This is my first Rodale exposure. I have a BS in AGR. And grew up leaning into organic and permaculture, renewables etc. then farm animal veterinarian until a farm accident. Now MD with specialty board certifications in Dermatology and Cutaneous Oncology. Your work is the future. I’ll be at your medical conference. I had no idea you started as the Soil and Health Foundation. Inspired. Hope to contribute to this more and more.
Regeneration equals restoration of people, then society. Bless you guys, and thank you for the mission and carrying the torch for the shift we all need for our future health.
Thank you again! I‘m so much with you with all my heart 💚 This conversation is a Very inspiring and useful reminder for all of us with the same urge in our heart! Bless you!
Another very inspiring episode! I am extremely grateful for your work
JM, this one was the best! Why? Because of the genuineness and quality of each of your individual responses that effortlessly harmonized during this podcast. This IS REGENERATIVE!!!
Merci!
In the 70's, my teens, I made the fitness connection through competitive sports.
In the 80's I continued strength training in the construction industry and weight training.
In the 90's I made the connection with nutrition, which got me noticed in the gym.
I continued bodybuilding and eating like a bodybuilder throughout my life.
Now, at 62, I have planted my last flag on my own slice of paradise. 2024 I dubbed the year of the soil. Making decent progress and can't wait to see the plan come together in 2025. My connection with the earth came 40 years too late, so I hope I have 50 left to show off for my children.
So stoked to see two Pennsylvania farmers back to back! Very proud of the movements here to grow organically and build a community around agriculture!
In my formative gardening years, I was a subscriber to Organic Gardening Magazine in the 70's and 80's - great information for the health conscience gardener.
Good to see Jeff on the podcast! Great episode!
Love this so much!!
There are still heirloom varieties out there but I do understand that commercial growers use "new and improved" seeds and starts.
Rodale has about 50 videos to view, courses, visits etc.
Do the health food conferences still happen?

Some varieties of produce have been designed to be more shelf stable at the detriment of nutritional value.
“Some” varieties is an understatement. All commercial varieties for conventional farmers have been bread or modified for high yield, disease resistance and easy transport. These are not the qualities consumers are looking for.
Farmers have been taught by the university educated folks to do all the inputs. They have been pressured to get greater quantities at harvest for less money. A lot of the issues were promoted by tax-supported, cheap-food policies. Your blaming of the farmers is not properly placed. Peter Byck is making a diffence by educating farmers of regenerative methods and the science that supports regenerative principles.
