"The courses at the Irish Pagan School offer an in-depth approach to Irish paganism that is based on genuine history and folklore. There is so much here for curious learners of all levels to gain knowledge and insight on their spiritual paths while avoiding the misinformation that is sadly common in popular modern paganism. I have benefited greatly from the classes and look forward to taking more."

I love when you say “not hard to say”, it reminds me of the English translation of Irish mythology books I’ve read. Do you say this because you’ve been researching the mythology for so long or is it still a present phrase in Ireland? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I’ve just always wondered this, as an avid viewer (:

Question: I've heard that in Irish Paganism the "afterlife" belief is that we go into the Otherworld, but have also heard that the belief is transmigration of the soul. Can you explain how these are both the case?

Thats a very good question. Id like to hear the answer as well.
Id imagine its a conflation of the neopagan summerlands idea downline from theosophy, ceremonialism, and from that Alexandrian Wicca. And the transmigration of the soul a possible misinterpretation of the common Christian motif in where an eye witness is used to legitimize stories as a "survival" of paganism in 10th c remscéla to the lebor gabala.
It provides a contrast to the belief in a land of the dead portrayed across the 1000 years of mythology like the dindsenchas for Bull rock and the deargs in Da derga's hostel.

@@ByrneMJamesthe transmigration of souls was interpreted from myths where gods die and they’re just a fish now, or a cow, or another human being, perhaps bc they were swallowed by a pregnant woman when they were turned into a fly
