People tend to be territorial anyway. Add wealth to the equation and you also have entitlement.
In fairness, I’m pretty sure she only hates poor people. Rich people have their own beach front properties and aren’t interfering with rights to never see people.
Have you been out lately? I hate other people too.
What she doesn't seem to understand is, her house is located on the beach, the beach is not located on her property.
Perfectly said!
This issue was well settled decades ago in Malibu and other areas where the rich and elite think they "own" the beach. Barbara Streisand, Martin Sheen and others put up chain link fences from the sidewalk access points, down to the beach, claiming that people were "trespassing". The town politicians, all buddies of theirs, failed to act when locals complained. But the coastal commission, once again, came and cut the fences down. When some put them back up, they got citations, that if they blocked access again, they would be arrested, famous or not, rich or poor. The same statement was made, "there are no private beaches in California".
I mentioned this on a different page.
I genuinely want to hug the coastal commission

Kudos? This is obvious established law what choice did they have? Kudos would have been if this woman had been arrested for assault.

Yes and due to this video she cannot terrorize others.
The homeowner was obnoxious, loud and rude, she wasn't terrorizing or following anyone down the beach. The kid and mom were fine.
No Karens at the beaches allowed.
That would be awfully discriminatory. It's wrong to discriminate against people because of their race, gender, ethnicity, religious background, sexual orientation, and country of origin. Yet you would bar every woman from the beach just because her name is Karen. What's next? Discriminating against Debbies, Carlas, Vickies, Susans, and Pamelas? Where does it stop? Then you'll start denying access to Toms, Harrys, Randys, Peters, Sams, and Michaels!

Actually, not the best example from the kids' parents either. The beach is public up to the high tide line, and they looked to be above the high tide line (and arguing about it). The best solution would be for the commission to come and mark officially where the high tide line is so that the lady can put up a fence or signs letting people know where public land ends.

While on a beach in Naples, Fl we had a condo owner come down and tell us to get off their beach. We had arrived just an hour or so after high tide so you could see how high the water had been. We refused to move, so she started grabbing our items and throwing them towards the water. Someone called the police and when they arrived, they witnesses some of the things she did. She almost went to jail but only ended up with a citation. Condo management came down and talked with the police, telling them that this woman was a wacko and they're constantly having to interfere with her interactions with the public and workers at the condo. After the police left many people who had witnessed the incident moved over to our area, filling up a large area. You could hear her in her apartment on the ground floor, screaming at the top of her lungs and hitting her sliding glass doors. It really got bad when a group came over with three large beach umbrellas. She called the police but this time they arrested her for striking an officer.

That’s why they keep people away from their property line. Especially if they are putting up multiple sides tents, which is illegal per California code.
In my small English town an older couple bought a house next to the church that's been standing for over 1000 years and complained about the church bells. They were told the same thing. She’s ridiculous what a fool
I remember similar situations back in the 1980s at Laguna Beach. Some people don't realize how fortunate they are to have beachfront property. They spread misery from their cold, shriveled hearts.
This woman doesn't represent all beach house owners. Once while walking along the beach in Malibu my dad was walking his dog off leash. I don't think dogs were even allowed on that beach, but it was a quiet stretch of sand and there was no one around. Except for one couple who were sitting on a blanket enjoying their lunch in front of their beach-front home. Pugsy ran wriggling over and stuck her nose in their stuff before dad could stop her. It was Danny Devito and his wife, and they couldn't have been nicer.
Their former nanny said Danny and his wife Rita were genuinely the nicest people and really good parents. Unlike the other families said nanny worked for - probably the reason nannies sign non-disclosure agreements now.
Before they got divorced they used to put on fireworks shows in Malibu.
