    Taylor 424ce Special Edition 2023 - Shaded Edgeburst Walnut/Walnut
Walnut Top Wood - Though better known and more widely used as a back and side wood, walnut also offers a distinctive musical flavor as a soundboard wood. Its physical density and stiffness are akin to Hawaiian koa, generating a similar natural compression effect when used as a top wood that results in a smooth, balanced attack. Players will notice crisp trebles and a woody, warm low-end response that matures and grows richer with time and playing. Walnut generates a bit more presence in the midrange than koa, providing some of mahogany’s dryness and focus in the center of the tonal spectrum balanced by a touch of overtonal texture similar to rosewood.
Walnut Body Wood - Like koa, walnut’s density and stiffness yield bright treble notes, but with a more present midrange that splits the difference between rosewood and mahogany. The bass tones initially produce a woody character that will grow richer with time and extended play.

Wonderful guitar. I think if it was satin finish and black binding as opposed to white... mmmmmm perfection. That aside, someone is going to be a very happy owner. Cheer.

Compare the 814ce to the 314ce; the 814ce is a LOT brighter.
