Thank you bro, your the only guy who actually showed what wire to connect too on the actual harness, my camera hasn’t been working for 3 weeks now until I watch your video, been watched over 15 different videos and they all for some reason skipped over the most important fking step, what wire to connect too.
Thanks for the video! I did need to use the black ground wire to the chassis on my car to get a proper signal on the camera, but otherwise everything is working perfectly and the CANBUS automatically detects when it's in reverse. No need for any wires to the reverse lights. Appreciate the guide!
Great video. I would however recommend making a Y joint out of cable matching the power required. Using bullet connectors to join it all together, With female being the live end of connection. I have worked on a few cars where splicing cables has resulted in burnouts and in extreme cases, even fires. It is rare but always a risk.
If the vehicle has canbus does the reverse trigger wire still need to be wired to the reverse light to trigger reverse or can it be powered using the 12v ant blue cable on the stereo wiring?
My wire also is pink on the wire adapter and marked as backup camera but it is not working at all when put in reverse so I’m gonna check to see if it’s the 3rd wire if not I’ll connect to whatever the 3rd wire is and hopefully it will rectify my problem. Thanks for this video I’ve been searching for almost two months for an answer a this is closest I got I hope this helps me. I will come back to let you know 😮
Does your pink wire from the aftermarket wire harness also connect to the pink wire of the factory wire harness as to why you had to splice the wire in the middle as opposed to simply connecting and crimping the camera and aftermarket wire harnesses together???
This is a very simple installation, but I prefer to route the cable better and also through the back door rubber instead of along it. Takes a bit more time but gives less problems in the future.
Hi. I have K2401 android unit. Which connector is for automatic front view after reverse gear? There are video aux, camera in and cvbs cam in connectors. Which is for bumper camera?
Great video. I have a quick question on mine. I tried the brown wire on the stereo and even the pink one and no power coming to the light. Any suggestions please, would be greatly appreciated

Hi, i've a mtk8163 with canbus and I connected the power to the third pin of the car radio. when I put the car in reverse the rear camera LEDs turn on but the video signal is not there. can you help me?
Not sure about the guidelines turning but as for audio when I put the car in reverse the audio is muted automatically it you can turn it back up with the volume whilst still in reverse
Question I have hooked up the wires in the head unit ran the wires back to the taillight I hooked red to the reverse light I did grown the black plugged the connectors in part but there is an extra red wire not sure so I just taped it up. But at the head unit I need to put camera setting on to use the back up not sure why? Could it be the extra red wire?

hi there, if it’s an android unit then the wire is most likely located on your power loom side and this loom plug and its socket is normally labelled “G” and the wire is number “5” on your unit’s diagram. Therefore G5. This will be your Reverse/Back/Rear power cable. Hope this helps you. I’m still baffled at why he didn’t need to hook up the Ground (negative power) wire🤔 and how it worked without it🤔or is that ground already wired to the Ground wire within the RCA Cable🤔🤔🤔
what is it with videos not having enough volume? If I crank to 100 (to actually hear this) when the YT ads come on, kiss the speakers good bye... as such, good bye til you fix the audio, and I look elsewhere for the same info put out by someone that knows how to manage audio levels.
hello can you help me i can’t get my camera to work in my 2014 caddy, there is a wire on mine that says camera + so tried that and nothing and also i tried the 3rd wire from the top that goes to the can is box and still nothing
I have connected and done everything to the video the camera works for a little and then loosing signal . If I start the van it looses signal straight away… any ideas ?
Thank you for this buddy but I am still trying to figure why mine is not working, I have attached the red wire from the camera to pin 3 I believe is Accessory wire at the back of android unit, at the back of the vehicle I have connected the video cable from the camera to the long cable connection and the connected the ground cable, red wire connected to reverse light. with all these but don’t get video, only trajectory lines. I have canbus and my unit is by T’eyes. Is there anyway you can help with diagnosis. Thank you again.
Its not always the third wire on some harnesses, but it is always the third wire on the android unit. if you see a wire labelled "Back" or "Reverse" use it
I tried this step by step with my new android screen and is not working for me. Any idea why would that be? I just get no signal when in reverse, and tried to switch to ntsc and pal and everything
I also have the same issue and cannot find any videos to address the problem. If anyone knows can they reply to this post? Could it be the camera itself?
@@johnmichler4162 I was connecting camera cable to cvbs cable that was with the bunch of other aux cables , but it was supposed to connect to another one separated from the rest
You really should use proper wire connectors and splicers in car installation instead of just twisting wires together and putting a bit of tape over it. That's just half-assing it and asking for trouble eventually.

@alzyonline yes I got a reply! I bought the following reverse Cambus / Adapter, for it to work with these after-market android units. I must state the quality of the reverse camera with this cambus is poor. Hence why I've returned the whole unit for a better operating unit.
