although you need that fuel tank expansion canister for emissions, I removed it all together and haven't seen any change in the car. (definitely consider getting some high impedance injectors) love the build.
I would have loved to continue this build (ended up selling to buy a truck). From the research I did, I saw that the line is associated with how the tank is vented. Is it a MASSIVE safety concern or drivability issue? Probably not. Could it lead to future issues? Maybe but I am not an expert and usually gas tanks have atleast 2 layers of safety to make sure its not overpressurized and vented correctly.
Love the build, I'm a while off this with my 740 but I just want to figure out if this can be done neatly without pipes and wires going everywhere, call me OCD 😅
Totally can! If you want quality designed parts definitely check out Yoshifab if you haven't already. Difficult thing with 80's tech is so much of it is vacuum operated and thus why vacuum lines run everywhere (and cause so many issues) on these cars.
Interesting, Good ol' Von Burgundy was badged as a Volvo 760. The chassis code 765 seemed to reflect that but I could be wrong. I just used 740 for simplicity.
Here are some lessons learned, until you have a built motor that is designed for big power in the higher rpm’s - DON’T port the exhaust header. Mine took forever to spool. Once in boost, it was nice but I only wanted 200 RWHP and the 16G was more than enough for that but at the cost of some spool. If you want 300 RWHP, I think the 16G would be great based on the compressor map.
Maybe I’ll get my own… Han Volvo (Han Solo anyone???) or Von Solo. Or maybe I double down and Von Volvo. But I think it loses a little bit of the Han Solo identity if it’s doubled. I think Von Solo rolls off the tongue the best.
Check out CSF 6051. There are at least 3 different models of this intercooler so do your research but any of them will work. The difference is how many rows they have. Any of these are better than the stock IC.

Amazing stuff, wow.
Thank you!

@@RAPauto that's a very good point about all the vacuum lines, been waiting 2 months for an order from YoshiFab
Do you if that is due to supply issues or not?
@@RAPauto according to YoshiFab he was sick a while back and is still trying to catch up.
just a quick remind that is a 945 with a usa front just wanted to give you a remind. but cool buget build u got there

@@RAPauto 760 would make it a 6cyl, no?
youre comment makes me braindead, its obviously a 760
@@RAPauto youre correct, its a 760 the chrome and interior makes it obvious, i have a sedan 760
@@MrPhillybirds4ever the 760 came with the prv v6 and b23##
Great video
Thank you!
I have a 1991 Volvo 740 Turbo sedan 300,00km. I have the Mitsubishi Turbo but want to upgrade to 16G Turbo you have.

Bro come over so I can detail your engine bay!
I would love to if I lived close by and owned the 760 anymore 😢

Let's please be Volvo bros 🥰
This is not a VOLVO 740 it's a VOLVO 760 the VOLVO 740 does not have chrome bumper.
You are correct! “740” get’s more views on UA-cam so we went that direction to get more exposure.
Where is Von?!! We are twinsies xcept I got a 9 series
Von is gone…but there will be more Volvo goodness in the future!
That is a 765 not a 740 Turbo. I have identical 1990 409 Burgundy Red US Spec from new.
I agree! 740 gets more clicks for the algorithm 😉😬
Part number for cooler

Thank you very much
@0:05 At least you are sure it is a Volvo. 🤷♂
