.
What if they ethereals want to use azeroths world soul to save theirs?
I don't think you're wrong about Locus Walker being a Palpatine figure but I think he is giving half truths. Yes, Xal'atath is working on doing the same thing that happened to his world to Azeroth but his plan is also going to be bad for us. I think the guy who posted before me in response is probably correct or correct enough.
Somebody pointed that Locus could have been their planet Harbinger and is now remorseful.
@@Soma6372 I think it might be the case, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Xal'atath was actually working against the Void somehow for her own gain - she doesn't seem like the kind to serve. I wouldn't be surprised if Locus-Walker was the actual Harbinger of Dimensius.
There was a theory that Xal'atath is a part of Azeroth's world soul that got corrupted with the Void. If that was true, she could be working on turning the planet more voidy to hide it from the Void Lords.
@@ScarlettSpitfyre I think he might have been, but I don't believe he's remorseful in a way that'd make him save another planet. He wants to restore Karesh if anything.

Is it me, or is the audio balance a bit off with the last few videos from Belular? It sounds like the "S" sound is coming through a lot stronger than most other sounds.
I've actually been finding that on quite a few UA-cam videos lately, and haven't been sure if it's in my imagination. Have to turn some music videos down to a lower volume than usual because the S sounds are so piercing. Couldn't work out if I'd changed some settings or something, but maybe it's UA-cam that's changed...

So the Lore about the Ethereals is more or less a shortend copy of the Warhammer 40k Necron Story. They even have a Nexus-King
I don't think Magni isn't seeing the visions for a sinister reason I think it's because the world soul is now strong enough it can communicate with everyone killing two birds with one stone. It proves Magni was telling the truth and why use a translator when you speak the language.
Best thing about all this? Every tiny step we make in this direction pushes us closer and closer to the thing players have been wanting since BC: Playable Etherials!

Funny thing, Locus is very similar to the German word Lokus, but Lokus is another word for toilet in German. That's why I keep thinking, when i hear Locus Walker, about someone going to the toilet constantly xD

"locus" in Latin means "place", the word location in English and some other languages comes directly from that word, some of your German words as well, like the word "lokal" for example and others, so I'm very interested now also what region you are from because I want to research how it ended up meaning toilet colloquially in German :D

I have a psychotic thought, what if Locus Walker is a Old God from Ka'resh?
Either playing the long game or straight up Regrets what he did and is trying to stop it from happening again.
Being that the Old Gods are essentially children of the Void Lords, you can only imagine how intense THEIR whispers of madness are.
Going to other planets always makes the best expansions. New planets means they don't have to find another island that was lost in the couch cushions all this time.

Nothing wrong with introducing new lore or expanding the game. Takes 10 seconds to think.. "yeah the game has to expand after 20 years"
@@Mrdnz-ll1uh literally every expansion but TBC, WoD, and ShadowLands were essentially just islands/bodies of land added onto Azeroth's map.
Ps. I'm all for Azeroth still getting built on/updated, but would be nice for Azeroth to not be getting so expansive with all it's "new" continents, and we got to experience all these planets we've seen/heard of thru the lore.
@@jerrytruckn Except that it makes very little sense when they "find" new islands on Azeroth. We have Naaru spaceships that can see the whole planet.
Anyway, I'm not totally against it, I loved Legion. Just saying, going to other planets is more exciting and doesn't require the retcon shoehorn. Plus TBC is my favorite expac and Ethereals one of my all-time favorite races.

I believed in the beginning that Locus Walker is Nexus-King Salhadaar and because he lead the Ethereum and they took drastic measures in fighting Dimensius, even transforming themselves into void creatures, maybe Salhadaar done the exact thing and when he died in Netherstorm, he didn't actually die because was not killed in the Void and was reborn there. But now I believe other theory: what happened to the worldsoul of K'aresh? Dimensius being a Void Lord would have not wanted to destroy the worldsoul, the Void wants to corrupt it, no? I believe Locus Walker is the worldsoul of K'aresh, he took the form of his planet dominant lifeform. It is not true that a born titan can't be corrupted by the Void?
And looking into Pandemonius wiki I noticed something that is relevant now and another theory popped: he was one of Dimensius generals, a voidwalker and was bound by Nexus-Prince Shaffar and forced to continue sating his unending hunger in service to the ethereals. Voidwalker? Unending hunger? Locus Walker is Pandemonius?
This is another thing from the past they might repeat, for the worse. K'aresh being a mere patch, I would think it would deserve it's own expansion. Like Nazjatar, but that was a patch too.

find it very interesting that that the Ethereals and Brokers share quite a bit in common. The whispy like energy they are made of. Both into collecting. And the fact we have K'aresh and Tasavesh. cant just be a coincidence that both sound similar.
You know who else tells us about this.. Locus Walker in the cutscene when you do the harbinger questline maybe you should spend less time on alpha and check out the CURRENT game and updates...
what if... the Void Lords are the good guys
I think all of this sort of proves that the Sargeras was a good guy for trying to stop it; it was his means which although effective, were highly disagreeable. Which makes us the bad guys for stopping him. Illidan doomed us all.
That would make us the bad guys and that is not possible, since good and bad are but points of view. From our point of view we will always be the good guys, since we are fighting to protect ourselves and our beloved ones.
At least they sent their sons as pet for locks

Light and void are not good or bad. They are forces of nature like a hurricane. It appears bad to ya because of the effects of the planet. Think of a virus. It’s just doing what it does.
I’m pretty sure that’s why they brought Metzen back. Keep an open mind going into War Within.

As far as I’m concerned shadowlands was a nightmare conjured by. The old gods to drive us crazy. And buy them time to prepare. There actual plan of attack. Because every time I try to make sense. Out of the shadowlands lore my head starts hurting.

ok what if nexus king salhadar (typo) didnt die but became fully empowered by void and instead became locus walker and he is using aleria and by extension azeroth as a way to strike revenge on the void lords even if salhadar did die previously with the burning crusade being so many years ago is it out of the realm of possibility for a slight retcon maybe people just assumed he died instead he became locus walker and roamed until he found someone he thought might be useful to his goal...

It's too bad blizzard only makes lazy reskins for new races. Ethereals have needed to be playable for 18 years but it's never gonna happen, they are so lazy.

The beginning of the Worldsoul Saga feels like what I thought we were getting before Shadowlands was announced. Everything at the end of BfA pointed in this direction. Glad the lore team is finally taking us there.
I think that we keep looking at Azeroth like she is simply the most powerful world soul. World souls like the Pantheon, however I think we need to consider the idea that she may actually be a Star Soul. What does a Star do for its galaxy? Why is it everything revolves around Azeroth? Azeroth is known to be a being of creation, what are stars capable of? creation. Why is it that Azeroth look like a flaming sphere in the war within cinematic? Why do we call it a radiant song, another word for radiating rays or reflecting beams of light or vividly bright and shining, glowing. Azeroth is much more akin to a star then a world imo.
@roninhare Could I get you to pause a moment and consider that the war within cinematic teaser didn't actually demonstrate the voice is Azeroth at all? I'm well aware that many people would add an assumption from watching it, so no faulting you there. But there isn't any reliable evidence for confirming any such thing. Instead, we have many different sources of voices in warcraft fiction that it could be. Even one from Burning Crusade.....because it was proven multiple times that Light Naaru can invade your mind and speak with a melodic voice. And given the Beledar in Hallowfall..... I think it is incredibly possible and likely that the "voices" people are hearing are coming from within that crystal or others like it buried around Azeroth. Those Light crystals could also be the source of the Reorigination Holy Light laser beams which can be used from some Uld facilities, and which zapped N'Zoth at the end of bfa. So what if........those Uld facilities were built with fragments of a divided Light naaru being held inside them. The Titans may have believed they were protecting those fragments by storing them there..... but maybe as an unintended consequence, those fragments are not able to join back together to reactivate a Light being capable of opposing Dimensius. And so maybe Beledar in Hallowfall is reaching out with a voice to some of us champions to plead for help in letting them out and letting them recombine.
And if the above is true..... then it might be that K'aresh also had an embedded light being that was asking for help.... but the Ethereal precursors failed to ever answer the Light, since they had all their Arcane power and assumed it would be the way to save themselves; but was never going to be enough against the Void?
My guess, one of the big K'ressh ethereal is going to turn out to really be a Dread Lord.
I despise what theyve done to Alleria's design. She doesnt look anything like her old self. Her new design looks like utter garbage.
