Thank you for clarifying. I have a X5 xDrive35d 2014 and thinking of buying a new X5 but it’s a sDrive X5. Not sure how the drive will feel like. Will I need traction when going to wine country roads?
Hey, I guess it depends on where you drive. If you live where there is a lot of snow, then Xdrive would be a better option for you. I didn’t mind that It was Rwd, as I drove on normal roads and in the summer time. I think you should test drive both variants and see what you think. :) cheers :)
Thank you also :) BMW did make a 4WD BMW Typ 325 4x4 back in the WW2 era. If you type in BMW Typ 325 4x4 you will see some photos of it ) Have a great day.
Xdrive was the name given to their all wheel drive system. Sdrive is marketing nonsense for regular 2 wheel drive. I removed the Sdrive badge off my Z4. Gat sick of people asking me what is it.
So what’s the difference between a non-sDrive RWD car (such as my F22 M235i) and an sDrive RWD car (such as the new Z4)?
