I love how every time they mention any Japanese town or village, it's always "famous for" their something. Be it some kind of meat, vegetables, seaweed, soybeans, tofu-skin, everyone seems to be good at something and proud of it.
You could use those frozen puddings as your ice packs when going on a picnic. It can keep things cold while it thaws and be perfectly ready once you get to where you want to go.

Those onigiri cakes look amazing. And the crepe exterior wrap just makes it own sense, especially with cakes having their on fillings 🍙❤🎂. Shinichi is right, having these machines nearby would be too, *too* convenient! I'd be visiting them several times a day, LoL

Hiiii boys! Whaaaaat? Every single thing you both had seriously looked like they were just made at a restaurant and bakery. That pizza was huge! I’m such a huge fan of kurobuta. Every single time I’m at Tokyo Central, that’s literally the only type of pork I will buy to cook with, so I would be all over the kurobuta gyoza or the kurobuta hambug that you had. I have always loved airline food. 😊 Thank you for sharing this amazing vending machine location. I cannot wait for you both to show us the ramen from Yamagata. I only buy my okome and soba from Yamagata now, because of brother Satoshi’s introduction to THESE amazing and best tasting foods. ❤

Oh this is ironic! I just found out that there's a noodle vending machine at my school! ... but everything was sold out. :( I think it might just be new and hasn't been stocked yet. I'm excited to try it because I've never seen one before!

I'm always amazed by the vending machine options there. I couldn't believe there was a vending machine with cow tongue, it's one of my favorite cuts of meat. There's a taco food truck here that sometimes has it and there used to be a deli that had tongue sandwiches ( piled high and so good) but they closed down🙁 and there's no other restaurants in my city that has it. Such a underappreciated cut of meat.

That pizza crust is so amazingly crisp! Can’t believe that came out of a vending machine.
That vending machine food looked incredible. The no melt cream Satoshi was explaining sounds an awful lot like cool whip here in North America. It's essentially stabilised whipped topping which is made from gelatin and hydrogenated oil and stuff and it prevents it from melting like normal whipping cream or ice cream would.

I was in Japan many years ago and remember the awesome vending machines on nearly every corner. These machines seem to be on a whole other level though! That parfait looked amazing with the fruits and layers. Yes, if they were too convenient to my house I'd be visiting too many times! Can't wait to see what other foods you will get from the machines.

No melt ice cream sounds like stabilized whipped cream. Pure whipped cream will turn into liquid, but the stabilized cream stays firm. If made at home, it contains gelatin and powdered sugar. Commercial versions may add various chemicals.

I really like that beef dish and the Onigiri-type dessert. I thought it was wrapped in Nori!
No microwave machines here so you’d have to take it back with you to your hotel or home to hear them up

Wow, Japan is amazing. Looks like quality meals all from a vending machine. Plus the presentation of the desserts - Onigiri Cake and Parfait in a can. I could tell that thoughts went into the packaging. I've been to Asagaya when I was growing up at Tachikawa US Air Force Base in the mid 60s to 70s. Now the land has been returned to Japanese government and converted to 昭和記念公園. Asagaya looks totally unrecognizable. Next station at Nakano - I recall going to 中野サンプラザ to see James Taylor concert and 五輪真弓 concert. Wonderful videos from you two - I enjoy following your tours of so many places and different cuisines from all over - not just in Japan but overseas.

HI Guys, Enjoyed the Video so much. Not such quality in US with frozen meals. The Hamburger patty in the Southern US would be called Hamburger Steak served with onions, mushrooms and gravy. Usually only when served on a bun would really be a Hamburger. I have never had pork hamburger steak and it looked very tasty.
Gourmet food is outside my comfort zone but if I ever visit I'll try most things once with in reason...
I wanted to see the Loko Moco, just to see how the egg turned out. I imagine it wouldn't be all that runny after freezing and then going through the microwave.
He mentioned never having chicken ramen. I think it's better than pork ramen. Can't remember the name, but there is a restaurant in Kyoto that is known for their chicken ramen and it was great.
Please try to remember, I will be in Kyoto in November and really want to try 😇😂
@@lannifincoris6482 Ha..found it. It's called No Name Ramen. UA-cam isn't letting me post a link. Look up "Inside Kyoto No Name Ramen". I got the thick soup option but it almost gets too rich by the end. I'd go with the layered option. FYI the soup base is chicken but the meat is pork.
